More than anything, the staff in Woodlands are fantastic. They are extremely kind and caring in every aspect and role, Woodlands is a happy 'home', the entertainment and activities team do everything to stimulate and encourage residents to join in. The staff are very caring. Always well received, cups of tea and I think that I'm well informed about the care my husband received.
He often falls and I telephone and it's up to me if I want to go and visit.

Woodland Grove never ceases to amaze me. Mum has been here nearly 2 years now. The care she receives is second to none. Despite having some stays in the hospital, Mum cannot wait to get 'home'. The celebration of the 10-year anniversary was a wonderful event. So much thought is put into all of the events
and every resident is made to feel extra special, even more so on their birthday. I wouldn't want Mum to be anywhere else. Each and every one of you is a superstar.

Extremely warm and welcoming environment. Staff very attentive and polite. All hospitality second to none. Plenty of food and drink. My dad is so so happy. After recently losing my mum he found it very hard. This has given him a new lease of life. He was sitting at the front enjoying the 2 singers.
They were excellent. Very professional.

I just wanted to thank you all at Woodland Grove for your years of dedicated care looking after my auntie and how much of a comfort it was to know she was in such good care. The fact that staff came to visit her in hospital in her final days and also attended the funeral was further proof, if it were
needed, of the love that she was shown throughout her nearly 8 years at the home. Not to mention a phone call just a week ago from the lovely staff to check on me which was quite special.

Woodland Grove provides a very caring resident-central approach. The excellent staff take time to get to know the residents and then tailor their approach accordingly. I feel my father is being very well looked after and he is content and relaxed. The food is home-cooked with a decent variety of options.
The activities are plentiful. All in all, I am very happy we selected Woodland Grove.

My father was in this care home for 18 months, they were excellent. Lovely people, they look after every need. They convinced him to do activities. When not well they made sure he was well looked after.

The staff were lovely and did an amazing job preparing one of the rooms for a family birthday gathering. It was beautifully decorated and the food that was catered was lovely as well. I’m glad that my nan is getting the care that she needs and deserves.

My 94-year-old mother has been a resident in Woodland Grove for 20 months now and I'm thankful every day that she is here. She has been loved and cared for with such professionalism warmth and dedication. Unfortunately, Mum's health deteriorated and has had to spend two weeks in hospital. She's just
returned with a new set of health and care needs and I was blown away by the swift response initiated by one of the senior nurses and the whole care team.
Thank you to all the warm caring people around my mother. Thank you carers, nurses, lovely housekeeping ladies, amazing receptionists, amazing activity ladies, and management. Thank you Woodland Grove for setting the bar high.

My father has been at Woodland Grove since December 2022.
He has settled really well. We are very happy with all the staff, especially the lifestyle team, which we really enjoy taking Dad downstairs to the bistro for all the activities. He loves music and enjoys watching all that goes on.

we couldn’t ask for a nicer, homely care home.

My husband had a short stay at Woodlands Grove between his discharge from hospital and his death. He was treated with great care and kindness and I was given great support by the staff during this time and treated with sincere sympathy and compassion when he died.

My mother has been a resident of Woodland Care Home since April 2021. Yesterday she celebrated her 80th birthday. As she isn't comfortable dining in restaurants anymore and my home isn't designed for parties - we took her party celebrations to her! Woodland provided us with the use of their Snug Room,
which can accommodate up to 20 guests, for the afternoon. So her family and close friends were able to visit and have an intimate birthday party in the comfort of her own home! - the staff were fabulous and assisted with decorating the room with balloons and a Happy Birthday banner, they provided champagne flutes, crockery and tea and coffee making and we just rocked up with bottles of Prosecco, a music playlist and Marks and Spencers party food! We thank the staff, and all involved and are very grateful for all they do to make a wonderful memory for us all. Special thanks to the Chef in catering for making the delicious birthday cake too! we all had a lot of fun mum really enjoyed her day.

A very expensive care home where I had suffered from cataracts, blind and an uncomfortable urine bag that required changing at regular times.
There were no balanced meals at all, whilst others were given 3-course meals for lunch, I was not given proper meals and sometimes, no food at all!
Hot meals
are served for lunchtime and stale moulded sandwiches for dinner! There was a kitchen opened after dinner!
Considering this very expensive care home, one would expect basic essentials every day. Short staff of nurses and carers, during the nights so my needs were not fulfilled thus, I was depressed and lonely! Often collapsed due to lack of food and fluids. Restless nights due to other residents shouting and swearing with the buzzers bleeping for more than 40 minutes. Stained carpets not cleaned for days. Small uncomfortable beds, fell off more than seven times evoking more arthritic pains and distress. Irritating old worn-out bed sheets! My new soft blanket was taken. New meds were not given.

My impressions and opinions on Woodland Grove have been nothing but positive since my mother became a resident three months ago and, indeed, even prior to that. My family and I have previous experience with several residential care homes, I can say, quite honestly and categorically, that none of these
bear comparison to Woodland Grove in every aspect of care, be it compassion, patience, accommodating facilities, hygiene, entertainment and the level of professionalism and devotion to its vulnerable residents.

My father-in-law came to the home (nursing floor) back in February. At the time he was in a lot of pain, and not really eating well or coping at home (which was about 30-40 min from us).
Since arriving, he has thrived, the food, company and care have left him looking better than he has in years. It's
a pleasure to go and see him and join him for a coffee in the bistro, and in the summer to sit in the gardens.
Please do thank all the staff, it's a huge weight off our minds to know he is so well cared for and more importantly happy.

All the staff I have come into contact with are very caring and do their very best for my mum. I feel happy leaving her at Woodland Grove where I know she will be well looked after, she is safe and there are plenty of activities/people around to try to keep her as stimulated as possible. It is always
possible to speak to senior staff if necessary. I find the fairly new IT system that is in place very useful to keep in touch with how my mum is on a day to day basis and if I ever have any concerns/queries these are always addressed satisfactorily with senior staff.

In the short time that my mother has been a resident at Woodland Grove, my expectations have been met completely and then some!
This is a care home with the emphasis on care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and all members of staff from the admin team down to the support staff all approach their

I am a qualified Biomedical Scientist and specialised in Blood Transfusion. I worked for the NHS before I decided to join the Health and Social Care sector in 2012. My first role was at a small residential care setting for the elderly. I joined as a Deputy Manager and progressed to a Registered Manager role. Since then, I have been in various management roles within the sector.


I joined Oakland Care in 2020 as a Unit Manager. I then progressed to the Head of Memory and Residential Care Role before moving into the Deputy Manager Role and now General Manager. I have a passion for providing exceptional care and developing a team that goes over and beyond in the care they provide.

I have an academic background in Literature and Journalism. However, driven by the desire to be part of a meaningful change, in 2019, I decided to transition into the Social and Healthcare sector. I work closely with the marketing department and our lifestyles teams to ensure our services are promoted to reflect the excellent care and support we provide. The residents are our extended family who we love to nurture and share daily life with whilst keeping them safe and well. I’m always delighted to meet new families and support their journey.

Before starting at Woodland Grove, my previous role was event coordinator in a museum and I have always worked in a creative industry. I helped to create big events such as private view and private parties.


I have a passion for creating creative and inclusive opportunities for diverse groups and making them explore different art and crafts.

I really enjoy also sports activities like keep fit and name the tune where we explore different music and create a great atmosphere.
