My great friend of 50 years suffered from dementia, eventually, she went into Abbey Wood Lodge. I visit her every day and I must say that all the staff are wonderful and so caring and the whole place is spotless. It is a real pleasure to visit. I would recommend Abbey Wood Lodge to anybody.

My wife became a resident at Abbey Wood Lodge due to her frailty. She feels happy here, I have been to have lunch with her. The food is excellent. It is very comfortable here and the staff are good.

I am very happy at Abbey Wood. I am content. The food is homemade and a good variety to suit all. My room is very comfortable and well-appointed. The staff are polite and helpful day and night. I like to have meals in the dining room with other residents. There are lots of activities for residents.

As a family, we have been very impressed with everything at Abbey Wood Lodge. My mother feels safe, supported and happy here. The staff are responsive, kind and patient. My mother loves the food, the social activities and the ambience of the setting. We are very happy with this choice.

Pleasant, clean airy surroundings. Caring, helpful, friendly staff. A high degree of professionalism. Very impressed from entering the building until we left. My friend looked peaceful, dressed appropriately and clean. Obviously felt at home with surroundings and staff.

I have found all staff from carers, reception and kitchen and maintenance to be very friendly and helpful. Also cleaning staff are very thorough.

I have been very pleased with the care given to mum. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The home is kept clean and is light and airy with an outdoor area which mum enjoys on warm days.
Mum tends not to partake in many activities as she is registered blind which is very limiting.
Mum doesn't
have much appetite but the food is OK apart from soggy vegetables.

My first experience of a care home and I was not sure what to expect. It was difficult at first as I did not know what to expect of the staff and management, but once I got to know the staff, they all seem quite happy to be here and this reflects on the care given to the residents. Overall a well run

My sister moved here from a previous care home in another area after the loss of her husband. She never went out alone and there were no activities. Having only been here for a few months she is now enjoying life and able to go out in the park alone.

My mum went into Abbey Wood Lodge on 21st October 2016. The care she receives is first class! She is extremely happy, loves the activities that are provided on a daily basis, especially singing.
She is looked after 24/7 and this gives her peace of mind.
The staff/management are wonderful. The food
is great since taking on a new chef. Her room is modern with ensuite shower - giving her dignity.
I have already recommended Abbey Wood Lodge to many people. The home is fantastic and is a credit to the owners.

All staff at Abbey Wood Lodge are caring and supportive, not just to the residents but also their families. I have had and continue to have wonderful support from them as I come to terms with the loss of my father and the fact that my mum now needs to be in care. They have listened to me and spent time
with me when I have found the situation very difficult to deal with. They have hugely supported mum, me and our family with the transition of moving into this stage of mums care.


Mum is treated with care, empathy and dignity and I know that when I leave her, she is with people who genuinely care and want what is best for her. This plays a vital role in our ability as a family to come to terms with the situation. I include ALL staff in this recommendation. The staff in the kitchen, laundry, cleaners and the handyman, all have a good friendly and caring attitude toward my mum, happy to stop and say hello and ask her how she is. This makes for a lovely homely and family feel to Abbey Wood Lodge.
