Signature at Coombe Hill Manor is an established home situated in the beautiful surroundings of Kingston-Upon-Thames. The home is purpose built and offers exceptional accommodation, which is affordable and of a very high standard. Headed up by a very experienced General Manager, the team at Coombe Hill Manor offers a very warm welcome to all - it is a care home like no other in the area.

Coombe Hill Manor is proud to offer two fully licensed restaurants, the menu being dictated by current residents and an in-house café for residents and visitors to enjoy afternoon tea and homemade cakes. There is also a large Wellbeing and Lifestyle Team which provide trips out, visiting speakers, performers and activities. There is also an in-house hair salon, spa and treatment room.

A typical one bedroom suite offers a bedroom and separate lounge and kitchen with a full en-suite wet room. It is unique in that the home offers double the space of most care homes and it is ideal for those wanting extra room or for couples who want to stay together. There are also smaller studios for those who prefer something more cosy. The rooms come unfurnished allowing residents to bring those special objects, which helps the settling in process.

Residents range from those who are relatively independent and still drive through to those who require full nursing, dementia or end of life care. Coombe Hill provides discreet support in a place which is not institutional and as much like home as possible.

Our father was incredibly well looked after and cared for by the amazing team at Coombe Hill Manor. It was wonderful to have the peace and tranquility in the beautiful garden not only for my father but also for family. The attention to detail and attending to any needs was amazing. Lovely restaurants
and areas to sit have coffee/tea and chat. All the carers are warm friendly and genuinely care for the residents. Which gave us all a sense of peace knowing he was in good hands.
It will always hold a special memory of where our lovely dad spent his final days.

I cannot speak highly enough of Coombe Hill. The staff on Auguste looked after my mother so lovingly and with such care. She had such a great quality of life in her three years at CHM. The activities were wonderful and beautifully matched to my mother's interests and hobbies. I would like to thank all

Mum has been a resident at Coombe Hill for 18 months. I delayed writing a review based on prior experiences with my parents in other care homes, as standards can vary significantly over time and CQC snapshots taken every few years cannot capture the nuance needed to identify truly outstanding homes.
Based
on our experiences, I can confidently say that Coombe is exceptional in all the areas that matter most to residents and their families. The excellence begins with the staff, led by the manager, but everyone we interact with is incredibly kind, conscientious, and compassionate. The consistency of high standards attention to detail, and proactive engagement over the past 18 months gives me great reassurance that Mum is in safe hands.
Given her condition, there may be a rocky path ahead but I have peace of mind that she will be well cared for. I couldn't ask for anything more and am deeply grateful to the Coombe team for their dedication and commitment to providing outstanding care to its residents.

Our father recently took up residence. We have been extremely happy with the level of care. The facilities are excellent and the staff are approachable and caring. Coombe Hill is a wonderful, happy place. My Dad has been here for six months and the progress that he has made in that time, following a stroke, is remarkable. Mark made the whole process of moving my Dad in seamless and stress-free. He could not have been more helpful and compassionate. The activities
and exercises classes on offer are wide-ranging to suit a variety of interests. There is also enough space to be as private as you wish. The daily menu offers a huge range of choices and the standard of food, which I have sampled many times, is excellent. The staff are warm, gentle and respectful with an excellent sense of humour. I feel my dad is in very good hands and I often tell him how spoilt he is (particularly on his birthday when everyone made such a fuss of him)! I have found the team very responsive to any queries or requests that I have, in person, by phone or by email.

Signature Coombe Hill Manor proved to be the perfect place for Dad to recuperate after a hip fracture. Staff were incredibly helpful when we first enquired and were able to give us flexibility as we weren't sure exactly when he would be discharged from hospital. The care he received was fantastic and
all staff treated him respectfully and kindly. The range of activities is excellent. He was really quite sad to be leaving. As visitors, we were always greeted by very welcoming staff. Communication, when he needed GP treatment, was very good.

My mother was in Coombe Hill for some respite care. The staff were so kind, caring and compassionate, as well as always having a smile - the quality of care was outstanding from all of them. The facilities were extremely good, and always something going on for the residents while allowing them the freedom
to join in or not. Friends and family are made to feel part of the community there.

Our mum came to you in November 2023 after four and half months in hospital. We were all impressed by your kindness and professionalism, food, activities and lovely environment.
Sadly, Mum died on New Year's Eve very peacefully. We are grateful to you for a dignified last chapter in her life.

My mother was a resident for over five years. Everything about Coombe Hill Manor is excellent, from the facilities and surroundings to the food and activities. But what makes it really stand out is the wonderful staff. The final month of my mother's life involved palliative care, and she was able to
return from the hospital to be looked after in familiar surroundings. The love and care that she was shown by everyone during those last four weeks was beyond magnificent, and it made it feel as though she was being looked after by her own family.

Excellent care, nursing, facilities and food. My friend was quite unwell when he arrived in March, but is now thriving. I have witnessed genuine care from the staff and they have always been helpful with my various requests. I enjoy visiting my friend as it feels like I'm on holiday!

When my mother returned to Coombe Hill Manor after a serious operation to repair a fractured femur following a fall, the staff there were quite superb in swinging into action to facilitate her rehabilitation and recovery. Nothing was too much trouble, and my mother is now fully on the road to recovery.
I and my siblings take huge comfort in knowing that she is in very good, caring and, above all, capable hands.
The manager currently heads up a very impressive and professional team at Coombe Hill Manor who genuinely care about what they do. My mother feels very, very at home there. She has lived there now since this care home opened just over nine years ago.

