Hallmark Anya Court

Overall my relative is happy, safe and well looked after. The staff are kind, caring and approachable. Management is a shadowy force who do not seem to build relationships unless approached and communication could be improved. Trips etc are arranged on an ad-hoc basis seemingly. Efforts to improve the gardens have been heroic and have improved the quality of life for residents. Food is variable both in quality and quantity but this may be affected by staffing issues. Overall very positive but things to work on.

I initiated enquiries regarding possible care at Anya Court for my friends. I was welcomed immediately to a tour round and provided with a catalogue. I was also advised of specific events taking place and was encouraged to bring my friends along. My friends really liked the facilities, lovely garden and the kindness of all the staff. Anya Court was bright and provided a happy energetic environment where it was clear that residents did not just sit around and independence was encouraged. Whilst Anya Court was suited to their needs, adjustment to their situation was very difficult - leaving their home. The process was achieved gradually over several visits with no pressure until the time was right to make the move. Anya Court staff requested a detailed history of the couple to ensure smooth and safe admissions were made. Clearly, whilst an emotionally difficult time, every attempt was made to make my friends' feel comfortable and as settled as quickly as possible.

My father has been here for 3 months and has had excellent care. All staff are friendly and helpful and keep us well informed about my father's progress. There are many varied activities - Dad especially enjoyed his trip out. Carers are good at encouraging him to improve his mobility. Atmosphere of the home is good - lovely gardens and welcoming cafe.

Family need to be informed more about the resident's well being, on a weekly basis.

I was here for 2 weeks only straight after hospital and a doctor friend of mine commented on how much good the time here had done me.

After Mum's fall and time in hospital, Anya Court gave her a superb place to live whilst she gained confidence in her ability to walk with her frame again. It also gave her family peace of mind to know she was in very good hands while a stair lift/ visiting care/meals have been arranged at her own home. Thank you so much to carers and the staff.

We definitely made the right choice selecting Anya Court and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other families or individuals.

First impressions are excellent as the building is well designed and well maintained. During my mum’s stay, the staff at all levels were caring and extremely kind and helpful. She quickly got into a good routine and was always ready and waiting for any visitors. The gardens were great and she enjoyed being outside in the sunshine. The meal staff laid up a table in the sun and we enjoyed being spoilt by them.

The pride in the level of care that exists at Anya Court was evident from the moment we first met the manager right through until the final day of respite care. There was a clear view that the individual resident mattered as a person and not simply as a customer. The level of day to day care and interaction was impressive and consistently so. The facilities are also first class.

As a Family, we have been very grateful for the expertise and nursing care my Father received at Anya Court. The staff are well trained and motivated, which reflects in their practice. Standards are adhered to, and Residents and families feel safe. Anya Court is well managed. I have already recommended Anya Court to a family in Rugby looking for nursing care and reassurance.

The initial first feel, was of a welcoming 5* hotel, smiling receptionist, the 50's style diner had residents and family enjoying drinks and a great view of the garden.

My elderly relatives have all spent their golden years in homes, Anya Court has been by far the best.

The main care advisor met us in the diner and answered many questions, giving us advice and showing empathy to our future situation.

You will not be disappointed.

Regular separate resident and relative meetings are held and well attended with lively discussions. From our experience of the independent living floor, we are very happy with our relative's care.

I have visited a number of care homes and Anya Court is by far superior in every aspect. My mother has lived at Anya Court for four months and is happy and content and the staff show her kindness and respect at all times.

All I can say is a big thank you to all the caring staff because without them my mum would still be feeling lonely and sad.

On the whole very good.

Staff have shown a sensitive awareness of dads medical and emotional needs since he moved into Anya Court. They have made efforts to get to know him and we are prepared to stop and chat and reassure him when necessary. Dad increasingly forgets these interactions so I am particularly pleased that I can feel confident that staff keep us his family in the picture and are aware of our needs too!

The staff engage with her and ask about her. She seems to get many hugs and cuddles.

I was visiting on a Thursday and saw how she enjoyed singing and using tambourines and other musical instruments. The singing instructor/musician was certainly trying to engage all the residents in the room. I thought the lady leading the singing was excellent. My mother certainly enjoyed the experience.
