My mother is being very well looked after at Ashbourne Lodge which gives me great peace of mind after caring for her myself previously. She says the carers are all lovely, very helpful and kind and I can see that myself when I visit. Mum is being supported to try and eat more and to manage all aspects of her COPD in order to help her live comfortably. Every care is being taken to safeguard the residents in the current pandemic and I would be happy to recommend Ashbourne Lodge to anyone looking for care for their relatives.

I just discovered this site and would like to review Ashbourne Lodge as my grandfather was here for several weeks on multiple occasions for respite. I cannot say enough about how great it was. My grandad sadly passed away last year but whilst he was staying at Ashbourne Lodge he was so well looked after and comfortable that we felt very comforted and reassured he was well cared for. I would recommend Ashbourne Lodge to everyone who has a relative in need of wonderful care

Ashbourne Lodge was there when we needed them most. They have provided respite care at a critical time to the highest standards that we could wish for. Those team members that provide the love, care, and kindness are Angels.
Thank you for the lovely review the staff really appreciate the comments.
Very good all round. Looked after mum.
My mum was recently admitted to Ashbourne Lodge care home for end of life care, and my husband and I came up from Hertfordshire with our daughters to visit Mum. The circumstances have been difficult recently due to coronavirus, but the staff were so kind and understanding. Mum was very well cared for and was clean and comfortable. She sadly passed away yesterday, and my Dad, husband and I visited more frequently towards the end. Each time we came, we were greeted by compassionate and caring staff. When Mum finally passed away, we were so well looked after by one particular lady who gave us all the time we needed and even brought us a cup of tea. We will always be grateful that Mum and all of our family received such good care at a very difficult time, and this will help us through the grieving process. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are always happy to support the family in difficult times. It was a pleasure to know your Mum and its lovely to hear that the care we provided was so appreciated.
Mum came to Ashbourne Lodge Care Home in July for end of life care. We were all treated with respect and care and looked after with much compassion when she passed away. We shall always be grateful for their respect, care and concern for Mum and all her family.
Thank you for your kind words about the help and support we gave your mum. We strive to treat all our residents and their relatives and friends with care and compassion at all times.
My grandfather can into Ashbourne Lodge for 2 weeks respite. He was extremely well cared for and loved the food. The management were wonderful. As he was leaving, he booked three more dates to come and stay.
Granddad came in for respite for two weeks. He settled very quickly, this was due to how the staff made him feel. They were kind and very friendly towards him. Within the two weeks of being Ashbourne Lodge Granddad has become more like his happy self again. I believe this was due to the kind-hearted staff and the interaction with others. When Grandad was due to leave he said that he would have no worries about coming back as it was a lovely place to stay.
This is my first visit to Ashbourne Court and I have to say that from walking in, the staff have been amazing. The comfort afforded to the residents is outstanding. The high proportion of staff to residents is superb. We spent 4 hours or so here and couldn't find any faults whatsoever. Keep up the excellent standards.
Thank you for your lovely comments about Ashbourne Lodge.
My mother was a resident at Ashbourne Lodge for over 5 years and it truly was her home from home which was a philosophy strongly held by the team working there. She had a lovely room filled with her own personal belongings making a true home for her. The communal areas in the home are lovely, roomy airy areas with lots of different places to sit and talk to other residents, including a lovely garden space, as well as to look out of the windows to see the world outside. The dining room is lovely and food choices excellent and good quality. The home hosts a variety of events and residents can choose to participate or not. Mum's health and care needs changed over the years and the staff expertly adjusted their input to match her care requirements. The management and staff were excellent and included Mum in discussions and decisions about her care. Mum recently passed away and the team went well above and beyond with their care, compassion and professionalism during this very difficult time.
Thank you very much for your lovely review of the home. We were honoured to be able to support you and your family through this difficult time.
When my mother-in-law came to stay and she really enjoyed her time here. She had activities to keep her occupied and the meals were excellent. She'd be very happy to stay again if required.
Staff very nice and helpful and good food, etc.
Food looks good, drinks always available. Visitors are welcome any time of day. Rooms are spacious and residents can take personal belongings.
Activities are varied, residents are encouraged to take part.
Parking is good and we had easy access to the rooms.
We all get well treated by all staff. Varied activities, all good.
I enjoy the activities, especially the music and singing.
Staff are attentive and friendly. Rooms are modern and large. The whole care home is recently refurbished so looks modern and clean. Lots of activities take place. Organised and efficient care.
I couldn't fault Ashbourne Lodge. The staff are friendly and very tentative. The staff take pride in the care they provide. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a care home.
Looked after during the day when we couldn’t help her at home.
I'm very happy staying in this home. They look after me very well, the home is very lovely and comfortable. I also enjoy joining in with the activities.

I started with Milford Care in April 2011 as a Care Assistant and then worked hard to progress within the company to reach my current role of Home Manager at Ashbourne Lodge, a position I have held since the Home opened in 2014. I find my job so rewarding and would not change it for the world as here at Ashbourne Lodge my team and I strive to make a difference to everyone who comes to stay with us.
