The team at Coombe Hill are excellent. Really caring and supportive. They understood Mum's needs and provided a great environment for her to rest and recover. We cannot thank them enough. From the activities to the physio care, the excellent food, to the musicians that would come and entertain the residents, these all add towards their daily well-being and happiness. Also, got to thank the nurses and carers, who were tireless in their professionalism. Well done CHM for brilliant team and everything you've done for Mum and our family.
We really appreciate your kind words and positive feedback. This means a lot to everyone at Coombe Hill Manor.
Mum immediately felt safe and secure. The staff are delightful. The food is of a particularly high standard and Mum is at risk of putting on weight.
She has had a couple of minor ailments over the last few weeks and I have been impressed by how quickly they have been picked up by the nursing staff and the appropriate medical intervention made.
I can relax in the knowledge that Mum is in very capable hands.
Thank you so much for this heartfelt review. It is a pleasure to look after your mother, who is a wonderful lady. She has made great progress since her discharge from hospital and has integrated so well in the home.
My mother went to Coombe Hill Manor about seven years ago, after having a stroke at home. She, my brother and I chose it because it offered her space to be independent and receive visitors, together with the 24/7 on-call care she needed. What we didn't expect was the fantastic technology which allowed us to track her mood and activities when needed - comforting, as my brother and I visited only weekly and our sister lives in Australia. We knew that she would be challenging as she was an independent spirit, but we didn't expect that Coombe would also challenge her to do new things. The best example was a painting class and our mother's discovery, at the age of 88, that she could paint! In the last weeks of her life, it was so comforting to see her being treated with care and respect. Maybe we expected that, but once again, Coombe surprised us, when several of the staff/residents came to her funeral service. They had become her friends. Can't say better than that.
Thank you so much for this heartfelt review! It was a pleasure to have your mother at our home; she was a remarkable woman and is dearly missed by us all at Coombe Hill Manor.
I came to Coombe Hill Manor for short-stay respite care following my hip replacement operation - to get me back on my feet and totally rehabilitated. Due to the incredibly uplifting atmosphere, the wonderful, friendly and professional staff, the beautiful spacious rooms, the delicious food and fantastic gardens - I recovered from my operation very quickly. This care home is extremely well managed and the positive management philosophy filters down through all the staff, to create a welcome, supportive and caring environment.
It was an absolute pleasure having you stay with us and glad you found the overall experience to be a positive one. Rest assured your kind words will be shared amongst the team. Thank you for finding the time to write this 5-star review.
It will always hold a special memory of where our lovely dad spent his final days.
Thank you so much for your 5-star review and kind words. We loved having your father here and will deeply miss him.
I cannot speak highly enough of Coombe Hill. The staff on Auguste looked after my mother so lovingly and with such care. She had such a great quality of life in her three years at CHM. The activities were wonderful and beautifully matched to my mother's interests and hobbies. I would like to thank all of the staff who cared for her with such dedication right until the end of her life. CHM really did feel like home to her and to our family who you all supported too! Thank you.
Thank you so much for this heartfelt review, this means a lot to everyone here at Coombe Hill Manor.
Based on our experiences, I can confidently say that Coombe is exceptional in all the areas that matter most to residents and their families. The excellence begins with the staff, led by the manager, but everyone we interact with is incredibly kind, conscientious, and compassionate. The consistency of high standards attention to detail, and proactive engagement over the past 18 months gives me great reassurance that Mum is in safe hands.
Given her condition, there may be a rocky path ahead but I have peace of mind that she will be well cared for. I couldn't ask for anything more and am deeply grateful to the Coombe team for their dedication and commitment to providing outstanding care to its residents.
Thank you very much for such a heart warming review! It is a pleasure to care for your mother and we're glad to hear about the progress that she has made since being her. As always, please let us know if there's anything further we can do to assist.
Our father recently took up residence. We have been extremely happy with the level of care. The facilities are excellent and the staff are approachable and caring. The communication between the staff and the residents and their families is reassuring. We would not hesitate to recommend Coombe Hill Manor to other friends and family.
Thank you for submitting this review, your kind words and positive feedback means a lot to the team at Coombe Hill Manor.
The best place to be. I love it.
We really appreciate you finding the time to submit this 5 Star review. Rest assured your comments will be passed on to the team; this will mean a lot to them.
I like living here as it is very nice and the staff are very helpful.
Thank you for submitting this 5 star review. Your kind comments and feedback are really appreciated.
