We had a very difficult emergency situation at home and I was unable to look after my father at the time. I had heard about Anya Court from my elderly neighbour who had stayed there. So I called them. The staff at Anya Court helped me every step of the way from arranging Covid testing, to quarantining
my father, to getting him medical treatment. He had a very reassuring experience in the middle of a very difficult time. He felt very safe and cared for and staff went out of their way to keep me informed about how he was and keep me in touch with him every day. They were all kind, sensitive and very caring. Anya Court is like all care homes rather expensive but I had complete peace of mind through this difficult period for our family and I would not hesitate to use Anya Court's services again or to recommend them to anyone, their service was worth every penny and more.

All the staff at Anya Court are patient, understanding and most of all caring, without exception. They made my father very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. This is the home by which all others should be benchmarked.

Despite the current difficult Covid situation my Nan, who has been in the care home for 3 months, has been cared for with kindness making her transition from home as seamless as possible. The staff are very dedicated to looking after the residents and having kept the home Covid free for the last 10
months is a credit to them. My experience is that of a well-run care home with attentive and dedicated staff who undoubtedly make all efforts to ensure the residents are safe and properly looked after. No hesitation in recommending to other families for the care of their loved ones.

Very nice decor and comfortable surroundings the main thing that I also wouldn't be keen on is hot meals being served on lukewarm or cold plates. Lovely gardens. Everyone I have met has been very nice.

I have been involved with Anya Court for just over 2 years now as a Power of Attorney and we got off to rather a bad start but the improvements made recently in communication and the overall running of the home are amazing. Covid has made everything very difficult but the managers have kept the home
and residents clear of infection and that is nothing short of miraculous. The residents are happy, clean and well cared for, food is plentiful and varied, rooms are kept clean and tidy - again a very difficult job especially on the dementia floor. I have also noticed how the atmosphere of the team has changed over the last couple of months and feel sure that this can only be attributed. I did have one or two concerns about information not being correct despite me giving the right information and also asking for it to be changed when I found it to be incorrect but I feel that any remaining issues will be dealt with in due course when we all get "back to normal" whenever that may be.

My father has been at Anya Court for 3-years. Throughout the challenges of 2020, the home has worked very hard to make sure that everyone - residents, staff and visitors when allowed - is safe. I miss being able to see my dad like I used to but I am so grateful that he is being well looked after. The
team at Anya Court has been brilliant at ensuring residents have safe activities during the pandemic and helping them keep in touch with their families.
The Hallmark team has got the difficult balance right between safety and ensuring residents can see their relatives. In the summer I could visit in an outside area and am now able to visit in an indoor visiting suite. Although these visits felt strange at first, the team has done everything to make the areas comfortable and as normal as possible.
The management at Anya Court share information readily with relatives and involve us in the decisions about visiting, testing and vaccinations.
I know my dad is in safe hands.

My 89-year-old father needed respite care, at short notice, following two and a half weeks in the hospital.
The staff at Anya Court were very supportive with the transfer from hospital to their care, the process made very difficult because of Covid 19 restrictions.
The care and attention my father
received was excellent. My father was very happy with his care, the staff and the very comfortable surroundings.
The staff were accessible and supportive to us as a family, which meant a great deal as we could not visit my father. When visiting was reinstated, the arrangements were well organised and very safe for all involved.

Mum has now been resident at Anya Court for 5 years and is well cared for and looked after. She suffers from dementia. The carers and other support staff at Anya Court have been sympathetic to this, and always helpful in keeping us up to date with her needs and general welfare. A cheerful demeanour
has always greeted us when phoning or visiting, even in these current times, when we can do no more than delivering flowers and have a short visit in a specially prepared visitors suite, to keep the residents' environment safe and free from Covid. I would have no hesitation in recommended Anya Court as a home for your loved one when they require additional care in advancing years.

Mum has been on Ballad two-plus years, is usually happy, enjoying music-based activities. Staff are kind, understand Mum’s needs and we are sad when staff, who are especially good at engaging with Mum, leave. We are very impressed with the response to Covid; residents and staff have been kept safe by
introducing lockdown before the government did, ensuring staff had PPE, instigated RelsApp to share messages and photos with Mum, iPads to FaceTime when carers have one to one time with residents. New activities devised as usual events can’t occur due to lockdown. Staff work under difficult circumstances and we, as a family, truly appreciate this. Admin issues concerns: irregular receipt of Mum’s weekly email updates/FaceTime calls, care plan reviews identified as incomplete when all information has been given. Communication within and outside of the home not always joined up so doesn’t deliver to expectations. A change of management, with interim arrangements before final recruitment, might be a contributory factor.

