Buckingham House Care Home

My wife is looked after very well with dignity and respect. Staff are attentive and caring. The staff know my wife really well and always make sure she is well dressed. Always a warm welcome from all staff.

My wife has been at Buckingham House Care Home for two years. Like many other homes staff retention and minor decoration issues arise but the management team work hard to resolve these. The care teams are constantly training and extremely well led by a manager that knows the home, residents and relatives and friends inside out. You will always get a warm welcome at reception, tea coffee biscuits cakes also available. Reception is the go to place for anything, even a chat. Nurses run the floors with efficiency and always keep you updated with any changes or incidents with your loved one. The catering team do a great job I recommend the bacon sandwiches if you have an early appointment or stay for lunch you will not be disappointed, looking forward to Christmas dinner. The carers are kind and respectful and most will bend over backwards to accommodate your loved ones needs, will always greet you with a smile, they work long shifts and on occasions have to deal with upsetting situations, well done.

Dad is very happy in Buckingham House, he has settled in very well. The care is excellent here, all staff are so lovely and kind. The food is so good, especially the cakes. Activities are very good and the team are very caring. I would recommend Buckingham House to friends.

I can't recommend Buckingham House enough - having been at the care home for a month, my dad has decided to move there permanently and I am very grateful to the whole team for making him so comfortable.

The care that Dad has been given is five stars. From the moment I arrived to the welcome from the amazing reception and all staff. The activities staff are happy to help with my dad getting involved in activities. The food is so good.

From the moment my friends first became residents, they have been looked after perfectly. My friend's last few weeks of his long 94 years he spent being looked after by the team. He was made comfortable, kept his dignity and was made to feel special and important till his last days. I can't thank you all enough for the support you gave him and still continue to give my other friend.

I found the facility to be fit for my purposes and the experience professional and enjoyable.

My husband has been a resident for five weeks. I wasn't sure how he would settle in, but he loves it! The staff are warm and friendly and do their best to action any requests. The home feels happy and has a lovely atmosphere. My husband has hired a physiotherapist to visit and help with his mobility. This would be a nice and useful service for the home to offer alongside the hairdresser and podiatrist.

This care home is absolutely fabulous. The entire team are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for either my dad or us as a family. My dad is incredibly difficult to look after and all the team are so patient and caring. I cannot recommend this care home highly enough.

My parents have resided in Buckingham House Care Home for the last 2/3 years. I have been very impressed with the standard and quality of care they have both received and the warm and caring staff that have been a big support to us as a family.

Very caring towards Mum, meeting her needs by introducing local walks, gardening etc. Mum has regained weight in her first five months here.

This is an excellent care home where all the staff have time for me as a visitor and my wife for the care she receives. So it shows them how teamwork is achieved, by staff meetings and an expectation of what is expected from the staff. I hope they can keep it up against all the odds and the work the home has to put up with. Well done.

Buckingham House Care Home and all the staff have been amazing with my friend, whenever I have visited they have been extremely helpful and treated my friend with dignity and kindness at all times. So impressed with all the facilities and rooms. Excellent. The receptionist is always very cheerful and helpful.

I would recommend Buckingham House and think all the staff do a fantastic job. Since my father has been a resident, he has had excellent care from the staff. He is very well looked after and extremely happy here. The staff always update me of Dads situation and his daily routines. The home is very clean, and we are pleased Dad is a permanent resident in Buckingham House.

My mother came to the nursing home as part of a discharge to assess package, the outcome of which is still awaiting. However, I would be very pleased for my mother to remain at the nursing home if that is an available option. I have found all the staff exceptionally kind, caring and very helpful. I am very pleased with the level of care that my mother is receiving currently. Thank you very much to all concerned with the care of my mother.

My mother has spent a month at Buckingham House in respite and has received exceptional care. Everyone is so friendly and goes out of their way to make her stay a positive experience. Mum has now made the decision to stay on a permanent basis.

Very welcoming when you arrive. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The home is very clean and the resident seems very happy. Good activities programme.