I am still a relatively new resident. It took me a while to settle in and I can honestly say that some 8 weeks later I am beginning to feel at home. The carers and staff have helped so much with this process. I was encouraged to take part in the activities and despite early resistance, I am enjoying
meeting fellow residents and there are activities to meet every need. Mostly there is freedom, no unnecessary rules, only friendships and help.

My father has been resident at Coombe Hill Manor since soon after it opened nine years ago and we are so pleased that he has been able to spend his latter years in such a supportive, friendly and caring community. He has been so happy at Coombe, living quite an active life initially, with the care received
adapting seamlessly to his changing needs. The staff, from the management down, are all so attentive, cheerful and go out of their way to ensure the physical comfort and mental well-being of the residents, always treating those in their care with dignity. There is an overwhelming atmosphere of mutual respect across the generations, which is exceptional. There is a great sense of community, with family and friends always made to feel welcome whether just visiting or included in events. Of course the facilities are five star; the suite, dining rooms, cinema and gardens. Coombe Hill Manor really is a special place and we, as a family, are so grateful to have found it.

My father has been a resident at Coombe Hill Manor for the last month.
The complete experience has been exceptional:
- Initial discussions about becoming a resident were dealt with extremely professionally and efficiently, and all information was completely clear.
- The room/apartment was modern
and clean, and the ability to put my father's own furniture in (using reliable transport) made the place feel like home immediately.
- Exceptional care is given by all staff; nurses, careers, handymen, and management could not be faulted - all treated my father (and indeed my brother and me) with the utmost respect and empathy.
- Facilities at Coombe Manor Hill are excellent, from food and restaurants to activities and, indeed, the ease of getting around.
All in all, my father, brother and I have nothing but praise for the Coombe Hill Manor staff, ambience and overall caring service they provide.

My mother spent three weeks in Coombe Hill Manor after a 4-week hospital stay. She was pretty frail on admission, but thanks to the attentive and extremely caring nurses and carers, she left looking and feeling much stronger.
I had no idea when we booked the room that there would be so many carers;
the care provided exceeded our expectations. They are always smiling and happy.
All medication issues were sorted for Mum during her stay.
The food was lovely. Snacks are available throughout the day.
The reception team could not do enough for you at all times.
The maintenance team ensured Mum had everything working in her large room with a kitchenette.
She loved the cinema where a wide range of films can be seen.
She had her hair done weekly, and also a great pedicure made her feel more herself.
We can’t thank everyone enough.
She was made to feel special, and I’m sure she will return at some point.

Growing up in a family of three nurses, it felt only natural to follow in their footsteps. I qualified in South Africa after completing a four-year Integrated Nursing Course at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, becoming qualified in General Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatry and Community Healthcare. Wanting to deepen my knowledge, I went on to specialise for an additional year in Mental Health.


After travelling and working across Europe, including Switzerland, Greece and Israel, I settled in the UK and spent 15 years with one of Bupa’s largest nursing homes, progressing through roles including Nurse, Clinical Services Manager, Training Coordinator and Deputy Manager. During this time, I studied Dementia at Kingston University, gained my mentorship qualification at City University, and led the home to achieve Gold Standards Framework Beacon status for End of Life Care, the highest accolade in this field, which the home continues to hold.


I joined Signature at Coombe Hill Manor as Care Services Manager and was appointed General Manager in June 2016. I am deeply passionate about resident care and ensuring the highest standards are reached and maintained. Every person in our community has a voice, and we are here to support their choices, respect their dignity, and provide the care they need to begin a new chapter at Coombe Hill Manor. Together with a wonderful team, we focus on creating meaningful moments, always asking, what else can we do, and providing true peace of mind for families.

I have over 16 years of experience delivering advanced medical and surgical nursing across both the NHS and private sector. Throughout my career, I have held senior leadership roles including Director of Nursing, Clinical Director and Band 8a Senior Nurse, with extensive training in critical care and high dependency settings. I completed my pre and post-graduate studies at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, King’s College London, including an MSc in Gastrointestinal Nursing, and trained as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at City, University of London.


I am deeply passionate about my profession and committed to creating a positive, compassionate experience for our residents and their families. In my role as Clinical Services Manager at Signature, I play a key part in upholding and enhancing the ethos of the home, while supporting and developing our team to deliver the very highest standards of care.

I started my career in health and social care as a Senior Carer and gradually progressed through roles including Team Leader, Care Practitioner, and Care Compliance Manager. These experiences have shaped my deep commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred residential and dementia care. I hold a Master's in Psychology and have recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational and Business Psychology from Kingston University. I am a Graduate member in the British Psychological Society (BPS) and currently doing my Level 5 in Leadership and Management to further strengthen my skills in leading care teams effectively.


I have been actively involved with the Care Workers’ Charity, particularly in exploring the application of AI in health and social care. As part of this, I have had the opportunity to speak as a delegate at various national events, including the Home Care Association Summit 2024. I am passionate about creating positive environments where residents feel valued and where teams are empowered to provide outstanding care every day.

I started my career in care after graduating from university in 2018, and I became a carer whilst figuring out what I wanted to do long term, but after a few weeks, I knew I wanted to progress my career in the care sector. Shortly after this, I became a Care and Training Practitioner, progressing to Care Coordinator and then became a Registered Branch Manager with the CQC in a span of 3 years in domiciliary care in Wimbledon. I absolutely loved making a difference to people’s lives every day in their homes, but I wanted to expand my knowledge and experience within the care home sector.
