All staff are excellent. Very respectful of my mother and kind. The place is kept very clean, which of course is important. Best care home in the area by far.

Having visited this home on previous occasions I always am struck by the warmth, cleanliness and happy staff. The family atmosphere is easy to feel and the staff do not appear stressed and are always happy to help. The facilities and standards are easy to see and read. The home appears safe and certainly, the residents we saw were content and happy.

My mother enjoyed her last three months at Eastbourne. She had a pleasant room with a large patio door that went onto the garden, which gave her constant interest. She enjoyed interacting with the staff, who were all friendly and attentive. She enjoyed the food and the social activities. To me, the atmosphere was always calm and considerate. Thank you for your support to me and my mum though her last few days.

When choosing a care home end of life care is not always the first thing that comes to mind. The end of life care at Eastbourne House was outstanding for my mother and also for the care and help offered to me. The coordination by the home with the Practice Nurse and District Nurses were also extremely good.

I witnessed the care sector performing at its very best despite the genuine pressure they undoubtedly face.

My aunt was reluctant to go to any care home but the welcome the staff gave her, and the care and attention she received helped her to quickly settle in. She loved the sea view from her room. She enjoyed the social activities (and the hairdresser). When her time came the staff took great care of her and the family who were with her. A lovely place to stay.

Very accommodating for my mother's admission. The staff were extremely caring, attentive and helpful throughout. The facilities were extremely good, offering a high standard of comfort and respect for the individual's needs. Individually the admissions team and senior staff were approaching open and kept us updated on my mother's care. There was some issue at times with my mother's meal preps for her dietary needs.

My father lived at Eastbourne House for the last 11 months of his life, sadly dying in December 2022. Throughout his stay, all of the staff were simply wonderful with him.
The carers were so thoughtful and considerate in all their dealings with him, respected and preserved his dignity as he became increasingly frail and throughout his last days.
I cannot speak too highly of the care and attention he received throughout the period of his stay. He was very comfortable and very happy indeed at Eastbourne House.

Thank you to everyone involved, from the cleaning and laundry staff to the kitchen staff, carers and administration/management. You all do a marvellous job.

On the whole, very good and lovely food! On coming for my week's respite care on 20th July at approx 6 pm, to my disappointment, I found no dinner awaiting me! Had been originally told that dinner would be given to me and so I refused a hospital meal before I left as I was looking forward to a lovely meal on arrival at Eastbourne House! Later on, before retiring to bed, I buzzed for a last drink but no one came - ended up in my dressing gown at my door hoping to attract someone's attention which I did! Sometimes as was explained to me, staff could take a while to answer buzzer as happened sometimes!

Mam spent the last 12 months of her life at Eastbourne House. She was treated with incredible kindness and lots of care and attention as needed. But more than that, the staff also monitored my own mental health and did everything they could to ensure that we were reassured and helped where necessary. I can't praise the people here enough. I'll never forget them.

I was immediately impressed by the warmth and friendly way in which I was received. My accommodation is immaculate and is kept that way on a daily basis. The staff, whatever position they work, are the most helpful and thoughtful and all the time work together so very well. They all look so happy doing their everyday tasks, most importantly, have time to listen to us residents too, and are happy to do whatever requests we make.

Albeit restricted by covid rules, I have found the conditions and surroundings provided for residents to be of a very high standard. Provision has been made for Activities but covid rules have limited my ability to see them or take a view on the likely benefit to residents. This should be seen as a priority as covid 19 restrictions are eased. Thank you to all concerned.
