Took a while to settle in but then seemed much happier, especially with the care and attention the staff continually gave. The staff were always available and visibly present even when residents were relaxing in the lounge. The food was really good for my wife and I was looked after very well also.
As my wife became very ill and towards the end of life the staff were so caring and compassionate. My life was never alone even when she couldn't communicate with us - this was very important to her.

My gran was a resident at Aaron Court for over 15 months until she passed away in August. From the day she arrived, everyone was so welcoming. Her room was lovely and clean at all times and all food tastes are catered for. The team tried and get everyone involved with activities and always had a smile
on their faces and nothing ever seemed too much. The care she received from all staff was outstanding. I cannot thank them enough as it meant we had peace of mind that she was definitely in the best place for her needs which as family members know, is such a hard decision to make.
Even the day she passed away, everyone was so caring and gave us the time we needed with her. Thank you all for everything

I would like to publicly say how amazing this place is, Mum spent sixteen months here before she sadly passed away in August. During this time, Mum received a high standard of care and made many new friends in the shape of those who cared for her.
Four members of staff, in particular, were amazing
and nothing was ever too much trouble, outstanding human beings, I could name many more.
I would also like to thank one of the nurses, on the day Mum passed away she never left our side and gave us the maximum support she could offer.
Everyone in this care home has a high standard of humanity and caring, it’s not a job but a vocation.
Although I won’t be visiting anymore, keep up the good work team and thank you, each and every one of you, for everything you did.

Mum continues to be well looked after in Aaron Court and I would have no hesitation in recommending to others this care home.
From what I’ve seen and heard all of the recreational activities for residents are well planned and provide lots of fun to all those joining in.
I’m really enjoying going
to the relative's meetings. The discussions at the last one (July ’23) were extremely interesting and it was nice to meet the families of other residents. It was good to hear about the daily floor inspections that the care home manager undertakes and also the explanation of how information from daily reports is useful when reviewing residents’ well-being.
A big thank you to all the staff, you’re all fantastic!

My husband has been at Aaron Court for a long time now. I read the new display outside which said it had a good review, to my mind it should have read excellent, in every way. I visit my husband every day (sometimes twice). I see all the care and kindness he receives in all they do. The care and cleanliness
is amazing, as is the food. People say about things like, it's alright, but there is no but from me. I love all that everyone does for my husband and know he's in the best hands ever. God bless you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dad was transferred to Aaron Court from the hospital, so we hadn't even seen the place but we couldn't have found a nicer clean place, where Dad was so well looked after by such lovely staff and management. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

My 93 year old mum has many care needs including dementia and has lived at Aaron Court for around seven years. Her room is large and homely and full of the things she loves. From the moment you walk through the door, you are made to feel welcome and the manager is helpful, understanding and is always
available to discuss any problem that may arise and more importantly do something to sort it out. The permanent care staff are so hard working in what is an extremely challenging job, showing care and compassion with the utmost devotion and I have become friends with many of them over the years. The communal areas are clean and welcoming and the food on a daily basis is amazing, especially at the numerous celebrations throughout the year when the home is decorated, entertainment brought in and delicious food laid on. I would like to thank all the staff at Aaron Court for their hard work and dedication.

My father came into this home on assessment to see what level of care he would need to be able to go home. After a shaky start and it being a bank holiday there didn't seem to have enough staff but the nurses were all brilliant. It soon became apparent that my dad wasn't able come to home, he was end-of-life
care. Again the nurses and staff were brilliant. My only complaint was it was very noisy from the other patients and it was quite stressful and upsetting for my dad to have to witness this in his final days when he should have been able to have quietness in his last days. I did try to get him moved to a hospice or a different home as it was distressing for him and us as a family to have to listen to the noise at all hours of the night. So we couldn't sleep and my dad was really distressed hearing it. By the time we nearly got him moved, it was too late as he was starting to deteriorate but even then when the noise started again it would wake him up. It's such a shame he had to endure that.

I cannot thank the management and staff enough for the care and attention given to my husband and myself. The variety of food supplied is varied and exceptional. Nothing was too much for anybody and everybody was pleasant and enjoyed a laugh. Very good atmosphere all around.

In my experience, the staff are professional, always kind and very attentive to the constantly changing needs of my mum. The warmth they show her and all the

My mum came into your care January 2023. I myself living in Australia was very apprehensive as my mum until six months ago was very independent, 88 years old. After being so ill and having to be placed into care, this was very concerning for me. I have only been given positive feedback since her arrival.
This was shown on 14th/15th April 2023 when Mum became very ill again. I myself flew in on the 16th and saw for myself the care. Thank you.

Care for patients with dementia is extremely poor. They are all housed in one corridor on the second floor. Mostly kept in their rooms with TVs on and doors open! No carer in the common room whenever I visited. My brother lost 5kg in weight in the 2 weeks he was resident there. Is now in the hospital
as inadequate care allowed him to injure himself. No daytime activities on show either. Very posh rooms and electronic floor mats do not make for adequate care. Would not recommend ever.

I have no words to describe my gratitude to Aaron Court nurses and staff. You have the most caring, loving and compassionate staff who looked after my ill father, who was there from December 2022 until February 2023. You looked after him, and I'm so grateful for your care. If God sent Angels on earth,

My husband was admitted to Aaron Court for end-of-life care. Everything was done for him that could be done at this stage. He died peacefully with dignity. We were both cared for at the end. He could not have been better cared for. I am very grateful to all at Aaron Court.

Overall my wife's care is of a good standard. Whenever I have had issues they have been dealt with speedily and efficiently depending on the staff's availability. The staff are doing a difficult job extremely well.

Though it was difficult at first for all when my mum arrived, over time we all got used to all the staff, after some teething problems. A year or so on, I can see and say what changes have happened and how well and loved my mum is. Everyone has been an ear to listen, help and give advice to my family
and I am truly grateful. Thank you to all and keep up the good work.

Lorraine has over 28 years of working in the care sector. She is an experienced manager but has also worked for the Local Authority as a Quality Improvement Officer.


She has worked with care services to drive up standards of care and assist providers to achieve compliance.
During her career, she has attended Dementia conferences and developed specialist services for those with dementia.


Lorraine is passionate about moving and handling and resident comfort and is a qualified trainer in this area.


Lorraine is committed and driven to achieving the best outcomes possible and this is achieved through investment in the staff team.
