Having experiences urgent respite care in nursing home near my hospital, I was pleased to move in Signature where I am treated like a valued "guest"- nothing too much trouble and all the staff friendly and helpful. I feel safe here and valued. My family nearby can visit when ever and value my care and safety when they have to go abroad etc, I love it!
Thank you for finding the time to submit this lovely review. Your kind words and positive commentary means so much to everyone here at Coombe Hill Manor.
My mother required aftercare from having a full knee replacement. The professionalism and kindness of all the staff, assisted in her recovery.
The excellent food, 24/7 support and nursing care and the lovely environment she had made us all feel relieved that she was so well looked after.
Having her cocker poo being able to visit was an added bonus.
This was for a weeks period until she got more physically able. Physiotherapy was put in place to also assist her progress.
Thankyou to all the team.
Thank you so much for submitting this wonderful review - your kind words and positive commentary is truly appreciated. It was an absolute pleasure having your mother stay with us. Wishing her onward recovery to be a speedy one.
The care at Coombe Hill Manor is excellent. My mother's apartment is lovely and kept immaculately clean. The home is extremely well run and organised with the activities team organising many interesting and fun outings for the residents. The team on the front desk are welcoming and reassuring at all times. I have peace of mind knowing that my mum is in good hands.
We really appreciate you finding the time to send this lovely review. This will mean so much to the team who work tirelessly to ensure standards are maintained across all areas of the home on a daily basis.
Has settled well into Signature care Home, Coombe Hill Manor.
She is living in a lovely ground floor flat with a lounge/ bedroom / kitchen area and en-suite bathroom. She likes that she can lock the door when she goes out and also has some kitchen facilities.
She really enjoys the activities provided, particularly the exercise classes.
She has made a friend who she sits with for meals.
The decor and facilities are lovely and the staff always friendly and helpful.
My Mum enjoys routine which she is able to maintain in the home. The nursing staff have kept a close eye on her medication and enable her to maintain as much independence as possible. They also keep a close eye on her blood pressure.
Her only complaint at times has been that the food isn't always to her liking but when she asks the staff have very obligingly changed her meals to suit her needs.
We are very happy with where she is living and it is very convenient for three out of her four daughters. Thank you!
Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are really pleased that your mother has settled in so well here at Coombe Hill Manor. Your positive commentary is truly appreciated and means a lot to everyone here.
My mother had her birthday at Coombe Hill, she had a lunch for some of her extended family. The staff where brilliant making the whole event a great success. I am sure we overran on time but nothing was too much of a problem. Thanks again
Thank you so much for finding the time to write this review. Your positive commentary and feedback is very much appreciated.
Despite being 88 years old, I had never considered moving from my comfortable and conveniently located house to any kind of care home. Therefore I had no expectations when told the best option for my future comfort and safety would be to live in a care home. I have no family, so I relied on the advice of my close friends. They did a series of investigations into what was offered to residents, and thankfully decided that Signature at Coombe Hill Manor would be the best for me. I am constantly grateful that they made that decision. Apart from the professionalism of the staff, the main attraction for us residents is that the staff are always warm and smiling, and are constantly looking at how they can improve.
Thank you for finding the time to complete this review. Rest assured this will be shared amongst the team. Your kind words and positive commentary means so much to everyone here.
My mother has been living in Auguste (dementia community) at Coombe Hill for just over a year now, and I have only become more impressed and happy with her quality of life and care during that time. What strikes me in every interaction with carers and staff is just how well they know her: her quirks, what excites her, her preferences. She's treated and known as an individual, and despite the restrictions her dementia imposes on her ability to express herself, her personality is understood and taken into account in everything. My mother is genuinely happy at Coombe, and both tells and shows me that every time i visit.
The continuity of staff means she has the reassurance of ongoing relationships with carers, and that's also very comforting for me as a relative, knowing they are in a good position to notice any changes in her capacity, wellbeing or behaviour. And communication from staff is excellent: frictionless and super-efficient by email and phone, and always warm in person.
Thank you so much for your kind and positive commentary, this is really appreciated. This means a lot to the team who ensure standards across the board are maintained on a daily basis. We are grateful for the time invested in writing this heartfelt review.
I knew nothing of the care home prior to being referred here by my GP on the grounds of my minor cognitive permanent and severe degeneration of the spine and I continue to ve very grateful to him.
Thank you so much for finding the time to write this review. Scoring us 5 out of 5 in all areas means so much to the team here at Coombe Hill Manor.
The staff are, without exception, courteous, caring and very friendly. There are a great many activities every day. I would definitely recommend Coombe Hill Manor to anyone looking for a safe, friendly home for a relative.
Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation - this really means a lot to the team here at Coombe Hill Manor
Everyone was so understanding of all the significant factors involved in taking the decision about such an important lifestyle change. The balance between being relaxed and professional shone through.
To know my brother is in such a warm, friendly, stimulating and safe environment is very reassuring for his future and our peace of mind.
