I have nothing but praise for Meadow Rose Nursing Home. It is reassuring for me to know that my husband is being well looked after.
Her personal hygiene is excellent and her room is always clean and tidy.
The staff are friendly and polite.
My mother has been a resident at Meadow Rose for 6 months now. In that time, she has become part of a friendly, caring community with a family feel, which has allayed all her fears about going into a home. Mum's room is bright and airy and is large enough to accommodate several visitors at once. We can visit at any time and are always made to feel welcome even at busy times. The staff work hard and are quick to respond to mum's needs and mum thinks of them as her friends. There is a range of activities on offer, which mum is encouraged to join in with but she is given the freedom to choose to go to her room whenever she wants. We are confident that she is in good hands.
Thank you
The care compassion shown to my husband is the best we have had in five years. He has been in four care homes and each one has had problems doing my husbands personal care. He is now put on the commode twice a day and showered regularly. He is treated with respect and even though he is an epileptic, stroke patient with no speech he still is spoken to and loved and treated like a family member. The manager is excellent, listens to complaints and acts on. Any complaint that needs attending to. The care home is basic but spotlessly clean and meals are excellent.
Many thanks for your kind words.

Meet the Team (5)

I joined Macc Care nearly two decades ago, and it has truly been a remarkable journey. Meadow Rose holds a very special place in my heart, as I have spent almost half of my career here. This home isn’t just a workplace for me, it feels like a second family.
What I love most about my job is that it’s all about people. Over the years, I’ve built so many meaningful connections, shared countless moments of laughter, and had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of the most important chapters of their lives. Being able to brighten someone’s day, offer comfort, or simply be there when they need you, that’s what makes this work so deeply fulfilling for me and for our whole team and for me.
If you’re looking for a home where your loved one will be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and genuine care, Meadow Rose is a place where they will be treated with dignity, kindness, and a true sense of belonging.

I am the proud mom of four sons, two grandsons and a newly arrived granddaughter.
I live in the local area, which has helped me build lasting, valuable links with the communities to enable me to complete my job role at Meadow Rose.

It all started in December 2014, when I got my bank staff contract in the Domestic Department.
Since then, I have worked continuously for Meadow Rose, taking every day as a new challenge and opportunity to prove myself and help my colleagues, to do my best for our residents.
Working at Meadow Rose, it has not always been easy, going through challenges and hard times (especially the Covid-19 period), but what I can say is that we all have been supported by our Home Manager, Senior Management, Director's Level, etc, when needed.
Meadow Rose is my second Home. I love being part of the Team, I enjoy every day at work, even when I'm extremely busy. I am proud of my colleagues, and together we are Team Meadow Rose.

I am the Customer Relations Manager at Meadow Rose Care Home with experience across the care sector and a personal understanding of how emotional and challenging finding the right care for a loved one can be. I'm passionate about supporting families with compassion, honesty, and reassurance every step of the way.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my five children and our dog, who certainly take up most of my spare time. When I do get the chance to relax, I enjoy paddleboarding and spending time on the Isle of Wight.

As a valued member of the Meadow Rose team for 8 years, Sophie has undergone a remarkable journey of growth and development. Her career progression from care assistant to senior care assistant, and ultimately to lead activities coordinator, is a shining example of her dedication and passion for her work. Sophie's academic achievements, including completing her NVQ level 3 in health and social care, further demonstrate her commitment to excellence.
In her personal time, Sophie cherishes moments spent with her family, whether that's browsing car boot sales or attending craft fairs. Her favourite culinary delights include Chinese cuisine and spaghetti bowls.
