Mum went in for end of life care. We were a bit apprehensive as we didn't have a good experience with a care home mum went into previous to Perry Manor. All our apprehension disappeared as soon as mum went in. Our family was so happy with absolutely everything from the reception staff, mums carers and the cleaner too. Mum was only in for one week before she passed, it felt like we knew all the staff for much longer. They looked after all of us with care, especially Dad. We as a family cannot express how ALL the staff we met while mum was there helped us through a very difficult and sad time. even after mum passed they invited Dad back to visit which he has on a few occasions.

Right from the first phone call I made to the recent 6 week review of mum's care, I can't speak highly enough of the wonderful staff at Perry Manor. They manage to be professional, efficient, friendly, kind and caring all at the same time. Nothing is too trivial or too much trouble. Their attention to detail is second to none, and their communication first rate. Mum couldn't be looked after any better. A shout out too for the behind the scenes staff in the housekeeping and catering departments. The food is amazing, and the home is always spotless. I have no hesitation in recommending Perry Manor to anyone.

The staff are what makes the home. They are all welcoming and well led. Staff support the residents and reassure the family members especially when transitioning to care. Knowing my Dad is in a safe place, in safe hands with Perry Manor is very reassuring.

Our beloved Dad recently passed away, having spent a significant number of years with Team Perry. His care has always been exemplary, and it was a huge comfort during his final days to witness their love and tenderness for him, and the dignity they so diligently afforded him. We are also incredibly grateful for the support to us as his family.
Team members from all roles in the building shared anecdotes, made sure they spent time with him both before and after his passing, and made it clear just how much he was valued on a personal level. The culture at Perry, fostered by a stellar manager and nurtured by all levels, is to be applauded.

To the whole Team, Thank-you, so much, for everything.

Perry Manor is a most friendly and cheerful place where one is always greeted by name. The residents seem to be happy and well looked after - it is unfailingly clean - the food is wonderful. I regularly visit a friend who always confirms that his needs are met. Should I require care at any time, I hope it will be Perry Manor standard.

Very impressed with reception staff who are very quick to help us. Mum's care staff are exceptional, they don't forget a visitor's face and have in-depth personal knowledge of Mum's care needs and go out of their way to make sure she is well catered for. Regular weekly updates are provided to us and when we visit it is clear that Mum is flourishing and very much enjoys her stay at Pery Manor.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Perry Manor for 5 and a half years. I can't speak highly enough of the care she received there. M.I.L was nursed through COVID and many other episodes of ill health, always with respect and empathy. It was a great comfort to see her become a valued member of the Perry Manor family with a much better quality of life than if we had continued to try and keep her at home as her dementia progressed. During her last week we witnessed excellent nursing care delivered professionally with respect, compassion and love, which was also extended to my husband and me. Thank you.

Before moving mum to Perry Manor in May 2025 she had a red line that she did not want to move to a Care Home. So I was very surprised that she suggested she may be better off in one rather than remaining in her own home, but even more surprised that it lasted more than 2 weeks. This I feel is down to the excellence, professionalism, kindness and caring approach adopted by all staff. It is always spotless and immaculately maintained at all times. All staff are extremely accommodating to both residents and visitors alike and I always feel welcome. I have joined my mum on several occasions to dine with her and find the meals both tasty and filling. If there is not an option on the menu mum likes this is always replaced with an alternative. The home provides stimulating activities, company when needed and transported excursions that my mother really enjoys. Oh and then there is the cake! I would honestly recommend Perry Manor, otherwise I would have moved her.

Have nothing but praise for this care home. Mom moved in this year and we felt supported the whole journey from looking around to settling in. As soon as you walk in the door you are met with friendly faces and a real sense of belonging. The care has been excellent and it's allowed family to not worry about mom. There is attention to detail from getting to know someone, learning their likes and dislikes, communicating with the team any needs and all in a clean and beautiful environment. Family/friends/visitors are made to feel as welcome as any resident. Staff are approachable and supportive. It's not been an easy change however it's been so reassuring that it was the right decision to have chosen Perry Manor. I advise anyone to go and look around, ask questions and see for yourself. Staff love what they do and take pride in what they do.

Mum spent her last few weeks here before sadly passed away just before Christmas. Throughout her stay the staff were fantastic with her, incredibly caring and attentive throughout. When the end came, the staff excelled themselves, helping to ease the trauma of the experience and we really appreciated that. I would have no hesitation in recommending this as a fantastic place in which to entrust the care of a loved one.

My sister-in-law has been in Perry Manor since 2022. The home is amazing and the teams standards are very high. You can have a beautiful but without an amazing team giving great care and they do. The bluebell line manager is approachable and nothing is too much trouble. If I was ever to be put in a home, I would choose Perry Manor.

Home has been amazing. Have gone above and beyond for Linda and relatives. Very clean here and always have a hot/cold drink available. Always a member of staff to speak to, every person I have met working here has greeted me with a smile, especially the Bluebell suite manager who has been wonderful to our family. Overall, a faultless experience with staff and home.

Since my mum has been at Perry Manor we as a family have been very happy with the level of care she has received, all the staff seem to tend to Mum's needs and know her very well. The manager of the Bluebell Suite I would like to especially praise, he goes above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble, he sits and talks and answers all our questions. The home is always of a clean standard.

Katherine Matthews
Katherine MatthewsJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2016

I’m a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse, and prior to joining Perry Manor in 2016, I was Deputy Hospital Director of a 63-bed psychiatric hospital in Bristol. I originally joined Care UK in 2006 and worked in its mental health division. The idea of returning to work for the organisation was attractive because I believed in its core values, and respected its ‘care first, business second’ approach.

Since joining the Perry Manor team, I’ve been making positive changes for both the residents and my colleagues. I was thrilled when we received an ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission at our inspection in late 2018. We were the first home in Worcester to achieve this quality rating.

I’ve also been honoured to have won a couple of recent awards for my work. In 2019 I won silver in the British Journal of Nursing Awards and in the same year I won the award for Best Dementia Care Manager at the National Dementia Care Awards.

I’m incredibly proud of the fantastic home we’ve created for older people in Worcester – none of which would have been possible without the commitment and passion of the team at Perry Manor. When you work in a care home you realise that it is organic, there will never be a finished product. It continues to grow, change and develop. Looking ahead, we will continue to strive to deliver the best care to every resident, keeping up-to-date with the latest practice and working with residents and their families to make Perry Manor a home from home for all of our residents.
