Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Mum-in-law has been at Perry Manor for three months, every member of staff has been very supportive, not just to Mum but the family too. The place is always spotless and very well run. Food is excellent, even to her asking for 'smoked salmon', it was given as a starter the following day! Cafe is superb,
nice place to sit and chat. Plenty of activities, always things going on. It took time to find a home that she and the family feel comfortable and happy with. We can honestly say Perry Manor far exceeded our expectations.

It was a big decision as to which care home my mother, aged 91 went into when unfortunately she could no longer manage at home. After a tour round, impressed with what I saw, 3 months ago Mum moved to the manor. Her bedroom is extremely spacious, well-furnished with a large wet room. her own front door
to make it her area. All staff at every level are polite, extremely caring, not just to residents but to families as well with support when needed. Plenty of activities are arranged with staff taking Mum to a local Bridge club and inviting the club to the manor to play. Sports day was fun, winning 3 medals and a cup. The food is good and varied, nice coffee lounge with cakes to visit. The medical knowledge of some staff is excellent which helped me when Mum had a brief stay in hospital by explaining her issues in a way I could understand. Couldn't wish for a better home for her.

Mum was admitted to Perry Manor in September 2023. As a family we cannot fault the care and attention given to Mum during her stay. The team could not do enough to support Mum and the family, specifically her husband. The home is welcoming, light and airy with lovely rooms and leisure spaces along with
many activities and services available to residents. Our lasting memories of Mum's stay are happy ones knowing that Mum was in safe hands in a lovely, caring and dignified environment. The manager and the team put so much into making residents' stays a good experience. Again I can only say the care they provide is second to none.

Signposting inside and out. My problem was finding the Perry Manor Care Home and finding my way around inside. Outside, driving alone, I did not see the name Perry Manor written on the wall of the building, nor spot any signposts as I drove into the hospital grounds. You need much better signposting.
Inside, instructed to go to floor 2, when I left the lift there was no label on the office in front of me, so I wandered around far too much.

All the staff at Perry Manor made me feel very welcome and at home. The care and attention I received were excellent, nothing was too much. The facilities are wonderful, especially the cafe with its delicious cakes, where I was able to sit in comfort with my visitors. I was only at Perry Manor for a
few short weeks while I recovered from a recent hospital stay but I would definitely come back if I needed the extra help. Fantastic food too!

Perry Manor has looked after my aunt very well since she moved in December 2023. The staff have been excellent and kept us informed throughout, whenever needed. They have shown patience, a caring, mature dedication and a wish to ensure my aunt was always looked after. Communication of activities has
been good, with reception staff attentive and areas to sit and get refreshments well-stocked. One negative was other residents taking possessions and hearing aids.

My spirited aunt spent her last 4 months at Perry Manor Cromwell Suite, enduring dementia and what proved to be incurable cancer, together with deafness and increasing mobility issues. She found her physical and mental limits challenging, which made her care complex and sometimes testing. She received
effective, respectful, dignified and individualised care; her room and the building, food, available activities, and never-ending good humour from qualified, well-managed and patient staff around her were all outstanding; she fully appreciated it and accepted it. Nurses worked with excellent local NHS support as her medical needs grew, anticipating each step to control pain. Everything that could be done was done well. Her end-of-life care was of the highest standard available anywhere, and the succession of family members rotating to be with her then was welcomed as if it was no trouble at all. We were so very pleased to have found Perry Manor, and I recommend it without reservation.

My brother-in-law moved to Perry Manor in January 2023, after hospitalisation and a short stay in a one-to-one care setting. He has complex needs and lives in the Malvern Unit.
The staff at Perry Manor are exceptionally calm and compassionate, despite working with people with very challenging behaviours.
My brother-in-law is treated with respect and enabled to do things as well as he is able, even though he can react and respond in varying ways. Meals are always high quality and appealing.
Staff have also enabled my brother-in-law to do things which he might enjoy. On his birthday, we were able to have a private showing of one of his favourite ballets in the cinema with cake and Prosecco! On days when my brother-in-law remembers his home, he says he would like to return. Whilst Perry Manor can never be ‘home’, everyone does their best to make it a place of safety, where residents are treated kindly, kept clean and comfortable, dressed in clothes they like and have unrestricted visits by friends and family.

