Over all time De Lucy House has 99 reviews.
The care staff, both day and night are kind, thoughtful and treat the residents as individuals, with respect and dignity. Every member of staff, whatever their role is friendly, smiles and says hello.
The facilities are modern, clean, light and well maintained. Every part of the house is used and the accessible garden is a favourite. The staff take pride in their work and their environment.
There are activities to suit everyone, residents can join in with as much as they wish. New ideas are often tried, as well as finding new things to celebrate. Residents and staff love a party!
Knowing Mum is happy and well cared for is a great feeling for all the family.
It is our pleasure to have your mother in our care, Being part of her next chapter in life is an honour. She has settled in very well, finding more friendships. Her kind and caring nature has been supportive to others. Thank you for your wonderful review and Welcome to the De Lucy family.
Entire home is immaculate. Never smells. Laundry facilities are excellent. Care and attentiveness very good. Sometimes the food could be better (warmer or fully cooked, softer) but this has been notified. All in all excellent all round. Entertainment, friendliness, choice of outings and activities.
We are delighted to hear your kind comments about the cleanliness of the home, the laundry facilities and the care and attentiveness shown to your loved one. It is especially encouraging to know that you value the friendly...
De Lucy provided nanny with the highest standards of care and concern and made her time at the home as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much to ask from the staff and they all treated her like one of the family. We were also made to feel very welcome to visit whenever we pleased. The peace and dignity she received was perfect.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a lovely review for us, It was our pleasure to care for our Nanny.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review, lovely to see you in when visiting the home.
The care staff and management are first class. My mum and dad have just moved in and the transition could not have been easier. WIthin a week their registration for new doctors has been handled, and their medications fully managed. I cannot thank the staff enough. Great job!
Thank you for your kind words and lovely reflection on your experience of our service. We will share your feedback with the team.
My Mother of 97 has spent the final 2 years of her life with De Lucy House. She was a reluctant resident to begin with, but was offer so much care and love it was impossible for her not to settle and be comfortable.
She has now passed away with so much dignity and with such peace.
I will forever be grateful to the whole team for all that they have done for my Mother and Myself
Thank you for your kind words we will ensure your feedback is shared with the team, our thoughts are with you at this time. It was our pleasure to care for your mother in the way she wished, please do come and see us all when your passing, kettle is always on.
My dads autumn years were filled with care, love and friendship. De Lucy's is a family where not only the resident is made to feel welcome but also the extended family. All staff from reception, management, care domestic and laundry could not have been more helpful. We as a family are truly grateful.
Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to feedback on your experience, It was our pleasure to care for your Dad.
Both my parents have been at De Lucy for nearly 4 years. Although they have very different needs, both are treated with kindness, compassion and care. The staff are brilliant and take their time to fully understand the requirements of all the residents. Many go beyond what their job requires of them.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a lovely review. It is our pleasure to care for both of your parents.
Always when I visited I was impressed with all aspects of how the home was run. Calmness, professionalism, staff on hand to answer any questions. A nursing or care home is only as good as the staff working in it. The staff I came into contact with were lovely. Even more so at the end of life time.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a lovely review, We will ensure that the staff receive your kind words and feedback.
Overall this is an excellent care home with very kind and friendly staff who are very helpful and good humoured. The home is very professionally managed with very organised activities and good support from the local NHS. Residents are treated with patience and compassion. Although getting entry as a visitor can sometimes be slow and the food is apparently not always serviced as hot it is could be. I am overall very pleased with the service provided. I do however wish it was less expensive.
Thank you for your review and taking the time to feedback. We will take your comments onboard and look to improve the service where you have highlighted.
I cannot recommend De Lucy Care Home enough. From the day my great aunt moved in she was given compassion and care. The manager is lovely and the staff are amazing and kind. The home itself is spotless clean and the amount of activity's on offer is amazing. I visited everyday and was made to feel at home and like one of the family. When my aunt sadly passed away the manager sat with me and reassured me all would be ok. The respect they showed my aunt after her passing was also way beyond what i expected. I cannot thank them enough for all they done for my aunt and also me.
Your care of my mother was faultless. Many thanks to every member of your team. Also for the care shown to our family.
It was our pleasure to care for your mother. Thank you for your review.
My Godmother felt comfortable and safe at De Lucy House. She was very fond of her carers, and throughout the food was excellent. She was very impressed with the management and thought the home was well run (an accolade indeed from a retired Head Teacher!) I was reassured that my Godmother was happy and well looked after - staff were caring, and respectful and maintained her dignity to the end. She had a wonderful send-off!
Thank you for your kind words, It was our pleasure to look after your godmother and she has left us all with wonderful memories. Take care.
This is the third home I have tried for my mother and finally, I know it's the last. The staff are all very friendly and professional. The food is varied and of a very good standard, unlike others we have stayed at. The manager and staff are all excellent. She has a very comfortable room and it is kept clean for her. All in all, I can finally relax.
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you are reassured that your mother is being well cared for in her new home.
Following advice from a hospital Doctor, I was able to come and live in De Lucy House over three and a half years ago now as I was unable to live on my own any longer, following the death of my husband in 2018 which led to my mental health illness. (Anxiety). It has been a joy for me to live here and I now look on De Lucy as my home, from which I never want to move. I was made to feel part of the De Lucy Family from the moment I was welcomed here and I have the reassurance that this can be my 'forever home', even if I can't afford to pay the fees any longer, thanks to a charity, which owns and runs our homes. I am given as much independence and support now as I need and want because thanks to God for using our amazing staff and carers, 90% of my mental health has been restored and my Physical health is good for my age too. So please don't hesitate to contact De LucyHouse. You'll be given the welcome that I was given and never regret it.
We are a family and very much so here to support each other, De Lucy where life begins again. Thank you for this wonderful review.
My mother has been a resident at De Lucy House for nearly 6 months. The management of De Lucy House is exceptional. Every aspect of care has been excellent and the staff couldn't do more for my mother or me. I would highly recommend De Lucy House.
Thank you for your kind words and lovely review, we will share with our staff team.
I would say De Lucy House doesn't feel like a care home, it feels like staying with family in a hotel but it's the staff that really make the place under the Manager's excellent leadership. All the staff got to know mum so well that they knew what was normal for her and how to get a smile from her whilst keeping her safe and well. It's not the cheapest care home in the area but I think it's the best quality and wouldn't hesitate to recommend De Lucy House to anyone who asks. Thank you so much for everything.
Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review, mum was a pleasure to look after during the time we cared for her here at De Lucy House.
My dad lives in DeLucy House and has done so for over 2years the care love and support he is shown are second to none he is supported in every way to make sure he can still live his life to the fullest our family is always made to feel very welcome and involved.
Thank you for your 5-star review, we appreciate your positive feedback.
The staff are so thoughtful and supportive and they all have a very positive attitude. The whole place has a very happy atmosphere.
Thank you for your 5 star review, we appreciate and value all feedback received.

My role is to manage the day to day running of the home and I am dedicated about ensuring that residents receive personalised care at all times. I find it incredibly rewarding to support residents and see them thrive as individuals.
