Osborne House is a luxurious facility built with due care and attention to provide care for older people and to meet the expectations of the citizens of Selby and surrounding areas of North Yorkshire.

The home has 74 well-appointed bedrooms over three floors, all with en suite toilet and showers. There are secluded gardens and some bedrooms and the lounged have patio access. Osborne House is very well equipped to encourage and maintain dignity, privacy and independence. A full activity programme is in place to encourage residents to pursue hobbies or even discover new ones.

The home's Butterfly Wing is a 14 bed dementia residential unit caring and supporting those with dementia to live as full and independent life as possible. Incorporating person-centred care with appropriate health and safety requirements to ensure the best quality of life for all residents in a safe and comfortable environment.

The Nightingale Floor is a 24 bed general nursing unit delivering nursing care in a warm and welcoming environment to promote health and wellbeing. The Nightingale floor is both able to provide clinical support and a friendly atmosphere to residents and families alike.

Ladybird is a 22 bed general residential unit providing support for those who need just a little help in their day to day lives, ensuring those who can still maintain their independence and individuality do so to the best of their ability. The various sitting rooms provide ample space for socialising or entertaining family and friends and there are also quiet lounges where the beautiful surroundings can just be enjoyed.

The Abbey Wing is a 14 bed residential unit is a range of luxury suites, allow those who require minimal support from staff can enjoy relaxing, entertaining or joining in with events arranged by the unit lead without any of the day to day concerns of having to manage household chores.

The staff, both nurses and carers are outstanding on the nursing floor. Their care and dedication is always highly professional.
There is a large selection of activities available. This is managed extremely well by the activities coordinator.
The housekeeping staff are amazing, so helpful and efficient.

We have just returned from visiting a new resident to your facility who is sadly suffering with Alzheimer's. My mother in law has been unwell for a while and the family wanted to see how a short stay would be taken by her. While she was confused at times she was welcomed in by all the staff and to our
great pleasure, we were made aware of the daily activities provided by this facility. She participated in all activities as the staff would come to collect her each day.
The facility is warm, clean and the food and service provided were excellent. Myself and my husband who was worried about how she would react to this change were grateful that she was being very well looked after and all her needs were being met by the incredibly friendly staff.

Both my parents came into Osbourne House after Dad had a series of falls. Mum has Alzheimer’s but they got a room together here and they are very happy. The staff have been brilliant in nursing Dad back to health. I would not hesitate in recommending this home based on the current permanent staff working
here. They go the extra mile for all the residents with friendliness, care and compassion.

Modern home dealing with multiple levels of care need, over three floors.
Good range of activity programmes and additional support services such as hairdresser, chiropodist and dentist.

I have visited Osbourne House on more than one occasion. A neighbour of mine was in there for respite. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly nothing was too much trouble, my neighbour speaks very highly of the care home which was a comfort to see as it was an initial worry when we heard she was
going to go in for a short time. She is now home and still misses Osbourne House. The home is neat and tidy and the decoration is very tasteful.

My mother had respite care in Osborne House for two weeks and was treated with care and respect by all staff. They were friendly and supportive and she enjoyed being there. She was initially opposed to entering any care home, but her views have changed and she said that she would return there again.
We are very grateful to all the staff who contributed and made her feel welcome.

I am welcoming, bubbly, and enthusiastic about my role and Osborne House.
