I would describe Woodland Grove as a 5-star hotel with care. My mother has been there for over three years now and is very well looked after. There are many activities every day that she is happy to join in with and has been taken out on many trips. She has her hair done every week and access to newspapers and magazines daily. I am so glad we chose this wonderful place to look after our lovely mum. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and we are regularly kept informed of all the news regarding the home.
Your experience is very important to us. Providing the residents with enhanced care provides a wonderful atmosphere.
My Mum tells me she likes living there and feels safe, that is paramount.
Thank you for your review and for confirming we are meeting the need of what is important.
Very enjoyable home to visit, and lovely to see my cousin.
Thank you for your review following your visit, we appreciate your feedback.
I brought Mum and another friend to see their 'other' friend, they have known each other 'forever'. We are so impressed with Woodland Grove, the lady on reception greeted us with a lovely smile and has been so very helpful - bringing Mum's friend to sit with us - all the staff are happy and smiling and the home has a warm feel to it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit, everyone is always welcome. Your feedback is much appreciated.
Woodland Grove has very high standards and goals and does an excellent job of accomplishing them.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time.
It's a pleasure to come into an airy, bright and cheerful place.
Thank you for your review. Your observations are much appreciated, and we are delighted you enjoyed your visits.
The care and support that Mum receives is second to none; she is very well looked after. The carers help her all the time with bathing and dressing and are always checking on her to make certain she is okay. The activities they have as well keep her well-occupied. She especially enjoys the singers that come to the home and loves singing along.
Thank you for your review; it is much appreciated. Mum very much enjoys all activities and joins in giving everything a go.
More than anything, the staff in Woodlands are fantastic. They are extremely kind and caring in every aspect and role, Woodlands is a happy 'home', the entertainment and activities team do everything to stimulate and encourage residents to join in. What a wonderful care home Woodlands is. Our family is very grateful.
We appreciate you taking the time to review. Having the family fully involved is wonderful.
He often falls and I telephone and it's up to me if I want to go and visit.
Thank you for your review, much appreciated. Working closely with the family and continuing to support with choice is important.
Woodland Grove never ceases to amaze me. Mum has been here nearly 2 years now. The care she receives is second to none. Despite having some stays in the hospital, Mum cannot wait to get 'home'. The celebration of the 10-year anniversary was a wonderful event. So much thought is put into all of the events and every resident is made to feel extra special, even more so on their birthday. I wouldn't want Mum to be anywhere else. Each and every one of you is a superstar.
Thank you for taking the time to view and express how happy you are with mum's care. Thank you for supporting our celebrations.
An exemplary care home in every way. Spotlessly clean, carers that really do care. fantastic facilities and activities. It is a comfort to know my parents were/are so well looked after. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We appreciate your review and we are pleased your father is doing so well.
Extremely warm and welcoming environment. Staff very attentive and polite. All hospitality second to none. Plenty of food and drink. My dad is so so happy. After recently losing my mum he found it very hard. This has given him a new lease of life. He was sitting at the front enjoying the 2 singers. They were excellent. Very professional.
Thank you for your response and we are delighted that your father has settled so well.
I just wanted to thank you all at Woodland Grove for your years of dedicated care looking after my auntie and how much of a comfort it was to know she was in such good care. The fact that staff came to visit her in hospital in her final days and also attended the funeral was further proof, if it were needed, of the love that she was shown throughout her nearly 8 years at the home. Not to mention a phone call just a week ago from the lovely staff to check on me which was quite special.
Thank you for taking the time to review. As you know she was much loved by everyone in the home and will be missed. It was a pleasure to care for her.
Woodland Grove provides a very caring resident-central approach. The excellent staff take time to get to know the residents and then tailor their approach accordingly. I feel my father is being very well looked after and he is content and relaxed. The food is home-cooked with a decent variety of options. The activities are plentiful. All in all, I am very happy we selected Woodland Grove.
Thank you for giving a varied review of the facilities. We appreciate your feedback.
My father was in this care home for 18 months, they were excellent. Lovely people, they look after every need. They convinced him to do activities. When not well they made sure he was well looked after.
Thank you for your review. We will miss all your family and the support you also gave the home.
It took a few weeks to adjust, however, I am now feeling much better and moving more easily. I go out around the garden most days. I enjoy getting to know everyone and have made friends. Thank you.
We are delighted you are feeling settled and are fully involved in the daily activities offered. Thank you for taking the time to review.
The staff were lovely and did an amazing job preparing one of the rooms for a family birthday gathering. It was beautifully decorated and the food that was catered was lovely as well. I’m glad that my nan is getting the care that she needs and deserves.
Thank you for leaving a review reflecting on the gathering you enjoyed.
Thank you to all the warm caring people around my mother. Thank you carers, nurses, lovely housekeeping ladies, amazing receptionists, amazing activity ladies, and management. Thank you Woodland Grove for setting the bar high.
Thank you for taking the time to review and it is a pleasure to adapt every step of the way with your journey of care.
He has settled really well. We are very happy with all the staff, especially the lifestyle team, which we really enjoy taking Dad downstairs to the bistro for all the activities. He loves music and enjoys watching all that goes on.
Overall we couldn’t ask for a nicer, homely care home.
Thanks very much.
Thank you for your review. It is a delight to see your whole family support our activities with your dad.
My husband had a short stay at Woodlands Grove between his discharge from hospital and his death. He was treated with great care and kindness and I was given great support by the staff during this time and treated with sincere sympathy and compassion when he died.
Thank you for taking the time to review. It was a pleasure to be an important part of his journey.

Meet the Team (4)

I am a qualified Biomedical Scientist and specialised in Blood Transfusion. I worked for the NHS before I decided to join the Health and Social Care sector in 2012. My first role was at a small residential care setting for the elderly. I joined as a Deputy Manager and progressed to a Registered Manager role. Since then, I have been in various management roles within the sector.
I joined Oakland Care in 2020 as a Unit Manager. I then progressed to the Head of Memory and Residential Care Role before moving into the Deputy Manager Role and now General Manager. I have a passion for providing exceptional care and developing a team that goes above and beyond in the care they provide.

I have an academic background in Literature and Journalism. However, driven by the desire to be part of a meaningful change, in 2019, I decided to transition into the Social and Healthcare sector. This is when I joined Oakland Care as a Healthcare Assistant, and I have since advanced through various roles, progressively working my way up to my current position as Deputy Manager. My journey has given me a deep understanding of both the personal and professional aspects of care. As a Deputy Manager, I aim to ensure that our residents receive exceptional care and that my team is led with inspiration, compassion, and integrity. I recently earned a qualification in therapeutic counselling and am interested in all things philosophy and psychology.

I have supported Care Homes for over 9 years and previously worked in Leisure and HR. My role is to effectively manage the occupancy levels of both Lambwood Heights and Woodland Grove care homes and build positive relationships with residents, families and external contacts in the community.
I work closely with the marketing department and our lifestyles teams to ensure our services are promoted to reflect the excellent care and support we provide. The residents are our extended family who we love to nurture and share daily life with whilst keeping them safe and well. I’m always delighted to meet new families and support their journey.

Before starting at Woodland Grove, my previous role was event coordinator in a museum and I have always worked in a creative industry. I helped to create big events such as private view and private parties.
I have a passion for creating creative and inclusive opportunities for diverse groups and making them explore different art and crafts.I really enjoy also sports activities like keep fit and name the tune where we explore different music and create a great atmosphere.