Mum has found Anya Court to be a caring and comfortable environment. She is full of praise for the staff and their approach to her needs. Unfortunately, her stay has been during the Coronavirus crisis, so she has not experienced 'normal' life at Anya. However, she feels safe, secure and well cared for.

The staff at Anya Court have been amazing with Dad. Dad has complex needs and the home have worked hard to make him as comfortable and as happy as possible. They have taken the time to really get to know him, from all his (wonderful) stories from the past to his favourite aftershave. Chatting to the
staff, you really get the impression that they care about the residents. Even at his grumpiest, Dad can be brought around by the excellent food. The grounds are beautiful and are an excellent way to allow Dad some fresh air as he is unable to leave the grounds with his complex needs. The Cafe and garden have also been a godsend for visits and Dad's visitors always let me know how impressed they are with the home. We have obviously been unable to see Dad in person for several months now, but I know they are doing their best to keep him safe and well. They have ensured we can have Facetime chats and have kept us updated at least weekly.

From the first time I contacted Anya Court Care Home the manager was so helpful and understanding of my situation. Unfortunately, my father was not in Anya Court for long but during his time there the staff treated him with dignity and respect. All the staff were so kind, caring and supportive to both
my father and the family. Anya Court is like a five-star hotel. It is clean and bright with great facilities and activities for the residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending Anya Court.

Home is really comfortable. Has good amenities to suit everyone. Rooms are well-appointed, with ensuite bathroom, easy chair and table to place client's TV. Clients also have room to put their own personal belongings in as well, to personalise it to their own taste. Food is well presented, with a variety
of choice. I have had dinner with my Mum on quite a few occasions and found the meals very adequate. Visitors can come and go as they wish There are no awkward restrictions, which I think makes a good atmosphere for residents and guests alike.

My dad moved to Anya Court at the beginning of December from another care home. Since being there he is always saying how happy he is. He particularly likes the fact that he has access to his own patio area and then the beautiful gardens. Hopefully, he will still be with us to enjoy these as the weather
improves. The level of care is excellent, with staff always at hand when needed. I can go about my day knowing he is being well looked after. The home has a welcoming and vibrant feel.

We needed to get Mum into Anya Court with very little notice. From my phone call to the home, an assessment was done 2 hours later and Mum was there the next day. The 1st week was difficult, but the staff were so caring right from the start and did everything to help Mum to settle. She is very stubborn
and independent, but they quickly worked out exactly how to handle her. Five weeks later the difference in Mum is just incredible, she has a smile on face and a sparkle in her eyes. She loves it at Anya Court and has told me she is really happy and wants to spend the rest of her life there! This is from a lady who insisted she would never leave her own home. She has joined in various activities - it's the 1st time I've seen my Mum dance and sing in my life! Anya Court is such a lovely place with great facilities and so much going on every day. All the staff I have met, without fail, have been kind, caring and always have time to spend with you. Mum was just existing at home, at Anya Court she is living with a purpose again.

I have found the care and attention paid to my father are excellent. He is treated with respect and dignity at all times and the care he receives is excellent and meets all of his requirements. The rooms are a really good size which enables him to have all the equipment he needs to hand. He has appointed
carers and there are always
other people at hand if needed. He needs extra people to help with his care but staffing is not a problem. He enjoys the food and activities provided and we are always sent an activities sheet for the following week so we can take part as well. We are able to join him for meals if we book a couple of days in advance and if the larger family all decide to visit together we can book a room.
All in all, I would recommend Anya Court to anyone.

Overall my relative is happy, safe and well looked after. The staff are kind, caring and approachable. Management is a shadowy force who do not seem to build relationships unless approached and communication could be improved. Trips etc are arranged on an ad-hoc basis seemingly. Efforts to improve the
gardens have been heroic and have improved the quality of life for residents. Food is variable both in quality and quantity but this may be affected by staffing issues. Overall very positive but things to work on.

Job Title: Lifestyles Lead Joined: 2014

I am the Lifestyles Lead at Anya Court. I started my journey as a carer on the day the home opened in 2014, working my way up to the lifestyles lead role.


I love my job organising meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities for the residents.
Also leading an enthusiastic, motivated team to help deliver excellent relationship-centred care.


I am passionate about residents engaging in the lifestyle choices they had before coming into the home and building strong relationships based on trust.


It is important to get to know strengths, passions and to understand each person’s needs and enable them to live the lives they want to and to do the things they want to do.


I truly believe that life does not stop when you move into a care home and anything is possible.


Anya Court is a vibrant, friendly, family feel home with a dedicated team, beautiful interiors and an impressive garden all of which makes me incredibly proud and privileged to work here.
