Generally quite satisfied with the care given but too many carers do not converse with residents.
Often when they are not busy they just sit and chat with each other instead of chatting to residents (especially at weekends)
Outside areas very neglected.

This home is generally good overall but the carers do not spend enough one to one time with the residents. The food has gone very downhill with the latest chef and is not the sort of food that the residents want. The outside areas of the home are very neglected.

Aaron Court facilities are great, the common areas and bedrooms are all purpose built and designed, everywhere was clean and well maintained.


Staff appeared friendly and helpful.


However, we had real problems with my mum's care plan, records were not kept properly nor were they monitored, meaning

health issues were not picked up. My mum became ill and had to leave the home. I have formally complained to the home but in nearly two months have failed to receive any acknowledgement, which is a real disappointment.

They are always understaffed most of the time. The care team seem frustrated by management as they are not listened to.
I myself have phoned and emailed the GM with no reply.
I even had an appointment with the GM then I was told she had been called away to head office and was so sorry.
Her car was
in the car park!
Poorly lead I’m afraid.

On the whole, this care home provides a good service despite on many occasions it seems to be very understaffed and it is often difficult to find a carer.
I feel they are making great efforts to improve their weaknesses. It is a shame agency nurses still have to be used, although on the whole, they
are efficient.
The two "permanent" nurses (bank nurses) are excellent. Management staff seem to change quite regularly often making it difficult to address a problem to the right person.

On the date July 2018 whilst visiting my brother-in-law it was so pleasing to observe wonderful interaction, care and respect from all the staff on the 1st floor during the time I was there. (11.45 to 1pm)

Not enough care staff on shift at pertinent times of the day; mornings, lunch, after tea. Need lunchtime staff to either serve or feed. Residents left wet and uncomfortable.
Those staff that care give a diligent service but let down by those lacking and when so few are on. Delays.

My father will not be going again, I complained about poor care to staff and the manager. My father was not cared for properly, he was left just lying on his bed in just a pad with the door open for everyone to see, two staff on, they were showering someone, so no one to look after the other 12, 5 different
managers in 6 months. The manager promised to ring me about concerns I had but never did. The place is really disorganised, from management down to staff, short staff as staff not turning up for work. My dad was so upset the whole time he was in there and couldn’t wait to come home.

5 managers and 1 area manager in 7 months tells me there are problems in this care home, the service is not up to a very good standard and none of the management seem to be able to handle the situation, this is such a shame as the building itself is of a very good standard. It's now gone to a point
of having to move my mum to another home and we are now being given the cold shoulder, I hope that they can find a manager who is able put this home in good order one day.

We are very sorry that the reviewer was dissatisfied with the standard of care provided for his mother during her stay at Aaron Court and that we were unable to resolve the issues to his satisfaction. There have in fact been two changes of home manager in the last 7 months, sadly one manager had to leave due to health issues and the initial replacement manager did not work out as we had hoped. There is now a new experienced home manager in post being supported by the senior management team. The area manager had actually worked for the company for six years and has recently left the Company to take up a new opportunity.

I found Aaron Court an extremely pleasant place to be in. Everywhere was always clean and tidy and the staff were always helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I watched them with the residents and they were always kind and gentle with them which is very reassuring when your loved ones are
in a home.


I would recommend the home and hope I can bring my partner back if I need respite in the future.

My dad has been at Aaron Court since February 2017. I was very impressed during my initial visit and I have not been disappointed since.
My dad, who has dementia and is on the first floor, has always been treated with dignity and respect. He likes to walk around and quickly thought this was his home;
he is able to maintain a degree of independence within the safe environment.
He has a lovely bedroom with en suite shower room. The whole place has a real family feel which is what someone with dementia needs.
The carers are excellent, they work so hard and genuinely care for the residents, nothing is too much trouble. My dad said to me this week, 'Those girls in green are the best.'
When I go to visit the staff are so friendly. There are activities organised on a regular basis if the residents want to participate and meals are excellent with drinks and snacks available.
Aaron Court is clean and very welcoming I am so pleased I found it for my dad.

Just to say that the improvement in the home recently has been exemplary. Everywhere is cleaner, the atmosphere of the home is happier, staff are more professional and happier and there are more activities for the residents. Just a much nicer place to be where they are so much more welcoming.

The home is an excellent home, the regular staff are amazing occasionally new ones are a bit slow until they get into the routines. The longer my mum is at the home the more we realise how hard work she is. The staff/carers are amazing and the office staff are always prompt and due diligence in keeping
the family up to date with her progress.

My Dad sadly passed away this morning, but I just needed to say the following:
Dad has been in Aaron Court since the end of May. He had various health issues and was 90 years old. However, the care he has received has been excellent. He was treated with dignity and shown genuine care by all the staff.
Dad so enjoyed being able to interact with both residents and staff. He loved being able to sit outside and found a new love for painting.
The bedrooms are really lovely and Dad enjoyed the food. The staff treat the residents with dignity and respect at all times.
I can only say an enormous thank you to Aaron Court. I would highly recommend you to anyone.

My dad has just spent 11 horrendous weeks in hospital. Unfortunately, he has lost the ability to walk and is incontinent, so is unable to come home at this point. Dad has been welcomed into the home and is treated with dignity and respect by the carers, who work extremely hard. However, I don't feel
that there are enough carers. Sometimes Dad's personal care is not as good as I would expect eg shaving, needing a clean jumper. He needs help with these things.
That said, Dad has settled really well. He has enjoyed painting, poetry and keep fit. He's been out for lunch and for a ride on a steam train. I am impressed by the activities that are organised; important when Dad is still very mentally active. He's been following the football in the cinema room! I think the facilities are excellent: cinema room, bar, hairdresser, lounges, dining room. The bedrooms are lovely and Dad is very happy with the food.
We are extremely grateful that a carer was able to accompany Dad to Mum's funeral.

My mother was a resident in Aaron Court in Leicester from September 2015 until January 2016 when she sadly passed away. During that time her care at the home was excellent, especially as being bed bound and doubly incontinent. Her needs were complex, the staff were friendly and respectful at all times
and the room was clean and well equipped.

The home was excellent. Clean, brifgt with excellent facilities in each room, lounge and dining rooms. The food was very good. The staff were warm, friendly, attentive and helpful. Dad was very poorly so didn't get to utilise the facilities but he was encouraged by the staff to eat and drink.
