Eastbourne House Care Home

My mam has been a resident at Eastbourne House Care Home since April 2020. The staff have all been so professional, friendly, approachable and informative. My mam has improved physically and mentally, and seems very happy and settled. It has been a difficult time for everyone in the pandemic situation - the staff have been very supportive, and I would like to thank them all for their dedicated and genuine care.

The team at mum's home go above and beyond. Mum looks happy and cared for, even during this time of COVID. We have a large family and the carers do everything they can to keep us informed. Appreciate them very much.

The care my mother has received has been very good. All the staff are helpful and friendly. She has a lovely room and the meals are good.

My mam has settled into Eastbourne and relates well to all staff. I feel that staff go the extra mile to ensure that she has the care she requires and the extra attention for her particular needs. My mam loves hugs, company, dancing, good laughs and daily activities and the carers know this! They talk to her about her family and reassure her when she feels anxious. They have all worked so hard during the pandemic to keep all residents safe and have been well-led by their manager. I really appreciate their efforts! Thank you to you all.

Extremely pleased with all aspects of care that was given to my mother. all the staff were excellent in both care and help and were pleasant at all times. We wish the staff a big thank you for looking after my mother with such care.

My mother, who can be very ‘challenging’ has been living at Eastbourne House for about a year now, and I have nothing but praise for the way the staff patiently deal with her and provide her with the care and most importantly the company and conversation she needs. So thanks to all concerned, it must have been - and remains - a very difficult time for all the staff during the current pandemic but they appear to be coping superbly. I would recommend Eastbourne House without hesitation.

The care staff have been very helpful and supportive, particularly in arranging out-patient appointments and travel to and from hospitals. They have shown interest in items I have been knitting and have helped me with posting 'business' letters and cards.

Myself and my family all are extremely happy with the care, food and facilities that Eastbourne House offer. I just want to thank the staff for the kindness and professionalism caring for my mother and others. Eastbourne House must be the best care home in the North East, if not in the country. My wife has been resident here for 2 years, and during that time my daily close observations have given one confidence that she is receiving the best of care. Carers, who over time, have informed close relationships with each of the dementia suffers. Such closeness takes time to develop; seeing the same faces on a daily basis brings about a sense of security and safeness to even the worst affected, and, of course, the family too benefit from knowing that their loved one is in safe hands by seeing the familiar faces of carers, who, to the residents is just another member of the family.

Eastbourne House provides excellent care within comfortable and modern surroundings. The home is welcoming and the management and staff strive to involve relatives and friends in resident's care. Staff are observant and attentive. I have often witnessed their attempts to create a happy atmosphere, whether or not individual residents choose to take part in the many activities on offer.

Very good, staff lovely. Everything was good. Only one problem, a lady close to my mum's room was in a lot of distress and screamed quite chillingly, very upsetting to listen to. The poor soul should not have been there.

I am happy with the care my mother is receiving and feel I can relax knowing she is safe. She misses her home but the staff do their best to make Eastbourne House friendly and stimulating.

Unfortunately, she has had to leave and go into nursing care, otherwise, I would have been more than happy to keep her at Eastbourne House if she has been well enough.

We found the care given to our parents at Eastbourne House exemplary. The standard of accommodation is very high and the care and consideration shown by staff was very good, giving us great peace of mind, knowing they were well cared for.

Staff are angels.
