Mam has been looked after well.

My mother-in-law suffers from dementia. Maycroft Manor is perfect for her condition. She is allowed to roam around the whole spacious floor, never confined to her room. If she wants to roam in the middle of the night, it is allowed.

Have always found all staff very kind and caring and Dad has been extremely happy since day one. The only issues for me being that I feel more attention needs to be paid to his personal care.

The standard of care is generally very high. The accommodation is very good. Some of the staff that have been at Maycroft for some time are exceptional. Unfortunately, the level of attrition seems high. I wonder if they are offered sufficient remuneration to encourage more staff to stay longer.
Managers
seem not to stay long. More needs to be done to encourage the best staff to stay.

We are very happy with the care our relative receives in Maycroft. The staff are friendly and helpful.
He is treated with respect and is well taken care of.
We are certain that he is always safe and happy and that means we are not worried about his welfare as we were before we moved him here.
Thank
you to all the staff.

Overall very good care for both my parents.
I am happy with my parents' general health and the food and environment they experience.
There could be more communication on a regular basis to let me know how they are doing.

My mother has been a resident at Maycroft for the last three years.
Throughout that time she has been supported by the staff here with great care and exceptional attention to the different needs that my mother has at this challenging time in her life.
All the staff seem to have a genuine fondness
for my mother and an understanding of her as an individual as well as her dementia needs.
She is treated with dignity at all times and staff are always warm and friendly to all my family.

My mother has been here for 1 year, I feel she is looked after well and I don't worry about her safety.
The staff are kind and caring.
My mother has dementia and has taken a long time to settle here.
Not the fault of the staff but her illness, which causes her great confusion.

I have found on my 2 weekly visits an excellent atmosphere at Maycroft Manor. Care staff always close at hand, friendly and co-operative. All residents appear happy and content. Allowed to walk about on this floor. Staff interaction i.e visitors and residents very good. It is very apparent all are well
cared for and treated very well.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.881)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.881) out of 10 for Hallmark Maycroft Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.881 for Hallmark Maycroft Manor is calculated as follows: ( (242 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 260 Ratings = 4.881
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hallmark Maycroft Manor is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 105 registered maximum number of service users is 21, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
