Excellent care home. Have been to a few and this is the best for staff care. Handling of the recent Covid crisis has been good. Well communicated. If I need a care home in the future this will be my first choice.

Mum cared for how I would wish to be cared for. Person-centred, individual care. During the lockdown, I have know my mum to be in safe hands and loved by the care staff. As usual, she is happy and smiley, well-nourished and always clean and tidy. Looking forward to visiting more often. Thank you, Belong
- would not wish my mum to be anywhere else.
Reply from Claire Bibby, General Manager at Belong WarringtonThank you for your extremely kind words. The village at Belong Warrington appreciate the trust you place in us as a team. We make every effort to meet the needs of our wonderful residents. It is a privilege to care for each and every one of them. I will pass on your sentiments to the whole team.

The frontline staff set this care home apart. They genuinely care for the residents and this has been especially important during this coronavirus pandemic when we relatives have been unable to visit in person. I always feel that to them this is much more than just a job - it truly is a vocation. My
continuing concern is about the increasing fees which have nearly doubled in the four years my mother has been a resident.
Reply from Claire Bibby, General Manager at Belong WarringtonThank you for your review and recognition of the incredible dedication of our frontline teams. It means a great deal to everyone at Belong Warrington that this is valued and we will pass on your feedback. We appreciate that 24-hour support is expensive and the annual inflation primarily reflects the impact of salary increases over recent years as we have moved to remunerate our teams at or above the Real Living Wage. Over the past four years, the average annual increase for 24-hour care was 5.2% and this year's increase was around 3%. As a not-for-profit organisation, we do everything possible to keep increases to a minimum, while staying in line with cost inflation to ensure the long term viability of our village model, which is key to maintaining high-quality services and support.

During December 2020 my mother was placed on the end of life care. During this time my sister and I visited every day we witnessed first hand the love and care given to my mother by all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they also looked after us too. Thankfully mum has recovered somewhat thanks
to the love, support and dedication of all the staff. We cannot thank them enough.

This month I have been able to visit my mother, the first time since Christmas due to lockdown. My welcome pack to Belong Warrington has been exceptional and most welcoming. The initial testing is very efficient and done by friendly staff. I always receive a great welcome from reception staff too. My
mother appears happy and content and there is always a member of the household to speak to for an update. I am very happy with her care here at Belong.

I moved my mum from another home because she needed additional care, it is the best decision I have ever made. Before the move I was concerned about a new environment and the confusion and upset for Mum, I shouldn't have worried she has settled very quickly, is exceptionally well looked after and very
happy. So pleases with the decision to move her.

2020 has been the most challenging year for millions of us. Mum came to Belong in June 2020 after a series of quite substantial falls, it's the hardest decision a child can ever make from beginning to end the manager and her team have been incredible, human, relatable, flexible, advisory and caring
an invisible hand gripping mine and my sisters as we struggled to cope with the situation mum is settled adores her care team, loves her safe space in her room and is incredibly well looked after and supported. Thank you so much.

I was in Belong Warrington after a hip replacement. The armchair was too low so a handyman put risers on. He was not happy with them and told me to be careful. I am not fat, very light, so I sat on the chair to have my dinner. Three risers collapsed and I was flung sidewards. Luckily I didn't break
my other hip. I asked for the chair to be removed and it took 3 days for a carer to drag it out. Then I put my desk chair in place, much softer. The support manager or manager did not have the decency to apologise and the support manager promised to order my newspaper. It was not done, she forgot so a complete airhead. The food was terrible, cheap, nasty, high-fat food. Cream cakes, doughnuts etc. Fruit once and the jelly was so thick. Lots of pork, potatoes not cooked. The frittata had thick pastry with little egg on it. The young staff were wonderful, very caring and overworked. They were the highlight of my stay.
Reply from Claire Bibby, General Manager at Belong WarringtonThank you for providing your feedback, though we are extremely sorry to hear of your concerns. Having looked at a number of homes in the area last year, when Mum needed full-time care after a long hospital stay, we were delighted when she was offered a place. From the outset, we were impressed with the way we and Mum were treated. Although Mum's stay was relatively short, she was well looked
after and she enjoyed her time as is evident from all the photos we received over the gateway. We were impressed in the last few weeks, during the lockdown, by the standard of love and care she received from all the staff.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.919)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.919) out of 10 for Belong Warrington is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.919 for Belong Warrington is calculated as follows: ( (415 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 446 Ratings = 4.919
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Belong Warrington is based on 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 73 registered maximum number of service users is 14.6, which has been reached with 38 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