Coombe Hill is a wonderful, happy place. My Dad has been here for six months and the progress that he has made in that time, following a stroke, is remarkable. Mark made the whole process of moving my Dad in seamless and stress-free. He could not have been more helpful and compassionate. The activities and exercises classes on offer are wide-ranging to suit a variety of interests. There is also enough space to be as private as you wish. The daily menu offers a huge range of choices and the standard of food, which I have sampled many times, is excellent. The staff are warm, gentle and respectful with an excellent sense of humour. I feel my dad is in very good hands and I often tell him how spoilt he is (particularly on his birthday when everyone made such a fuss of him)! I have found the team very responsive to any queries or requests that I have, in person, by phone or by email.
Thank you so much for writing such a wonderful 5-star review, your positive comments and kind words are truly appreciated. This means a lot to the team and hopefully will assist others who are seeking a similar experience for their loved ones.
Signature Coombe Hill Manor proved to be the perfect place for Dad to recuperate after a hip fracture. Staff were incredibly helpful when we first enquired and were able to give us flexibility as we weren't sure exactly when he would be discharged from hospital. The care he received was fantastic and all staff treated him respectfully and kindly. The range of activities is excellent. He was really quite sad to be leaving. As visitors, we were always greeted by very welcoming staff. Communication, when he needed GP treatment, was very good.
Thank you so much for finding the time to write this five-star review, this is greatly appreciated. Your kind words and positive feedback will be shared amongst the team.
My mother was in Coombe Hill for some respite care. The staff were so kind, caring and compassionate, as well as always having a smile - the quality of care was outstanding from all of them. The facilities were extremely good, and always something going on for the residents while allowing them the freedom to join in or not. Friends and family are made to feel part of the community there.
Thank you so much for all your kind words and positive responses here resulting in this 5-star review. This means a lot to the dedicated team here at Coombe Hill Manor, who always strive to go that extra mile.
Sadly, Mum died on New Year's Eve very peacefully. We are grateful to you for a dignified last chapter in her life.
Thank you so much for finding the time to write this review; your kind words are truly appreciated. Our thoughts remain with you and the rest of the family - best wishes from everyone at Coombe Hill Manor.
My father was really well looked after in the two years he was at Coombe Hill Manor. The facilities are excellent, everything seems to run very smoothly, but most of all it is the staff who are truly outstanding. All the staff I met over the two years were so kind and compassionate. I am so grateful. Thank you.
Dear Faith, thank you very much for the lovely review. It was a pleasure to have your father at our home; he was a wonderful man and is dearly missed by us all at Coombe Hill Manor.
My mother was a resident for over five years. Everything about Coombe Hill Manor is excellent, from the facilities and surroundings to the food and activities. But what makes it really stand out is the wonderful staff. The final month of my mother's life involved palliative care, and she was able to return from the hospital to be looked after in familiar surroundings. The love and care that she was shown by everyone during those last four weeks was beyond magnificent, and it made it feel as though she was being looked after by her own family.
Thank you very much for your kind words. Your mother was a remarkable lady who made a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She will forever be remembered and deeply missed.
The staff have been absolutely fabulous, catering for my mother's every need and showing genuine care for her. Our family are really happy that she's being looked after so well by you all. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this positive review and kind words; this is truly appreciated by all at Coombe Hill Manor.
Excellent care, nursing, facilities and food. My friend was quite unwell when he arrived in March, but is now thriving. I have witnessed genuine care from the staff and they have always been helpful with my various requests. I enjoy visiting my friend as it feels like I'm on holiday!
It is such a pleasure to see how your friend has improved since he first came to live with us, it really has been a remarkable recovery. It is wonderful to hear that you feel as if you are on holiday when you visit Coombe!
The manager currently heads up a very impressive and professional team at Coombe Hill Manor who genuinely care about what they do. My mother feels very, very at home there. She has lived there now since this care home opened just over nine years ago.
Thank you so much for your comments, which I will share with our team as they will appreciate your thoughts. It is always good to know that our residents and their families are so at home in Coombe, as this means a great deal to us all.
I am still a relatively new resident. It took me a while to settle in and I can honestly say that some 8 weeks later I am beginning to feel at home. The carers and staff have helped so much with this process. I was encouraged to take part in the activities and despite early resistance, I am enjoying meeting fellow residents and there are activities to meet every need. Mostly there is freedom, no unnecessary rules, only friendships and help.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so pleased that you are settling in so well now and that you are enjoying the activities provided. I will share your thoughts with our staff who will be pleased to hear your thoughts.

