When I came up to visit my aunt and uncle I was always delighted to visit my aunty who was a resident. She was always happy and very well looked after. The staff were always very pleasant and very helpful. If I had to go into a care home, I would love to consider this one. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and kind words. I will share this with the team. Kind Regards.
Bright, friendly, homely well-maintained place. First-class care for our loved family members. Wonderful staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your positive review, I will share this with the team. Kind Regards.
The staff are absolutely great. Without exception, they are very friendly, always have time for a chat and build a good rapport with their residents and their families who visit. We have seen Mum become more cheeky, with more smiles, since moving in. She gets on well with both the staff and other residents.
Ashbourne Lodge is a warm, caring home and I would not hesitate to recommend them to other families.
We know Mum is well cared for and treated with respect. We have no worries.
Thank you so much for your kind words and review. I will share your feedback with the staff. Kind Regards, Jim.
My father-in-law was in Ashbourne Lodge for 18 months and my sister has been here for 8 years. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and kindness that is the characterisation of the operation here. The manager runs a very good operation and all his staff are always friendly and caring. We never worry about how my sister is being treated. We know she is receiving the best of care as did my father-in-law previously.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and kind words, it really means so much to us, I will celebrate your review with the team. Kind Regards.
My mums home was in Ashbourne Lodge for nearly six years and I am extremely grateful for the care she received during that time. She sadly passed away recently and at what was a very distressing time for our family, I found the staff to be very supportive, caring and professional. She was cared for with compassion and dignity and I felt with genuine affection from the staff involved.
Thank you so much for your kind words, our thoughts are with you and your family and we are here if you need anything in the future. We will share your kind words with the team. Kind Regards.
Overall experience is good. The staff are excellent. My mother has settled in well, is clean and well cared for.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kind Regards.
My mother resided at Ashbourne Lodge for nearly 6 years. The staff have consistently treated her with care and kindness. She was very happy there. She passed very recently and I felt incredibly supported by all the staff. It was clear they genuinely cared about her. I have only ever seen all the residents treated with compassion and dignity. The home is always clean and it maintains excellent facilities. There are always plenty of activities for the residents and the staff engages everyone and gently encourages participation. I was very grateful that we chose Ashbourne Lodge for my mum's care.
Hi Nikki, thank you for your positive feedback and kind words. Our thoughts are with you all. Kind Regards.
My sister was young, with a very rare diagnosis. Care was for the person that my sister was, not just the home's customer. The staff were proactive in gaining greater knowledge of her disease and implementing a specific and tailored care regime. They made so many little dedicated touches that they had found out or asked for about my sister, from room decoration to birthday cake icing to music playlists and clothes and hairstyles. All these touches were deeply personal and made my sister's last months of life as happy as they could be. The staff gave her as much independence, physical and mental, as they possibly could, even when that encroached on their work, to ensure she had a full and fulfilling life. There was great empathy throughout and, in her last days, she died with dignity with the utmost care for her needs and the needs of the family. Thank you, Ashbourne Lodge.
Thank you for your kind words. It was a privilege to look after your sister. Kind regards, the manager and the team.
Our family would like to thank every single member of the wonderful staff at Ashbourne Lodge. Our mother has received the best possible care we could have hoped for, particularly during the last few days of her life. The staff work as an amazing team and looked after our mother and our family with great kindness, support, clear information, affection, warmth, expertise and sensitivity.
Thank you for your review and kind words. We wish you and your family all the best for the future. Kind regards, Manager.
We do not believe Mum could have received better care for her last 18 months and the family thank everyone at Ashbourne Lodge who cared for her.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We appreciate the feedback and I will share this with the Team. Kind Regards.
My husband and I are very happy with the care offered at Ashbourne Lodge. I would mention in particular the food which is prepared freshly each day. It is wholesome and varied and is not obviously dependent on pre-prepared goods and tins. The staff show commitment to their roles and are ever patient even under, at times, difficult circumstances.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it, I will let the kitchen staff know how happy you are with the meals, hope to see you soon. Kind Regards.
