When I visit staff are always pleasant. The home is always clean and tidy.
The staff at Eden House Care Home are very friendly and caring. In a perfect world, there would be one extra person to call in to check on residents, help with minor problems and reassure them.
Many thanks for your review, we are delighted by your comments and review and will share them with the team. We analyse our residents’ dependencies each month and set our staffing levels as according to the residents’ dependencies and can assure you our staffing levels meet our residents' needs. In...
Staff make this care home an amazing place for my mam to live. All of them are so caring and always friendly and extremely helpful. They make a fuss of the residents and are always so lovely to them all. It puts my mind at rest, ensuring my mam is well looked after 24/7 with the best care I could ask for.
I would highly recommend Eden House. I can't believe how well my godmother has settled in and how welcome she was made to feel from day one. She has dementia but didn't struggle with the transition to 24hr care like we expected, all of the staff have been fantastic, from the moment I contacted them to just ask for a look around the home. I instantly knew this was going to be the right place. All of the staff work so hard and no amount of thanks can show my appreciation for the reassurance I get knowing my godmother is safe and cared for by wonderful staff 24hrs a day.
I am very happy with the outstanding care at Eden House for my mother. Hygiene is very good and Mam is always kept clean and dressed by her carers. Her room and bathroom are kept exceptionally clean and Mam is settling in well since her diet has been addressed.
My mam came to Eden House for respite after being unwell and was well cared for by pleasant, helpful staff. After becoming very poorly again and a stay in hospital for two weeks she returned again. The staff have looked after her very well, there's always a cheery face to make her laugh and look after her needs. She has now become a permanent resident as she has been so well after the last few months, it was obvious that the kind, professional care she received was what she needed 24 hours a day.
This review states 'do not use names' but we wish to single out a Senior Carer for her kindness and professionalism and standard of work. She exemplifies the idea of residents being treated with dignity. Having a person of her calibre is very reassuring. All the standards asked about are Satisfactory to Excellent. However she is beyond excellent, she is exceptional.
From the moment you walk in you are welcomed, everywhere is clean and organised.
The rooms are tastefully furnished and become the residents' little bit of home. My mother-in-law loves the food and is just so happy and well cared for. I would recommend to anyone.
My mum has just left Eden Care Home after being there since November 2021. In that time she has been treated extremely well and I have no complaints whatsoever. The only reason she is leaving is that she has been offered a flat near me and wants to see if at 82 she can live independently for a little longer before probably returning to the care home. The staff are very friendly and caring, the housekeepers, the room my mum had was lovely and the management team are very organised and professional. I would thoroughly recommend this care home and I'm fussy when it comes to my mum!
What a lovely caring professional home. Not only did they look after mam making her last two years so happy and safe but the staff treated us like family. They made sure we were supported and were there whenever we needed them.
My mother has spent the last 2 1/2 years in Eden House. She was 92 and didn't want to leave her bungalow, but was not safe there any longer and needed 24hr care. From the first visit to see mam, the manager was wonderful. Mam went from going into hospital every 3 mths with severe water infections, not going out of the house apart from to hospital in approx 2 yrs, to a lovely caring home. She took some of her favourite furniture and in a short time was eating very well. The food was lovely, particularly the cakes. She had her chair overlooking the garden and a patio door to step out to it. Mam made many friends, particularly from the staff. We as a family were always welcome and before covid even encouraged to join in with her to see entertainers. It gave her a life again instead of just existing. I will never forget the amazing care and kindness to us all. The staff are amazing here.
My sister and I are very happy with the care my mother receives. The staff are kind and patient with her - catering for her food requests, needs and responding when she needs help.
My mum has been in Eden House since February. I have found the staff extremely helpful and very caring to Mum. They continue to offer support to Mum and myself and are happy to answer any queries or questions. We are very pleased and grateful for the care given to Mum at this extremely difficxul and challenging time.
My mother has been in Eden House since September 2020. The care she has received has been excellent. The staff are very caring. My mother has settled in well and enjoys the food. It was a difficult decision for her to go into care, but we couldn't have found anyway better and would highly recommend.
The care and support that Mam has received since moving into Eden House has been outstanding. I knew in my heart of hearts that I could not provide the level of care that Mam needed during this phase of her life. This was very difficult for me to accept but thanks to the support that Eden House has provided I can rest knowing that Mam is safe and surrounded by people who genuinely care. They are a dedicated highly skilled team that always has Mam's best interest at heart. It gives me great comfort knowing my Mam is in their care.
The staff are very caring, very helpful and extremely professional. This is the first time I have ever dealt with a care home and they have made every step of the way easy. I can't thank them enough for all their help and care with my dad and myself.
Our experience has been incredible. The care, comfort and kindness that our mum enjoys has really brought something special to this phase of her life. She feels safe and enjoys the sociable aspects. I never would have thought it could be so positive to see Mum make the decision to live in a care home, but of course, Eden House is different!
My last two visits, it has taken a long time to get in. There has been no visible sign of staff and even tried phoning form the door (no answer). There was no matron or staff that I saw downstairs. My Mam is upstairs. There were no staff in the lounge, or on the desk, which is supposedly managed 24/7. The cleanliness has declined, especially since HC-One took over.
Eden House is a residential home and family members are given the entrance code for the building although this does change for security purposes. Staff are not allocated to the reception desk on the Ground Floor but are alerted to visitors at the door by the doorbell which is connected to the call...
My mam has recently come into your care home where she was made to feel at home straight away. The care is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are lovely. I would thoroughly recommend this home to anyone who is thinking about having to go into residential care.
I would not hesitate to recommend Eden House. The care that my mother received was excellent, and also the kindness the staff showed to me was second to none. It almost felt like a second family.
