Your mum has settled in so well and is embracing all the lifestyle activities. It was a wonderful experience when she went to the stables and worked with the horses, one of her passions. I am the Lifestyles Lead at Anya Court. I started my journey as a carer on the day the home opened in 2014, working my way up to the lifestyles lead role.
I love my job organising meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities for the residents.
Also leading an enthusiastic, motivated team to help deliver excellent relationship-centred care.
I am passionate about residents engaging in the lifestyle choices they had before coming into the home and building strong relationships based on trust.
It is important to get to know strengths, passions and to understand each person’s needs and enable them to live the lives they want to and to do the things they want to do.
I truly believe that life does not stop when you move into a care home and anything is possible.
Anya Court is a vibrant, friendly, family feel home with a dedicated team, beautiful interiors and an impressive garden all of which makes me incredibly proud and privileged to work here.
