Buckingham House Care Home

The home is so lovely and the staff are fabulous. My mum was admitted from hospital for rehab and recovery and she is so happy and has really enjoyed her time at Buckingham House. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic staff from the admin/reception staff and the managers, through to the care staff and cleaners. Everyone I have come across is empathetic and caring and this is reflected in the feel of the home. The care is resident led and even when dealing with challenging behaviour the attitude of the staff is one of understanding and kindness. It has made an extremely difficult transition for my mum and the rest of the family much easier and I am confident that she is in the best hands.

I am now able to visit my mother inside her room after outside visits only since she became a resident. The staff are superb and my mum is always clean and as cheerful as she can be as she is bedbound and on 24-hour oxygen. The home is always welcoming and available to answer any questions we may have regarding my mums care.

Absolutely first class at every level. Terrific staff, food and accommodation - can't fault it.

Lovely care home, my nan always seems so happy and talks very highly of the staff. She is always clean and tidy when I visit and is usually excited to tell me about what she has been doing and showing me her lovely painted nails. We are kept up to date with photos and videos of her looking very happy, which we love receiving.

Buckingham House is a lovely care home. My mother was transferred here from hospital 2 months ago and the care she has received has been wonderful. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I have over the years suffered mental health problems but have always received wonderful treatment and care at Buckingham House.

All the staff have been absolutely amazing. They have kept me informed and made a huge difference to mums rehabilitation. Mum has been so happy to stay here. A special appreciation to the lady on mums floor and for the receptionist who has been so efficient and lovely. I would have no problem with mum coming back if she ever needed to. A very Big big thank you from me and mum.

Despite a difficult past year with Covid-19, my wife seems to have settled in okay. She moved in April 2020. She is a bit restless but has been for a couple of years now. The management and staff I have met have all been delightful, friendly, helpful, and cannot be faulted. My options following are based on my very restricted access during the pandemic.

Very friendly positive attitude fo staff. Good accommodation and staff. Food is very good.

Buckingham House provides excellent care for residents. The way the manager and staff have managed the Covid crisis is amazing, relatives are kept well informed and updated with regular phone calls and emails as well as Zoom relatives meetings. The staff are unfailingly kind, gentle and compassionate to residents - it feels like a family. The staff notice small changes in residents' mood and behaviour and seek to understand why this might be. My mother has now been a resident for 2 years - we have had complete peace of mind and she is happy, with all her needs being met.

When my sister arrived she was distant and withdrawn. Now she smiles and laughs again.

I particularly was made welcome and visit daily during this dreadful Covid time. Thanks to all reception, nursing and others.

I do miss seeing a certain member of staff around the place as she helped us make our decision. Keep it up.

I have nothing but the highest of praise and admiration for the manager and all his wonderful staff, always so cheerful and patient. I know they will continue to do their utmost to keep Mum well, safe and happy. I can not recommend Buckingham House highly enough.
