I flew in from Australia to spend two weeks with my dad. When I was at Anya Court I found the staff extremely helpful and could not do enough for Dad and myself. This included hanging pictures in his room, taking on a game activity I presented to Anya Court and then allowing me to join in the hog roast which was very enjoyable.

Reply from Stefanie Binning, Customer Relationship Manager at Hallmark Anya Court

Thank you for your lovely review, Paul, we were delighted you could join us for our spooky hog roast event and loved your game activity idea. Your father has become an integral part of our community. We look forward to your next visit. I will also pass on your kind words to the team.

She is really happy and contented. My family and myself are really satisfied and pleased with all the care and services she receives and we are secure in the knowledge she is safe and contented.

My mother stayed on a respite 14-day period, she was looked after and cared for well and got on with all carers in that respect. After she had worked her way around the complex she became very settled and was content. She enjoyed her stay and we hope to engage in further similar breaks in future. All in all very satisfactory all round. Thank you.

Reply from Michelle Sides, General Manager at Hallmark Anya Court

Many thanks for your kind words, Derek. We are so pleased your mum enjoyed her stay. Your mother was a joy to support. I will pass your comments on to the team. Short-term stays are so important whether that is just a break or recuperation following an operation or a taster before moving into a care home. We are so pleased we can offer this service. Thank you again.

My mum has been a resident at Anya Court for a number of years before, sadly, passing away in January. There was never a time when I doubted how safe and looked after she was.

Reply from Michelle Sides, General Manager at Hallmark Anya Court

Thank you for your feedback. Your mum is often remembered and knowing that our residents and families are secure in the knowledge their loved one is given the care they need and feel safe is so important. As always, so good to welcome you for your visits, our door is always open to you.

Mum was admitted to Anya Court at short notice as part of a respite package on release from hospital. From initial contact to admission and release I could not fault professionalism, compassion, and facilities within Anya Court. The support my mother received was first class and she was sad to leave at conclusion of a week's stay. She would have stayed longer but chose to move closer to family in the South East. I would commend Anya Court to anyone seeking care for a family member.

Reply from Michelle Sides, General Manager at Hallmark Anya Court

Thank you so much for your feedback and very kind words. We really loved having your Mum stay with us and are so pleased we supported her in her recovery. It was a very sad day when she left, however, being close to her family was really important. Your Mum was such a joy to be with. I hope very much she is settling down in the South East.

Every single staff member I've had had contact with either in person or over the phone has been extremely helpful and supportive. There is a consistently warm and welcoming atmosphere around the home. The staff members obviously work well together as a team to support residents and family alike. My husband has been a Resident at Anya Court care home since December 2021. The manager and the managing assistant made my husband's transfer from a very unsuitable care home he was admitted to by the Hospital discharge team. I am very grateful that he was able to leave and be resident at a very nice and suitable care home. Anya Court is good in every way, cleanliness exceptional, good food and helpful caring staff. Visiting is made very easy and safe with testing aprons and gloves provided to help control the spread of Covid. I highly recommend Anya Court.

Reply from Michelle Sides, General Manager at Hallmark Anya Court

Thank you for your feedback and very kind words. It is never easy transferring from the hospital and navigating your way through the care system. It was good to sit down with you and discuss your husband's needs and preferences to ensure we could support his care. It is so important we take time to ensure it is a decision you are happy with. Working with our families is so important.

From the first meeting, I found Anya Court to be helpful, caring, and understanding to both residents and family. An extremely clean and well-presented home and gardens. Management are always there to talk and to inform you about your relative and to help in any way possible. The head carers are fantastic and very caring and help to make sure relatives are happy and cared for. Most of the staff are very good. The reception team are fantastic. I rate Anya Court to be a top-rated care home.

I have been very pleased with the tastefulness of the home. Very elegant, and every member of the staff I have met has been exceptionally kind and helpful to me. I cannot speak too highly of everyone I have met and have enjoyed the company of many of the residents. My stay here has taken away any fear I have had of spending my last days in a 'home'!

Review from Oonagh T (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 March 2021 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

We had a very difficult emergency situation at home and I was unable to look after my father at the time. I had heard about Anya Court from my elderly neighbour who had stayed there. So I called them. The staff at Anya Court helped me every step of the way from arranging Covid testing, to quarantining my father, to getting him medical treatment. He had a very reassuring experience in the middle of a very difficult time. He felt very safe and cared for and staff went out of their way to keep me informed about how he was and keep me in touch with him every day. They were all kind, sensitive and very caring. Anya Court is like all care homes rather expensive but I had complete peace of mind through this difficult period for our family and I would not hesitate to use Anya Court's services again or to recommend them to anyone, their service was worth every penny and more.

Reply from Michelle Sides, General Manager at Hallmark Anya Court

Dear Oonagh, it was our absolute pleasure to support you and your father in your emergency and at a very difficult time let alone in the middle of a Pandemic. Despite the current difficult Covid situation my Nan, who has been in the care home for 3 months, has been cared for with kindness making her transition from home as seamless as possible. The staff are very dedicated to looking after the residents and having kept the home Covid free for the last 10 months is a credit to them. My experience is that of a well-run care home with attentive and dedicated staff who undoubtedly make all efforts to ensure the residents are safe and properly looked after. No hesitation in recommending to other families for the care of their loved ones.

Review from Wendy P (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 8 January 2021 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I have been involved with Anya Court for just over 2 years now as a Power of Attorney and we got off to rather a bad start but the improvements made recently in communication and the overall running of the home are amazing. Covid has made everything very difficult but the managers have kept the home and residents clear of infection and that is nothing short of miraculous. The residents are happy, clean and well cared for, food is plentiful and varied, rooms are kept clean and tidy - again a very difficult job especially on the dementia floor. I have also noticed how the atmosphere of the team has changed over the last couple of months and feel sure that this can only be attributed. I did have one or two concerns about information not being correct despite me giving the right information and also asking for it to be changed when I found it to be incorrect but I feel that any remaining issues will be dealt with in due course when we all get "back to normal" whenever that may be.

Reply from Michelle Sides, Michelle Sides at Hallmark Anya Court