Meet the Team (5)

As Client Liaison Manager, I am your first point of contact when you make an initial enquiry. I am committed to handling your enquiry with care and integrity, supporting you and any loved ones throughout the process, from initial viewing to move-in, and offering my full support, trust and guidance, as well as a listening ear. Having spent most of my career working within the banking and finance sector, my years working in social care have been very enlightening for me. I have learnt so much about elderly care and continue to learn something new each day. I have also had the honour of meeting some wonderful people and it has been a privilege to be part of their personal journey. I can truly say that this is the best job in the world, where each day brings a new challenge and experience.

Growing up in a family of three nurses, it felt only natural to follow in their footsteps. I qualified in South Africa after completing a four-year Integrated Nursing Course at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, becoming qualified in General Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatry and Community Healthcare. Wanting to deepen my knowledge, I went on to specialise for an additional year in Mental Health.
After travelling and working across Europe, including Switzerland, Greece and Israel, I settled in the UK and spent 15 years with one of Bupa’s largest nursing homes, progressing through roles including Nurse, Clinical Services Manager, Training Coordinator and Deputy Manager. During this time, I studied Dementia at Kingston University, gained my mentorship qualification at City University, and led the home to achieve Gold Standards Framework Beacon status for End of Life Care, the highest accolade in this field, which the home continues to hold.
I joined Signature at Coombe Hill Manor as Care Services Manager and was appointed General Manager in June 2016. I am deeply passionate about resident care and ensuring the highest standards are reached and maintained. Every person in our community has a voice, and we are here to support their choices, respect their dignity, and provide the care they need to begin a new chapter at Coombe Hill Manor. Together with a wonderful team, we focus on creating meaningful moments, always asking, what else can we do, and providing true peace of mind for families.

I have over 16 years of experience delivering advanced medical and surgical nursing across both the NHS and private sector. Throughout my career, I have held senior leadership roles including Director of Nursing, Clinical Director and Band 8a Senior Nurse, with extensive training in critical care and high dependency settings. I completed my pre and post-graduate studies at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery, King’s College London, including an MSc in Gastrointestinal Nursing, and trained as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at City, University of London.
I am deeply passionate about my profession and committed to creating a positive, compassionate experience for our residents and their families. In my role as Clinical Services Manager at Signature, I play a key part in upholding and enhancing the ethos of the home, while supporting and developing our team to deliver the very highest standards of care.

I started my career in care after graduating from university in 2018, and I became a carer whilst figuring out what I wanted to do long term, but after a few weeks, I knew I wanted to progress my career in the care sector. Shortly after this, I became a Care and Training Practitioner, progressing to Care Coordinator and then became a Registered Branch Manager with the CQC in a span of 3 years in domiciliary care in Wimbledon. I absolutely loved making a difference to people’s lives every day in their homes, but I wanted to expand my knowledge and experience within the care home sector. Since the moment I walked into Coombe Hill Manor, I was greeted by smiles and warmth from team members and our residents. Truly, the residents are at the heart of everything here, and the team really care about making Coombe Hill a lovely place to live.

I fell in love with hospitality when I first set foot behind a bar 20 years ago and felt compelled to pursue a career in the industry. I graduated from the University of Surrey in 2009 with a BSc in International Hospitality Management and spent the early years of my career working in hotels and events. Out of sheer curiosity, I joined Signature in 2012 to explore what hospitality could look like within the care sector, and I quickly felt I had found my calling. Blending five-star hotel service with such an exceptionally high standard of residential and nursing care has been an exciting and rewarding challenge for over 10 years now. The greatest reward in what I do is having the opportunity to make people feel special. To do this for the residents and team members within Signature Homes is a privilege that I hold very close to my heart.
