Signature at Coombe Hill Manor

Mum & Dad moved into Signature at Coombe Hill in June 2026 - an incredibly difficult time for them was made much easier with the support of the staff at Coombe Hill. From the receptionist, maintenance staff, restaurant staff and carers - everyone is kind and caring and look to make the best experience they can. Mum & Dad were able to bring their own furniture and pictures to make their apartment as homely as possible. I always feel welcome when I visit - the gardens are beautiful and I enjoy taking part in the activities when I'm there.

Putting someone you love into a care home can be one of life's hardest decisions. Whatever you feel, please don't take it out on the people caring for your relative. They're human too, doing a difficult job with compassion and dignity. From the moment you arrive at Coombe Hill Manor, it's clear this is somewhere special. The surroundings are beautiful, every detail feels thoughtfully considered, and the atmosphere is calm, welcoming and reassuring. Take time to talk with the staff. You'll find people with warmth, professionalism and genuine kindness who make residents and families feel valued. My mother is Finnish and has spent almost her whole life in the UK. Signature has taken the time to understand not only her care needs but her background and individuality. That personal approach has meant a great deal to us. My father fell and broke his hip and after being discharged from hospital we had to find somewhere for his rehabilitation. We came and had a look around and were struck by how nice and unlike a care home Signature at Combe Hill Manor was. Everything is Excellent, the care, food , facilities, activities and all the staff. We as a family have absolutely no complaints.

Having experiences urgent respite care in nursing home near my hospital, I was pleased to move in Signature where I am treated like a valued "guest"- nothing too much trouble and all the staff friendly and helpful. I feel safe here and valued. My family nearby can visit when ever and value my care and safety when they have to go abroad etc, I love it!

My mother required aftercare from having a full knee replacement. The professionalism and kindness of all the staff, assisted in her recovery.

The excellent food, 24/7 support and nursing care and the lovely environment she had made us all feel relieved that she was so well looked after.

Having her cocker poo being able to visit was an added bonus.

This was for a weeks period until she got more physically able. Physiotherapy was put in place to also assist her progress.

The care at Coombe Hill Manor is excellent. My mother's apartment is lovely and kept immaculately clean. The home is extremely well run and organised with the activities team organising many interesting and fun outings for the residents. The team on the front desk are welcoming and reassuring at all times. I have peace of mind knowing that my mum is in good hands.

We are very happy with where she is living and it is very convenient for three out of her four daughters. Thank you!

My mother had her birthday at Coombe Hill, she had a lunch for some of her extended family. The staff where brilliant making the whole event a great success. I am sure we overran on time but nothing was too much of a problem. Thanks again

Despite being 88 years old, I had never considered moving from my comfortable and conveniently located house to any kind of care home. Therefore I had no expectations when told the best option for my future comfort and safety would be to live in a care home. I have no family, so I relied on the advice of my close friends. They did a series of investigations into what was offered to residents, and thankfully decided that Signature at Coombe Hill Manor would be the best for me. I am constantly grateful that they made that decision. Apart from the professionalism of the staff, the main attraction for us residents is that the staff are always warm and smiling, and are constantly looking at how they can improve.

My mother has been living in Auguste (dementia community) at Coombe Hill for just over a year now, and I have only become more impressed and happy with her quality of life and care during that time. What strikes me in every interaction with carers and staff is just how well they know her: her quirks, what excites her, her preferences. She's treated and known as an individual, and despite the restrictions her dementia imposes on her ability to express herself, her personality is understood and taken into account in everything. My mother is genuinely happy at Coombe, and both tells and shows me that every time i visit.

The continuity of staff means she has the reassurance of ongoing relationships with carers, and that's also very comforting for me as a relative, knowing they are in a good position to notice any changes in her capacity, wellbeing or behaviour. And communication from staff is excellent: frictionless and super-efficient by email and phone, and always warm in person.

I knew nothing of the care home prior to being referred here by my GP on the grounds of my minor cognitive permanent and severe degeneration of the spine and I continue to ve very grateful to him.

The staff are, without exception, courteous, caring and very friendly. There are a great many activities every day. I would definitely recommend Coombe Hill Manor to anyone looking for a safe, friendly home for a relative.

To know my brother is in such a warm, friendly, stimulating and safe environment is very reassuring for his future and our peace of mind.

The care is simply exceptional here. The transition from living alone and independently to moving here has been managed beautifully. We could not have imagined how quickly this would feel like home. Every single member of the team has been simply charming and genuinely seem happy to be doing their roles and to help in any way. The range of activities has been a huge plus with trips and music being highlights.

All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful in caring for the residents. I feel absolutely comfortable knowing that my grandmother is in their capable hands and the range of activities they offer is one of a kind. I sincerely recommend signature care homes to anyone looking for a sociable, clean, homely place for their loved ones.

The only negative is that she doesn't have independent access to an outside space, although the garden is lovely and she can access any time providing she has someone to accompany her.

There are no words really. Thank you does not start to express my gratitude for my mother. Staff, especially some, are very special. Book yourself into rooms on the ground floor where all the 'action' and 'activity' is. The food is excellent, and above all else I felt mum was safe here, and well looked after. Reception are lovely and the connection with the local GPs and hospital is a Godsend. Yes, it is expensive, but I felt I would rather my mother benefit in her care in her golden years, rather than the government in their taxes and my mum needs that level of care in her situation. Staff are excellent. Facilities great. Car park perhaps needs to be larger.

Signature Coombe Hill Manor is an extremely welcoming and friendly place. My sister has settled in so well and the dignified care and attention she has received have had a huge impact on her health. I have felt particularly impressed with the professionalism of all staff and their caring attitude and their willingness to support any request.

My sister has dementia. She moved into Coombe Hill in May. I think what I appreciate most is the attitude of all the staff who are very caring and tolerant of her because I know she can be quite demanding. I am also impressed by the medical support she is getting from the GP and I get regular reports if she has any health problems. Sadly she is not willing to join in the activities provided by the home so I can't comment on that, but I believe she is being well looked after in a safe environment which is what I wanted.

I cannot recommend Coombe Hill Manor more highly. The staff are so kind, patient, and caring and always available to chat about any concerns we might have. They helped us so much with the actual move, keeping us fully updated on how she was settling. All her needs are met and she is treated with dignity and respect even when her behaviour is challenging. She is settling well and enjoying the many stimulating activities provided. My family and I could not be happier with our choice of home.
