Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.

an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My husband went to Perry Manor for end-of-life care in November. He was relatively young but had terminal cancer. I visited every day for about 5 weeks and he was always treated with respect, care and kindness. The staff were really lovely, happy to help or stop and chat for a while to help me and members
of our family.
He wasn't able to join in the various activities arranged, but the staff always asked, just in case he changed his mind. For a while, he took great pleasure in making his way to the little cafe area and enjoying the pastries and a coffee. When later, he was obviously distressed or in pain, the staff made every effort to help, treat and comfort him.
They were also so kind to me and the family. I can only say 'Thank God' he spent the last few weeks of his life in such a caring establishment.

I visit my husband at least five days out of seven. He is in the Malvern Suite. I constantly witness kindness and patience by the caring team. There are often challenging circumstances and I see and hear the calm and understanding and reassuring approach by the team. They appear to understand the special
needs and challenges of all residents. This really reassures me and helps me to have quality time with my husband when I do visit.

Perry Manor provided palliative care for the last week of my mother's life. She was provided with the care and dignity she deserved, the staff were absolutely brilliant. What an incredible care home! My mother was here for a number of years and I couldn't have wished for better care for her. The staff are all amazing and looked after my mum so well, it made her time there so special. Towards the end of her life and afterwards, they were amazing and so kind and gentle

Perry Manor provided fantastic care for my mother over a period of 4 years. Staff were caring, kind and compassionate up to her passing away there. End of life care was also exceptional. The building is modern, clean and practical with plenty of light and rooms very comfortable.

My partner's father received care of the highest quality whilst at Perry Manor, he had all that he needed (and more!) both in the care that was given to him and the facilities around him to be comfortable and settled. His end of life care was given with dignity and staff went above and beyond to ensure
that family members were able to be with him. I would absolutely recommend the care home and the whole team.

Sadly, my Dad was only at Perry Manor for a short time, towards the end of his life. But the manager and her team made sure he was as comfortable, happy and dignified as possible. Even whilst some of the facilities and arrangements were still limited due to Covid restrictions, there was an incredible
range of things for Dad to be involved in, if he chose to. The surroundings are wonderful, clean, modern and personalised and the staff team are friendly, professional, endlessly patient with mischievous people (Dad) and always treated Dad with dignity and respect. They made his stay there more fun than I could've imagined. The food and drink were outstanding, as were the variety and choice offered. I wish the staff team there could've known Dad when he was in a better way but I'm so impressed with everything about Perry Manor, it's difficult to put it into words. I'd absolutely recommend this as a place to be, should anyone need care and support from a great team.

This is a hard review to write as my dad was in Perry Manor for nearly 6 years and passed away at the home in the middle of April.
In those 6 years, we have encountered many different situations. There is a core team of carers who would do anything for him and they loved him like he was part of the
family.
Issues taken to local management were dealt with quickly and the team were very supportive in the final week of his life.

Mum needed to go into a home very quickly and Perry Manor pulled out all the stops to achieve this. My mother went into Perry Manor for 2 weeks respite care in May 2022. The facilities were excellent and the home spotlessly clean. The management team were excellent in offering us support and advice about mum's long term future care. That care and support was greatly appreciated by my family as we
had recently lost our father, and it made a difficult situation more tolerable. Mum received excellent and dignified care from all the staff and her right to choose was respected and valued even though she has Alzheimer's disease. She settled well and told me that the staff were lovely and kind towards her. The activities at Perry Manor were excellent and mum really enjoyed joining in various projects with the other residents. I would highly recommend Perry Manor to any prospective resident.

The facilities at Perry Manor matched dad's needs and he started in the Malvern suite in March 2022. It soon became apparent that the team consider each resident as a part of their family. The team took time to consider the detail of care required. In many cases, the decisions taken in the implementation
of care clearly put dads' needs first and the demanding consequent challenges to the staff second. An example being to give dad as much autonomy and freedom as his condition allowed. Such decisions have resulted in dad settling quickly and most importantly allowing him to find comfort and a little contentment in this chapter of his life. I am very grateful that the team in Perry Manor have the resources, competence, and most importantly the positive mindset to giving those with the most challenging illnesses the best of care in a warm, caring, and kind environment.

I have come to Perry Manor as they offer specialist nursing care for my personal needs. This does mean being a little further away from my family, but I have felt welcomed into the home and really happy with the care I receive. I was previously quite poorly, but they nursed me back to good health. The

This care home caters for all types of care needs with expertise and empathy. The staff are well trained and work exceedingly hard. All are of a pleasant demeanour and put your dignity first. Mum's move into residential care was unexpected and distressing for everyone. From the very beginning, the staff at Perry Manor did everything they could to help us through the move and make things as welcoming for mum as possible. Covid-19 makes the situation very difficult but even if we have limited
time with Mum, I am that the staff are working hard to keep her safe and comfortable.

Katherine Matthews

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I’m a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse, and prior to joining Perry Manor in 2016, I was Deputy Hospital Director of a 63-bed psychiatric hospital in Bristol. I originally joined Care UK in 2006 and worked in its mental health division. The idea of returning to work for the organisation was attractive because I believed in its core values, and respected its ‘care first, business second’ approach.


Since joining the Perry Manor team, I’ve been making positive changes for both the residents and my colleagues. I was thrilled when we received an ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission at our inspection in late 2018. We were the first home in Worcester to achieve this quality rating.


I’ve also been honoured to have won a couple of recent awards for my work. In 2019 I won silver in the British Journal of Nursing Awards and in the same year I won the award for Best Dementia Care Manager at the National Dementia Care Awards.


I’m incredibly proud of the fantastic home we’ve created for older people in Worcester – none of which would have been possible without the commitment and passion of the team at Perry Manor. When you work in a care home you realise that it is organic, there will never be a finished product. It continues to grow, change and develop. Looking ahead, we will continue to strive to deliver the best care to every resident, keeping up-to-date with the latest practice and working with residents and their families to make Perry Manor a home from home for all of our residents.
