My Grandad lived at 'Perry Manor' for 2 years, in which time I found the staff very attentive and compassionate - nothing was too much trouble for them. As my Grandad's health deteriorated, the staff adapted their care skills to his needs. The staff were always respectful of his wishes and protected his dignity at all times. When my Grandfather finally passed away in early July, again the staff were compassionate and respected my Grandad's wishes. Staff came to Grandad's funeral which showed testament to their dedication to their work.
What an amazing place - cannot fault it. I would be very happy to end my days living here. My excellent remarks are all true! If I won a £ million I would sell my house and move in here.
Very kind and helpful. Well fed, restful.
So far as I can see My husband is being cared for extremely well. The staff are busy so cannot come immediately when asked for but it is very obvious that others patients need more care than my husband so he has to wait. I am pleased that when he took a tumble the matter was kept in proportion and was not treated as a disaster. These things happen. There has been a muddle in administration as our address was copied down incorrectly so that post was going astray. I should have written the address down myself rather than leave it to a member of staff. I doubt whether my husband can cope with activities.
Relative happy but very pleased to see a family member.
Enjoyed game of scrabble in coffee area and engaged to talking to lots of different people. I feel the use of a mini bus would be a great benefit.

My parents (both) have now been here for eight months. The staff on the first floor where they stay have always been friendly and welcoming and have treated both with dignity at all times. My parents always look clean and well cared for and have settled well (although mum's health did take rapid decline once she moved in). I would perhaps like to see more activities which would keep dad busy, as it is often very quiet here with little going on.

From our first visit to view the home we were welcomed by the staff and treated with every respect. My wife, has been looked after very well. The room is excellent and kept clean daily. Food is very good and varied. My wife is very happy to be at Perry Manor - given she is unable to be in her own home.
I have been really impressed by Perry Manor. The staff are incredibly kind and caring and continue to treat mum with compassion and consideration. The atmosphere is very homely and welcoming and everyone is always smiling. There are an abundance of activities to keep all residents occupied, as the staff made very attempt to tailor care to everyone's individual needs. I cannot recommend the home enough!
Dad is very well cared for in difficult health situation. Staff are very kind and friendly. They are also very helpful to me.
Generally care staff and standards are good but there is room for improvement in that the attention to individual attention to detail can be improved. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would expect the quality of care to improve to near excellent after the increase in fees from 1st April 2016 as better staff are attracted by increase in care staff salaries.

We have found the care and support at Perry Manor to be absolutely first class. Mum has been treated like a lady since she first arrived. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. The nursing care has been superb. Everyone enters the room with a smile and a personal greeting. Catering is very good with a very wide choice of food on offer at every meal, and again lovely greetings from the staff. Housekeeping is high class, room and bathroom always clean. Mum is treated with dignity at all times, and is always consulted.
My mother was admitted in December, following 11 weeks in three different hospitals. She was given a diagnosis of vascular dementia whilst in hospital and needed full time care. Her physical state was very confused and aggressive. Four months on and she is hardly recognisable, she has gained some weight due to the wonderful three meals a day. She looks better her hair and nails are done regularly. She can now hold a reasonable conversation, and she is enjoying her surroundings. She believes she chose Perry Manor! The staff are excellent, caring, encouraging, nothing is too much trouble. We (her family) are so grateful to have found a wonderful final home for our mother.
I have been living here for just over a year and i am well cared for by all the staff and my needs are always met. I get on with everyone and feel comfortable and at home here.
A very straightforward and honest presentation from all, down from the manager, with a special word of thanks to customer relation manager. But then from the manager to carers, cleaners, first class efforts. I am about to take over my new room on the second floor. My wife and I cant wait for the opening and change over. We thank them all very much.
The home is first class. The care is superb. All the staff are very well trained and very supportive to the family. My aunt could not have had any better care anywhere.
Staff members at the home were excellent at getting my reluctant father to come in and look around the facilities. My father is now very happily enclosed at Perry Manor. A well managed home with very good staff.
Perry Manor is a high quality home in all respects, from quality of the facilities to the care and support provided by all staff. It is a modern, welcoming and relaxing environment with a 'warmth' that is achieved through the manner in which residents are cared for as individuals, and friends and relatives are welcomed as are visitors. Care is provided with thought and flexibility in a way that strikes the right balance between respect and informality; with staff always making time to talk as and when necessary. As a relative I have a high level of confidence in the staff to provide the care and support required.
I find Perry Manor Care Home very professionally run by the staff and management. The high standard of service in nursing care and aged care is excellent. The friendliness, calmness, helpfulness, facilities, cleanliness, quality of food provided are all exemplary. The modern state of the art décor is so cosy, comfortable, relaxing, reassuringly 'a home', particularly for the aged who are spending their end of life here. A very impressive care home.

Meet the Team (1)

I’m a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse, and prior to joining Perry Manor in 2016, I was Deputy Hospital Director of a 63-bed psychiatric hospital in Bristol. I originally joined Care UK in 2006 and worked in its mental health division. The idea of returning to work for the organisation was attractive because I believed in its core values, and respected its ‘care first, business second’ approach.
Since joining the Perry Manor team, I’ve been making positive changes for both the residents and my colleagues. I was thrilled when we received an ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission at our inspection in late 2018. We were the first home in Worcester to achieve this quality rating.
I’ve also been honoured to have won a couple of recent awards for my work. In 2019 I won silver in the British Journal of Nursing Awards and in the same year I won the award for Best Dementia Care Manager at the National Dementia Care Awards.
I’m incredibly proud of the fantastic home we’ve created for older people in Worcester – none of which would have been possible without the commitment and passion of the team at Perry Manor. When you work in a care home you realise that it is organic, there will never be a finished product. It continues to grow, change and develop. Looking ahead, we will continue to strive to deliver the best care to every resident, keeping up-to-date with the latest practice and working with residents and their families to make Perry Manor a home from home for all of our residents.
