I rang my sister-in-law most Saturdays or Sundays over the last two years she was with you.

She always said how happy she was. She found walking and her speech difficult towards the end of her life but you all helped her very much.

All the staff are very helpful and caring and we were particularly assisted by the Client Liaison Manager, who ensured my mother become familiar and comfortable with Roseberry Manor during a series of managed visits over a month or so.

The actual move-in went ahead seamlessly with all the carers in the Oaks introducing themselves and being friendly and attentive. Particular thanks go to the Dementia Manager, who ensures there is calm and dignity for the residents.

Whilst it is still early days for my mother I am relieved to have found her a new home where her individual needs are catered for she has the care and support she requires.

It's very expensive - we paid £1,748 a week. The care was good, as you would expect, and some staff members seemed genuinely attached to my father, even though he had advanced dementia.
Communication was poor. It was hard to find out how my father was on the phone. When the dementia manager left, nobody told us. I got the impression that the staff called me when they had to - e.g. when my father fell over - but not otherwise.
We asked the care home to arrange a Continuing Health Care evaluation for my father. They agreed to do so, but they did nothing and in the end, the Community Psychiatric Nurse arranged it.

The dementia manager who left was not replaced for quite a while, leaving a serious gap.

Rosebery Manor appreciates honest, timely feedback to continually improve and develop our service. Open and transparent communication is key for our service, and during a time of management change, this may have been lacking in parts, back in March, the date of this review. Mum has been in Rosebery Manor since it opened. It has had some staff and teething issues but on the whole, this is a lovely place for Mum to live in comfort and within a very caring environment. The personal helpers and medical teams are wonderful and are really take great care of Mum. The food is excellent and it is kept very clean.

We are very impressed with the care my mother has received whilst at Rosebery Manor over the past 2 years. All the staff are friendly, caring and show a lot of respect to all residents and their relatives. Following my mother's stroke, the staff have quickly and seamlessly adapted to her new and more intensive level of care and needs without even having to ask. The Dementia unit is very efficiently run by the Dementia Manager who maintains very high standards whilst treating all residents as individuals.

My Dad was one of the first residents when Rosebery Manor opened and we have seen it grow and develop a strong community feel. He has a neurodegenerative illness which means he can no longer live alone safely, but making the decision to move was difficult as he is relatively young to be in a care home. The attention to detail has made the transition much easier - his room is spacious and feels like a mini-flat where he is happy to have visitors and the communal areas are luxurious and well kept. It was important to Dad to keep busy and the daily activities and trips are thoughtful and varied. All areas (activities, catering, maintenance, caring and support staff) are responsive to requests and suggestions from residents. The staff take the time to get to know those in their care and their families and genuinely want to make life as happy and fulfilling as possible. Anyone who visits tends to comment that Rosebery Manor is a pleasant surprise and exceeds their expectations of a care home.

Very good. Excellent surroundings, calm, peaceful, rooms superb with good walk in en-suite bathroom/showers. Staff could not be more courteous and willing to please from reception, restaurants, room cleaners to managers. Nursing staff are very able and good at times of crisis. Food very good and restaurant surroundings excellent - good linen and their cooked meals are beautifully served with wine if desired.

My father first became a resident approximately 12 months ago before recently transferring, under guidance of the medical/care team, to the dementia ward. Although initially some reluctance on the part of the family to make the move it has proven to be absolutely the right thing. Dad receives first rate care and attention, we really couldn't speak highly enough for the attention paid to him not only by the care team but the entire staff.

My friend went into the home in March with Alzheimer's, she was becoming very difficult to deal with and had become unclean. The staff at the home deal with her very well and although she is very difficult and uncooperative, are very understanding with her.

We are very pleased with her care, the food is excellent and her room is cosy and clean. She has also put on weight and is much fitter than she has been at home. We are paying high fees but feel it is worth it.

My mother moved in in February after spending time in hospital. She has settled in very well. The care staff are extremely kind and are well trained in dealing with dementia. The care staff are efficient but also have the homely tough and I feel they know my mother's likes and dislikes. I am always welcome. There is a lot going on to partake in if wanted. My mother seems happy.