I am impressed with the proactivity of the staff in dealing with issues, particularly in relation to getting healthcare issues addressed promptly and effectively; for example arranging appointments for hearing tests. This proactive approach gives me confidence that minor issues do not develop into major problems.
Thank you for leaving us such positive feedback, we do really appreciate it, we look forward to seeing you soon. Kind regards, Jim.
My sister-in-law was very young and had an extremely rapid cruel disease, from diagnosis she lived six months. Those six months were hideous and very traumatic for the family.
For my sister-in-law, she could not have been cared for or looked after any better. The home and staff did so many extra things to give her a quality of life that she would not otherwise have been able to have. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We really appreciate it and I will share your kind words with all the team. Kind Regards.
We feel that we are always listened to and that great care is taken to treat our mum and the other residents with sensitivity, knowledge and a clear understanding of their individual personalities and needs.
We take great comfort in the fact that she is being looked after so well.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and kind words. We really appreciate it. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kind Regards.
I would highly recommend Ashbourne Lodge to all. The care my nana receives on a daily basis is consistently exceptional. The care staff are extremely kind and compassionate at all times and treat residents with the utmost respect and dignity.
Thank you for your kind words; we really appreciate it. We hope to see you soon. Kind Regards.
I had a very warm welcome at Ashbourne Lodge where the knowledgeable and supportive staff helped me to understand how the care system supports those with dementia. I was delighted with the way my aunt settled into this friendly and stylish home. It is so well equipped and decorated and also has a vibrant team of dedicated staff whom I have already got to know. They obviously know my aunt already and engage with her to make each day a happy one. I am very impressed by the variety of activities which are organised and the wonderful, natural way that staff interact with the residents, taking time to get to know each one. I have seen staff dealing with all sorts of situations in a caring and calm way. The staff go out of their way to provide specific tailored care for each resident and as a result, give great service.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will share the wonderful praise and feedback to all the staff here at Ashbourne Lodge. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kind regards.
I have nothing but praise for the wonderful staff at Ashbourne Lodge. My parents moved from another care home and I wish we'd made the decision sooner - we had no idea care could be so good. All of the staff, without exception, are incredibly welcoming and kind, their patience is remarkable, their approach to difficult situations is amazing, they proactively seek to improve all they offer to Mum and Dad and everything is done with a smile, compassion and respect. As well as excelling in their care for the residents, many of the staff are very generous with their time to support the family - an email after Dad has gone to bed to reassure us that he is peaceful, time to discuss and understand difficult circumstances, fixing replacement parts on a wheelchair before I've even found the instructions, and so on. The home is run extremely efficiently and the office staff respond promptly and appropriately to all requests. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for taking your time to submit a review for us we really appreciate your feedback and kind words. Kind regards.
There are so many activities available and different areas that the residents can use to socialise/relax. It has a really friendly and homely atmosphere and not clinical at all which a lot of other care homes have.
Having booked a dual residential/nursing care home, we knew that it would suit Dad's needs as his illness progressed without having to move him. It also meant that in his last few days, he could stay in the care home, being looked after by the highly skilled staff in his own room rather than having to go into hospital. The staff were wonderful, caring and supportive of Dad but also of us during this difficult time and their kindness and love shown will always be held dear to us.
Thank you for your kind words. We really appreciate the positive feedback. Kind regards, Jim.
I would highly recommend Ashbourne Lodge to family and friends. From the enquiry process to securing a bed for my father, it was a positive and supportive experience. My father has received exceptional care. His dignity and happiness have been at the centre of his needs being met. All the staff have been approachable and friendly. All updates and meetings attended have been done in a sensitive way. When visiting my father, it was a pleasure to see all the staff interacting with my father and all the residents in a respectful way. Thank you all!
Kind Regards.
The care my father received during his time at Ashbourne Lodge was extraordinary. All the staff care immensely and are kind, and compassionate and have infinite time to spend with the residents and families. During the last days of my father's life, their empathy was incredible.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback and kind words.
