Visited Anya Court to see a friend and to consider the suitable facilities for my Mother and Father-in-law.
The initial first feel, was of a welcoming 5* hotel, smiling receptionist, the 50's style diner had residents and family enjoying drinks and a great view of the garden.


The overall feel was

very clean, light corridors, beautiful rooms and a well maintained, friendly atmosphere, smiling staff and no odour associated with some establishments.
My elderly relatives have all spent their golden years in homes, Anya Court has been by far the best.


The main care advisor met us in the diner and answered many questions, giving us advice and showing empathy to our future situation.


It’s a very difficult situation when choosing where you wish to live your final years and selling a home or moving to another area can be stressful, however, I would recommend visiting with no preconceived ideas and an open mind.
You will not be disappointed.

Anya Court was a breath of fresh air when first opened 2014. Obviously, as a new purpose-built home you expect it to look clean and nice with good facilities but it does have features which make it stand out from the rest locally (with a price tag to match).
The café is a great place for residents/relatives
to get together over a drink and cake. Superb treatment room and hair salon and gardens are great for residents, especially in summer where you can sit under the huge parasols. Gardens were a bit tired last year but new lady gardener now on top of it.
There have been issues under previous management and high staff turnover has caused some problems, but the current management is turning things around. Whatever the issues though, the staff are generally very friendly, caring and helpful.
Regular separate resident and relative meetings are held and well attended with lively discussions. From our experience of the independent living floor, we are very happy with our relative's care.

I have visited a number of care homes and Anya Court is by far superior in every aspect. My mother has lived at Anya Court for four months and is happy and content and the staff show her kindness and respect at all times.

My mother has been a resident at Anya Court for just short of a month now after we took her from another care home as we felt and know she wasn't receiving the care and support she deserved. So we arranged a meeting and a look around Anya Court and have to say we were very impressed with the whole package
and knew that my mother would be happy there too.
It's taken her a while to settle as we expected with moving her again and the change. But have to say she looks so much better and is eating plenty as the food is just amazing and she has started to interact with the other residents which she wasn't doing before, she wasn't even getting out of bed or getting dressed. But now she's up dressed and having meals the majority of the time in the dining room with the other residents which is great to see.
All I can say is a big thank you to all the caring staff because without them my mum would still be feeling lonely and sad.

Staff have shown a sensitive awareness of dads medical and emotional needs since he moved into Anya Court. They have made efforts to get to know him and we are prepared to stop and chat and reassure him when necessary. Dad increasingly forgets these interactions so I am particularly pleased that I can
feel confident that staff keep us his family in the picture and are aware of our needs too!

I feel my mother is happy in Anya Court because there are many activities for her to join in particularly singing together.
The staff engage with her and ask about her. She seems to get many hugs and cuddles.


I was visiting on a Thursday and saw how she enjoyed singing and using tambourines and

other musical instruments. The singing instructor/musician was certainly trying to engage all the residents in the room. I thought the lady leading the singing was excellent. My mother certainly enjoyed the experience.

My Mother, having made a previous visit to Anya Court, has now taken up full-time residence. In making this decision other care homes were considered locally but none demonstrated the friendly atmosphere of Anya Court. Nor did others have the facilities of a modern and well-planned facility. My Mother
and all our family feel confident that the maximum care and attention are being made available in a happy and welcoming atmosphere.

Our family were very happy with the care received by my father at Anya Court. Unfortunately, he was only there for a short time but we were confident that he was well looked after. The facilities are excellent, everywhere was clean and the staff brilliant, both to my father and family members.

I have been very satisfied with the level of care that we have received. My friend is well advanced in years and requires medical attention and has been made to feel comfortable and valued. It is the perfect situation for her to live as she chooses without being made to get up and ready at a particular

Dad was only resident for a brief period on Cappella Way (November 2017 to January 2018) however, every day, the staff that cared for Dad strived to meet his every need and were always most welcoming to his family and friends and regularly kept us informed of Dads condition. The surroundings are delightful
and always clean and the food nourishing and delicious. We would thoroughly recommend this Home.

The manager was very welcoming and gave an accurate and clear description of the care and facilities.
The staff were always pleasant and caring. The home was always clean and bright with no unpleasant smells. We were frequent visitors and the security was excellent.
Dad was only there three weeks
but any problems were dealt with quickly and they seemed to treat their residents as individuals.
The cakes were very tasty too.

My Mum has been in Anya Court since the beginning of August 2017. We, the family are very happy with all aspects of the care home and in particular, the carers who are brilliant with my Mum. They show a lot of caring and love to my Mum. The cleanliness is brilliant at all times and the standards of

My husband has been a resident at Anya Court for a month. He has dementia and severe mobility problems. I visit every day and we enjoy lunch together. His care throughout is excellent and I am made to feel very welcome. The whole care team dealt with a recent difficult medical situation in a most professional
and caring manner. Staff levels appear to be too low on some occasions and lead carers need more time for consultation.

I visited Anya Court on an open day and was delighted by the greeting and courtesy I received. The care home was beautifully decorated and furnished, refreshments provided were excellent and the staff were all kind and caring. The garden was lovely and had obviously been planned to give residents
the utmost pleasure - I particularly appreciated the chicken coop and the fence decorated with brightly painted, assorted garden tools, also the bowling/petanque area. In all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience - Anya Court certainly ticks all the boxes, first class!