Thank you so much for finding the time to write this review. Your kind words and positive commentary really means a lot to the team here at Coombe Hill Manor.
The care is simply exceptional here. The transition from living alone and independently to moving here has been managed beautifully. We could not have imagined how quickly this would feel like home. Every single member of the team has been simply charming and genuinely seem happy to be doing their roles and to help in any way. The range of activities has been a huge plus with trips and music being highlights.
Thank you for such a heartwarming review! It is a pleasure to have your mother in law stay with us who is a wonderful lady. It also gives us great pleasure to hear about her journey so far and we look forward to sharing many more moments with her.
All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful in caring for the residents. I feel absolutely comfortable knowing that my grandmother is in their capable hands and the range of activities they offer is one of a kind. I sincerely recommend signature care homes to anyone looking for a sociable, clean, homely place for their loved ones.
Your grandmother is certainly one of a kind and we are pleased to hear that she is settling in well. Thank you once again for the wonderful feedback, it means a lot to us all.
The only negative is that she doesn't have independent access to an outside space, although the garden is lovely and she can access any time providing she has someone to accompany her.
Thank you so much for finding the time to write this lovely review. Your kind words and positive feedback really mean a lot to the team here at Coombe Hill Manor.
There are no words really. Thank you does not start to express my gratitude for my mother. Staff, especially some, are very special. Book yourself into rooms on the ground floor where all the 'action' and 'activity' is. The food is excellent, and above all else I felt mum was safe here, and well looked after. Reception are lovely and the connection with the local GPs and hospital is a Godsend. Yes, it is expensive, but I felt I would rather my mother benefit in her care in her golden years, rather than the government in their taxes and my mum needs that level of care in her situation. Staff are excellent. Facilities great. Car park perhaps needs to be larger.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review, this really means a lot to the team here and will help others who seek a similar experience for their loved one(s).
Signature Coombe Hill Manor is an extremely welcoming and friendly place. My sister has settled in so well and the dignified care and attention she has received have had a huge impact on her health. I have felt particularly impressed with the professionalism of all staff and their caring attitude and their willingness to support any request.
Thank you Carmel for such a wonderful review! It is a pleasure to have your sister stay with us who is a remarkable lady. It also gives us great joy to hear about your experience and how you are delighted with the person-centred care that we provide at our home.
My sister has dementia. She moved into Coombe Hill in May. I think what I appreciate most is the attitude of all the staff who are very caring and tolerant of her because I know she can be quite demanding. I am also impressed by the medical support she is getting from the GP and I get regular reports if she has any health problems. Sadly she is not willing to join in the activities provided by the home so I can't comment on that, but I believe she is being well looked after in a safe environment which is what I wanted.
Thank you for your positive commentary about Coombe Hill Manor. We understand that moving into a care setting can be unsettling for many, particularly if you are living with dementia. So glad the team were able to support her and provide the onward care which we trust offers some reassurance and peace of mind.
I cannot recommend Coombe Hill Manor more highly. The staff are so kind, patient, and caring and always available to chat about any concerns we might have. They helped us so much with the actual move, keeping us fully updated on how she was settling. All her needs are met and she is treated with dignity and respect even when her behaviour is challenging. She is settling well and enjoying the many stimulating activities provided. My family and I could not be happier with our choice of home.
Thank you so much for finding the time to write this wonderful 5-star review. Your positive comments and feedback mean so much to the team and offer valuable insight to others seeking care for their loved ones.
On arriving a month ago, nothing was a problem., making life for us as relatives much easier.
The way they have helped my mother join in with activities and the gentle manner of the care is exceptional and my sisters and I are pleased to have moved our mother to this facility as she is safer and better cared for than in her home.
Your kind words and positive comments about Coombe Hill Manor are truly appreciated. Rest assured this will be passed on to the team who work incredibly hard every day to maintain the high standards Signature expects and that the Residents deserve.
My mum (87 years old) moved into CHM in June 2024 straight from a local hospital after being a patient for a few weeks. This was a shock after being in her home in Kingston for over 50 years. Three members of staff, in particular, were all so helpful about the move at a stressful time, and my mum moved in while I was away, so I was so grateful for their care. 5 months later, Mum is still at CHM and is happy and well cared for. All the staff are so approachable and on-hand, and both Mum and I have great relationships with them all. They are now helping steer Mum into making more friends in CHM, but I love the fact that Mum's apartment feels like an independent warm space rather than feeling as if it is in a medical institution or typical care home. I feel welcome to visit anytime, and I know that her other external friends love visiting too. Those three members of staff continue to be my main contacts, and their care and advice is always appreciated. Reception, nurses, catering, and carers are all brilliant - thank you!
We really appreciate your kind words and positive feedback. We are so pleased that your mother has settled in so well. This 5-star review means a lot to everyone here at Coombe Hill Manor.
Splendid staff and food.
Thank you so much for finding the time to complete this review. Your kind words and a 5-star rating in each of the judged categories are truly appreciated.