My mother has been at Perry Manor since November 2023. We’re so pleased that we chose this care home for Mum. It was a big decision to make for all the family. We were immediately impressed by what we saw, and how helpful and professional the admissions team was.
This continued throughout the admission
process, the early days at the home, and up to the present date. It’s not hard to see why Perry Manor has such a high Care Commission report score. The staff have been excellent, listening to our feedback and acting on it. Mum has improved dramatically, in particular, how much better her appetite is and putting weight back on. Also getting involved in the regular daily activities that the events team puts on, and enjoying the wildlife in view from her room. The café area, in a lovely bright conservatory, with complimentary cakes and tea/coffee is a great place to sit and chat with family during visits. The car parking and accessibility of the home also add to the whole experience.

My mother and I had never intended that she would spend her last days in a care home and it had felt like a very difficult choice to make, but all these months later, I can honestly say there is nowhere else I would have chosen her to be.

Wonderful place to be in. All the staff are so thoughtful and kind. If all care homes were like Perry Manor it would be a nicer world. I can't praise it enough. It's not a building, it's the people who work in it that make it homely. Can't fault it in any way.

I have been consistently impressed by the care and professionalism of all the staff and the ongoing evident ethos of continued learning to deliver the most up-to-date dementia care practice.
The high-quality activities schedule every week is remarkable and activities are tailored to individual resident's
wishes and capability to engage. There is proactive communication with resident's facilities by reading newsletters and a weekly published activities calendar.
Catering for resident's meals is also very high standard.

My father has been a resident at Perry Manor since March 2023. He has dementia and he cannot remember where he is. But he’s well cared for, he is encouraged to join in with lovely recreational activities each day and he is allowed to take a snooze when he needs one. The staff are superb, the management

I stayed on the nursing floor of Perry Manor on NHS Continuing Health Care funding after a period in a hospice due to my cancer. When my condition improved a little I lost my NHS funding and went home for care by my GP and community nurses.
I found all the staff at Perry Manor to be caring and helpful
and many took time, over and above their essential tasks, to have conversations with me about my interests and how I was feeling. I felt that they genuinely cared about me and my mental health.
The care regime is structured to ensure the care and safety of people perhaps less able than I was and whilst I appreciate the need for this I occasionally found the regime a little inflexible for my needs.
I am quite a fussy eater and my illness requires a low-fibre diet. The catering staff did their best to accommodate this and I often had meals specially made for me.
The building is modern, well-designed, pleasantly furnished and decorated and always thoroughly cleaned. There are many imaginative activities for those able to take part in them.

  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Katherine Matthews

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2016

I’m a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse, and prior to joining Perry Manor in 2016, I was Deputy Hospital Director of a 63-bed psychiatric hospital in Bristol. I originally joined Care UK in 2006 and worked in its mental health division. The idea of returning to work for the organisation was attractive because I believed in its core values, and respected its ‘care first, business second’ approach.


Since joining the Perry Manor team, I’ve been making positive changes for both the residents and my colleagues. I was thrilled when we received an ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission at our inspection in late 2018. We were the first home in Worcester to achieve this quality rating.


I’ve also been honoured to have won a couple of recent awards for my work. In 2019 I won silver in the British Journal of Nursing Awards and in the same year I won the award for Best Dementia Care Manager at the National Dementia Care Awards.


I’m incredibly proud of the fantastic home we’ve created for older people in Worcester – none of which would have been possible without the commitment and passion of the team at Perry Manor. When you work in a care home you realise that it is organic, there will never be a finished product. It continues to grow, change and develop. Looking ahead, we will continue to strive to deliver the best care to every resident, keeping up-to-date with the latest practice and working with residents and their families to make Perry Manor a home from home for all of our residents.
