The care, love, and attention my mum receives here is second to none. As her daughter, I am totally happy that she is enjoying being here. The peace of mind this gives me is wonderful knowing that should anything happen to my mum in my absence I know it will be dealt with in a caring and professional
manner. The staff really are 5-star as are the facilities.

Dad came for respite in March 2021. It became clear that he would be unable to return to his home. After a great deal of decision-making, I chose Eastbourne House as the right place for him. It took dad a good 3-4 months to settle. I am happy to say he is well cared for. The staff on his floor show
complete compassion and communication is good.

I came here for two weeks respite following knee surgery. Because of the current situation, I had to isolate for the entire time. I could not have wished for anywhere better to spend my 'isolation'. The care I received over the whole time was exceptional - I could not be happier.

My mother continues to receive outstanding care at Eastbourne House. There is a warm, friendly engagement from all staff members that I have met during my visits. The home is spotlessly clean and is a safe and secure environment. My mother is treated with respect and dignity by all staff and the activity

First-rate care home. My mother is extremely well looked after and she is happy here. The staff are highly competent, hardworking and friendly. The building is well-designed and well-lit with wonderful views of the sea and the lighthouse. Highly recommend.

Eastbourne House is very well staffed with trained and experienced staff. They are always cheerful and positive and follow their procedures closely. This reassures me that my mother is receiving very good care.
However, when it was time to move her to a different room, this did not go well. The move
was not explained to this resident and she did not like the new arrangement. It took 5 days to swap a bed and a chair round to make her more comfortable.

My mother has received excellent care during the past four years. The staff are dedicated, caring and work so hard. It is one big family. All the staff from the management to the kitchen, cleaning, laundry, activities, office, hairdressers, and especially the carers all strive to give the very best

Eastbourne House is a very special place. I live abroad and the care my mum has received is without fault. To see her face light up when staff are with her and the respect and patience they show her. The lady I visit only has relatives living abroad. At Eastbourne House, she is treated and cared for like a family member. The staff go above and beyond what is expected of them. I cannot rate the care home and its staff highly enough.

As I have not seen the room, it is probably fair to say that it has been described to me as small, but with all amenities required. The food seems to be of a good standard with care being taken to ensure variety and nutritional value. My sister has settled in well and is enjoying the company of like-minded
ladies. She has found most of the activities interesting, but does not always participate (her choice)!

My mother has been a frequent resident of Eastbourne House since October 2016. Apart from this year, I have been a frequent visitor and have always been impressed with the overall decor and cleanliness of her surroundings. I have had the pleasure of dealing with most of the carers and have always found
them capable, friendly and attentive. I am confident that she is very well looked after. I have just visited her for the first time since March this year (covid). In her own words, she is very happy in her home. She looked really healthy and comfortable, and I was most relieved about this. The manager and her administrative staff have been always very approachable and helpful whenever called upon for any reason. Overall, my mother and I are both very happy with Eastbourne House.

I have visited mum twice now following a long period of no visits taking place. I was very happy to see mum clean, tidy and very cheerful and positive. She only ever speaks well of the staff and the care they give her, and despite the difficulties of the last year, she is in good health and spirits
which I am deeply thankful for. The home's efforts to safeguard residents during the pandemic have been excellent.

My mam has been a resident at Eastbourne House Care Home since April 2020. The staff have all been so professional, friendly, approachable and informative. My mam has improved physically and mentally, and seems very happy and settled. It has been a difficult time for everyone in the pandemic situation

“For me, kind care means showing empathy, dignity and diplomacy in everything we do.”
Debbie has gained over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Debbie closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Eastbourne House.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Debbie remarked: “The most rewarding part of my job is definitely having the opportunity to make a difference to our Residents’ lives.”
Away from work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, especially on their caravan holidays.
