Overall Experience

Care for patients with dementia is extremely poor. They are all housed in one corridor on the second floor. Mostly kept in their rooms with TVs on and doors open! No carer in the common room whenever I visited. My brother lost 5kg in weight in the 2 weeks he was resident there. Is now in the hospital as inadequate care allowed him to injure himself. No daytime activities on show either. Very posh rooms and electronic floor mats do not make for adequate care. Would not recommend ever.

Very pleased with the overall care, cleanliness, compassion, friendliness and how my father-in-law was treated generally. He had a lovely room and his family were encouraged to make it homely. Just wanted to say thank you.

I have no words to describe my gratitude to Aaron Court nurses and staff. You have the most caring, loving and compassionate staff who looked after my ill father, who was there from December 2022 until February 2023. You looked after him, and I'm so grateful for your care. If God sent Angels on earth, then it's you all the nurses and staff, who look after people in care. I highly recommend Aaron Court to anyone. Thank you all, and God Bless you all. A big thank you to the manager for his assistance with the paperwork. God Bless.

My husband was admitted to Aaron Court for end-of-life care. Everything was done for him that could be done at this stage. He died peacefully with dignity. We were both cared for at the end. He could not have been better cared for. I am very grateful to all at Aaron Court.

Our mum was only in Aaron Court Care Home for three days, she was end-of-life. Would like to say a massive thank you to the staff, manager, cleaners and nursing staff, a big thank you to two members of staff in particular. What an amazing place, keep up the good work. Brilliant.

Though it was difficult at first for all when my mum arrived, over time we all got used to all the staff, after some teething problems. A year or so on, I can see and say what changes have happened and how well and loved my mum is. Everyone has been an ear to listen, help and give advice to my family and I am truly grateful. Thank you to all and keep up the good work.

After moving my brother-in-law from his previous care home I felt really happy for him. Since he has been there the communication with family has been very good. The staff are really nice, all greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. Visting is also very flexible. He's settled in really well. Hopefully, he can also feel the warmth and compassion the staff show him. I'm sure he can.

It is almost a year since my wife has been a resident at Aaron Court. I would not say it has been easy, and I have had my moments, but on reflection now, I would say I now appreciate the dedication of the staff and especially the manager, she is understanding and gives her time to listen to what is being said and reassures me, it is a traumatic experience to see your loved one disappear in front of your eyes, the manager at Aaron Court has the capacity to reassure me. If nothing else from this review then please make sure my thanks are passed on to her and her staff, it is not an easy job to do. As for my wife she is settled now and appears to be happy, she has her off days but then who doesn’t, I am happy that my wife is at Aaron Court, I don’t believe she would get better care anywhere else.

We would just like to say thank you for the nursing care our Dad received. Dad was only with you for just over 4 weeks before he passed peacefully away. The kindness you have shown him and us will always be remembered. Wonderful caring friendly staff that treated Dad with the dignity he so deserved at the end of his life.

My wife has been a resident at Aaron Court since April 2018. My daughter-in-law and I visited Aaron Court and immediately it felt the best place for my lovely wife who has Alzheimer's. Not only do the management and staff take wonderful care of my wife, I know they are there for me whenever I need help. I couldn't wish for any more.

We would like to send a big thank you to the manager and all her staff at Aaron Court. Just before the Covid 19 virus took hold in the UK, my father was admitted to hospital. After a few weeks of recovery, his existing care home, completely abandoned him, not willing to take him back at this very vulnerable time. Our dad was now stuck in a hospital that was fighting Covid 19, with nowhere to go. As a family, we spent a very frightening and anxious few weeks.
Luckily Aaron Court said they would take him. From day one, Aaron Court showed kindness and compassion, always there to answer our questions and solve the problems that arose from our dad being rejected by his original care home. The staff always came across calm and reassuring, they quickly established the Face Time calls that were a godsend, especially as we had not had any direct contact with our dad in five weeks. His overall health quickly improved and they kept him safe.

Thanks again and take care.

My husband had Dementia and was a resident for six months. Management and Staff do an amazing job caring for residents, especially those with dementia, not an easy task as I well know. Everyone was caring, friendly and helpful as well as being professional, they not only looked after his needs but those of myself and daughter too. I can’t thank Management and Staff enough for their care and compassion when my husband fell ill, in his last days he had the best care you could wish for, making a difficult journey for him and us bearable. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were sensitive to his needs and the nurses were wonderful, knowledgeable, caring, kind, helpful and thoughtful. I feel he was in the best place he could have been and was treated with dignity and compassion during his stay. His room was lovely and there were lots of space so he could wander around. There are three separate lounges to sit in, a large dining room and a nice kitchen area for making drinks. A very nice care home and well managed.

Two years ago, we visited a dozen care homes with nursing before choosing Aaron Court, which was superior in many ways.
We have always been warmly welcomed by staff, who are more than happy to support any worries or concerns. We are encouraged to help ourselves to drinks and join in with meals.
My mum was confused at first by communal living but is now, thanks to the kindness of the great care staff, contented and thriving. She is actually, in better shape mobility-wise than when she arrived. The nurses have all been wonderful and keen to manage her many health problems with compassion and expertise. They are always happy to answer questions.
At first, Mum refused to take part in the activities but now settled has enjoyed various trips out for afternoon tea and meals thanks to the lovely ladies responsible. She also enjoys her regular visits to the hair salon.
There is a helpful handyman and a good laundry service.

The manager is excellent and responds immediately with kindness.

We have nothing but admiration for all that the staff do at Aaron Court. The nursing and care staff looked after mum with dedication, skill and kindness and all the staff took great care to find out her specific wants and needs. The management were approachable and caring, as well as being efficient and businesslike. They always found time for us, the family, as well as having a real relationship with mum. The home has great facilities and is modern and always clean. My only regret is that mum was already very ill when she moved in and unable to enjoy the facilities to the full. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff who treated mum with dignity and respect and showed such compassion to us, her family. It was a great comfort to us to know that she was being so supported and well cared for in her final months.

My mum has been in Aaron Court now for 3 and a half years. The staff are very caring and always treat my mum with kindness. The home is very nicely decorated and kept clean at all times. The outside area is quite limited but would be much improved by providing new tables, chairs and sun umbrellas for the summer months.

Overall, I am very happy with Aaron Court Care Home and feel Mum is well looked after there.