Meet the Team (5)

As Client Liaison Manager, I am your first point of contact when you make an initial enquiry. I am committed to handling your enquiry with care and integrity, supporting you and any loved ones throughout the process, from initial viewing to move-in, and offering my full support, trust and guidance, as well as a listening ear. Having spent most of my career working within the banking and finance sector, my years working in social care have been very enlightening for me. I have learnt so much about elderly care and continue to learn something new each day. I have also had the honour of meeting some wonderful people and it has been a privilege to be part of their personal journey. I can truly say that this is the best job in the world, where each day brings a new challenge and experience.

Growing up in a family of three nurses, it felt only natural to follow in their footsteps. I qualified in South Africa after completing a four-year Integrated Nursing Course at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, becoming qualified in General Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatry and Community Healthcare. Wanting to deepen my knowledge, I went on to specialise for an additional year in Mental Health.
After travelling and working across Europe, including Switzerland, Greece and Israel, I settled in the UK and spent 15 years with one of Bupa’s largest nursing homes, progressing through roles including Nurse, Clinical Services Manager, Training Coordinator and Deputy Manager. During this time, I studied Dementia at Kingston University, gained my mentorship qualification at City University, and led the home to achieve Gold Standards Framework Beacon status for End of Life Care, the highest accolade in this field, which the home continues to hold.
I joined Signature at Coombe Hill Manor as Care Services Manager and was appointed General Manager in June 2016. I am deeply passionate about resident care and ensuring the highest standards are reached and maintained. Every person in our community has a voice, and we are here to support their choices, respect their dignity, and provide the care they need to begin a new chapter at Coombe Hill Manor. Together with a wonderful team, we focus on creating meaningful moments, always asking, what else can we do, and providing true peace of mind for families.

I have over 16 years of experience delivering advanced medical and surgical nursing across both the NHS and private sector. Throughout my career, I have held senior leadership roles including Director of Nursing, Clinical Director and Band 8a Senior Nurse, with extensive training in critical care and high dependency settings. I completed my pre and post-graduate studies at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, King’s College London, including an MSc in Gastrointestinal Nursing, and trained as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at City, University of London.
I am deeply passionate about my profession and committed to creating a positive, compassionate experience for our residents and their families. In my role as Clinical Services Manager at Signature, I play a key part in upholding and enhancing the ethos of the home, while supporting and developing our team to deliver the very highest standards of care.

I started my career in care after graduating from university in 2018, and I became a carer whilst figuring out what I wanted to do long term, but after a few weeks, I knew I wanted to progress my career in the care sector. Shortly after this, I became a Care and Training Practitioner, progressing to Care Coordinator and then became a Registered Branch Manager with the CQC in a span of 3 years in domiciliary care in Wimbledon. I absolutely loved making a difference to people’s lives every day in their homes, but I wanted to expand my knowledge and experience within the care home sector. Since the moment I walked into Coombe Hill Manor, I was greeted by smiles and warmth from team members and our residents. Truly, the residents are at the heart of everything here, and the team really care about making Coombe Hill a lovely place to live.

I fell in love with hospitality when I first set foot behind a bar 20 years ago and felt compelled to pursue a career in the industry. I graduated from the University of Surrey in 2009 with a BSc in International Hospitality Management and spent the early years of my career working in hotels and events. Out of sheer curiosity, I joined Signature in 2012 to explore what hospitality could look like within the care sector, and I quickly felt I had found my calling. Blending five-star hotel service with such an exceptionally high standard of residential and nursing care has been an exciting and rewarding challenge for over 10 years now. The greatest reward in what I do is having the opportunity to make people feel special. To do this for the residents and team members within Signature Homes is a privilege that I hold very close to my heart.
