My mam has settled into Eastbourne and relates well to all staff. I feel that staff go the extra mile to ensure that she has the care she requires and the extra attention for her particular needs. My mam loves hugs, company, dancing, good laughs and daily activities and the carers know this! They talk
to her about her family and reassure her when she feels anxious. They have all worked so hard during the pandemic to keep all residents safe and have been well-led by their manager. I really appreciate their efforts! Thank you to you all.

My mother, who can be very ‘challenging’ has been living at Eastbourne House for about a year now, and I have nothing but praise for the way the staff patiently deal with her and provide her with the care and most importantly the company and conversation she needs. So thanks to all concerned, it must
have been - and remains - a very difficult time for all the staff during the current pandemic but they appear to be coping superbly. I would recommend Eastbourne House without hesitation.

I can speak for myself and my family that Eastbourne House is wonderful! My dad is happier than he has been for a long time since arriving at Eastbourne House. The standard of care is second to none.
We get regular updates about what is going on at Eastbourne House, and of how Dad is. When we phone
to check up on him, we always have a detailed summary on what is going on for Dad with activities, outings etc (pre-COVID).
During the pandemic we have also regular updates on health - and are incredibly impressed that all tests continue to come back negative - staff and residents included.
Eastbourne House have facilitated FaceTime calls with Dad - and it's so great to see him happy and safe. He has a phone nearby so we can chat to him regularly. Eastbourne House also facilitated for Dad to 'virtually' attend his sister's funeral. We can't wait to see him in person.

The care staff have been very helpful and supportive, particularly in arranging out-patient appointments and travel to and from hospitals. They have shown interest in items I have been knitting and have helped me with posting 'business' letters and cards.

My wife has been resident here for 2 years, and during that time my daily close observations have given one confidence that she is receiving the best of care. Carers, who over time, have informed close relationships with each of the dementia suffers. Such closeness takes time to develop; seeing the
same faces on a daily basis brings about a sense of security and safeness to even the worst affected, and, of course, the family too benefit from knowing that their loved one is in safe hands by seeing the familiar faces of carers, who, to the residents is just another member of the family.

Very good, staff lovely. Everything was good. Only one problem, a lady close to my mum's room was in a lot of distress and screamed quite chillingly, very upsetting to listen to. The poor soul should not have been there.

My mother has been at Eastbourne House for the past two years. Her care has been amazing. She enjoyed all the music events - dancing away to songs.
Unfortunately, she has had to leave and go into nursing care, otherwise, I would have been more than happy to keep her at Eastbourne House if she has

My neighbour has only recently become a resident at Eastbourne House and so far I have visited her twice so my views are limited to these occasions. However, my overall impression of her care is excellent as are the facilities available to her. The home itself is well situated, immaculate and staff

“For me, kind care means showing empathy, dignity and diplomacy in everything we do.”
Debbie has gained over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Debbie closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Eastbourne House.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Debbie remarked: “The most rewarding part of my job is definitely having the opportunity to make a difference to our Residents’ lives.”
Away from work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, especially on their caravan holidays.
