My husband came to Meadow Rose 4 months ago after a bad experience in a previous home and a 3 month hospital stay. It was a very difficult time for both of us. I have to say from the very first visit I felt this was the right place. The staff are wonderful - patient, kind and professional. He even went out on a day trip which is something I never believed would be possible. The activity team looked after him so well and he had a wonderful time. I'm finally able to relax knowing he is being well cared for. I cannot recommend this Home highly enough.
Thank you for your lovely review and recommendation. We're so pleased your husband has settled in well and that you feel reassured by his care. Your kind words mean a great deal to our team.
I became a volunteer visitor after having such a good experience originally visiting a resident. There is always a warm welcome on entry because of someone on reception which sets the tone. All staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, Residents are treated with dignity and respect and are given to believe nothing is too much trouble. When speaking to residents They speak very fondly and highly of The carers. Rooms are kept nicely and homely and always clean. Corridors/passages are kept empty to allow for easy passage along them, clean and fresh looking. The manager is friendly and professional and respected, is obviously doing a really good job
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. It means a great deal to us that your positive experience as a visitor inspired you to become one of our volunteers.
We are delighted to hear your kind comments about our reception team, carers, housekeeping...

Our mom has been in the home for 7 years now. Her care has always been excellent and the staff and Steve, the manager, have been available to speak to. Home is clean and tidy, and mom's room is made comfortable for her needs. Food and drink is good. So, I would recommend the home to others.
Thank you for your kind review and for taking the time to share your experience. It means a great deal to us to know that your mum has received excellent care throughout her seven years with us. We are delighted that you have found our team, including Steve, approachable and available whenever...
My mum has been cared for by Meadow Rose for the past 4 years, and the compassion and support towards mum is fantastic. Mum has had a challenging 4 years with dementia, but I truly trust all staff, nurses and carers with her daily needs. If I do ever have any questions or queries, I find the manager, reception staff and a lot of carers and nurses very approachable, and they will always sort minor issues out very quickly. Thank you for all that you do on a daily basis.

My husband, Eddie, was in Meadow Rose Nursing Home for 5 weeks. He was very poorly and stayed in bed. The staff were kind and worked hard looking after him in the last weeks of his life. I went to visit every day. Everyone was very friendly and made me and my family very welcome. Sue on reception was very kind to me and super friendlyy.
Hi Joyce,
Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback. I will ensure this is passed onto the team.
In the 12 months I have had dealings with Meadow Rose, I can only describe the services as 1st class. From the manager down, every member of staff in the home is helpful, friendly, caring and very supportive. The Quarterly Relatives Meetings are very helpful, keeping families involved and informed on upcoming changes. I would say to anyone looking for a nursing home, you will not find anywhere better than Meadow Rose.

The staff are attentive and friendly. The home is spotlessly clean, lots of things for residents to do if they want to. A big weight taken off my family's minds knowing my mom is being cared for and looked after.

I am an old neighbour of my friend and I have found the staff really helpful and kind. Always make us welcome. She is usually comfortable and food is very good. She is always clean and well cared for. I often jokingly tell her I am going to book a room for myself! I am a friend of hers and I was her neighbour.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're glad you feel welcomed when visiting and that your friend is comfortable, well cared for, and enjoying her meals. Your kind words mean a great deal to the team.

Meadow Rose are a kind and caring establishment run for the patient benefit rather than corporate grind. The activities are appropriate and and varied - aimed at provoking memories and bringing joy. The staff are caring and hard working. A credit to the organisation. Where any issues do occur residents and relatives are listened to and taken seriously and are dealt with in a timely fashion. Overall we are very happy with the care received.

Our daddy had been in Meadow Rose for 5 and a half weeks. Everyone was so lovely and friendly. They cared for my daddy, making him feel comfy. I cannot think of a nicer place for him to have been. Our daddy went to Heaven on Sunday. I cannot answer facilities as Daddy was in bed on palliative care or activities. But I am sure they would have been great.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. It means a great deal to our team to know that we were able to provide comfort and care for your father during his final days. We are deeply sorry for your loss and send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Wishing you and your family peace and strength during this difficult time.

Meet the Team (5)

I joined Macc Care nearly two decades ago, and it has truly been a remarkable journey. Meadow Rose holds a very special place in my heart, as I have spent almost half of my career here. This home isn’t just a workplace for me, it feels like a second family.
What I love most about my job is that it’s all about people. Over the years, I’ve built so many meaningful connections, shared countless moments of laughter, and had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of the most important chapters of their lives. Being able to brighten someone’s day, offer comfort, or simply be there when they need you, that’s what makes this work so deeply fulfilling for me and for our whole team and for me.
If you’re looking for a home where your loved one will be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and genuine care, Meadow Rose is a place where they will be treated with dignity, kindness, and a true sense of belonging.

I am the proud mom of four sons, two grandsons and a newly arrived granddaughter.
I live in the local area, which has helped me build lasting, valuable links with the communities to enable me to complete my job role at Meadow Rose.

It all started in December 2014, when I got my bank staff contract in the Domestic Department.
Since then, I have worked continuously for Meadow Rose, taking every day as a new challenge and opportunity to prove myself and help my colleagues, to do my best for our residents.
Working at Meadow Rose, it has not always been easy, going through challenges and hard times (especially the Covid-19 period), but what I can say is that we all have been supported by our Home Manager, Senior Management, Director's Level, etc, when needed.
Meadow Rose is my second Home. I love being part of the Team, I enjoy every day at work, even when I'm extremely busy. I am proud of my colleagues, and together we are Team Meadow Rose.

I am the Customer Relations Manager at Meadow Rose Care Home with experience across the care sector and a personal understanding of how emotional and challenging finding the right care for a loved one can be. I'm passionate about supporting families with compassion, honesty, and reassurance every step of the way.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my five children and our dog, who certainly take up most of my spare time. When I do get the chance to relax, I enjoy paddleboarding and spending time on the Isle of Wight.

As a valued member of the Meadow Rose team for 8 years, Sophie has undergone a remarkable journey of growth and development. Her career progression from care assistant to senior care assistant, and ultimately to lead activities coordinator, is a shining example of her dedication and passion for her work. Sophie's academic achievements, including completing her NVQ level 3 in health and social care, further demonstrate her commitment to excellence.
In her personal time, Sophie cherishes moments spent with her family, whether that's browsing car boot sales or attending craft fairs. Her favourite culinary delights include Chinese cuisine and spaghetti bowls.
