The skilled team at Britten Court provides high-quality care that is fully personalised to each resident. Care services range from respite and residential to nursing and dementia care. There is also a day club offering care and companionship for people in the local area.

Britten Court has its own cinema room, café and hair salon, which residents can use whenever they wish. The café is a great place to catch up with loved ones over a cup of tea and some freshly baked cakes.

Since my mother-in-law's arrival earlier in 2023, Britten Court immediately became her "home from home"! The care of all the staff has been exemplary, professional, attentive, sympathetic, affectionate and friendly. As a family, we couldn't be happier to see how she has settled and embraced Britten
Court as her new home and an extension of her family. The residents are engaged in activities without being demeaning and patronising but rather encouraging individual interests and pursuits. There is always something "going on"/being organised and all the staff go "above and beyond"! We don't live locally all the time, and so her home at Britten Court gives us complete peace of mind knowing she's so happy! In summary, one word, "excellent"!

I came to visit my sister - I normally visit weekly. This visit was normal.
Staff are very friendly. My sister's room was immaculately clean, as always. She was cheerful and appeared to have a very good relationship with her carers. Overall, I have peace of mind to know she is being looked after in
such a wonderful place.

My mother has been a resident here for 11 months and I can honestly say the care home have been brilliant.
She received a warm welcome as soon as she arrived, and the staff have been so accommodating and helpful towards my mum.
Every so often a resident is 'resident of the day' and I especially like
this as the care home check in with the family and chat about anything.

In comparison to other places Mum has been, this is a modern, relaxed atmosphere with constantly available care.
The care for Mum is appropriate, friendly and understanding. The staff are always welcoming and continue to look after all of Mum's needs.
The facilities are good and enable Mum to feel
comfortable in the home.

I could not have wished for a better care home for my mum to be cared for in her last days. The staff are amazing. My mum was treated with dignity and respect at all times. The staff looked after me and my family so well, always making sure we had something to eat and drink. Every single staff member
in the building had a smile on their face and were so welcoming. When Mum passed, I had a phone call from the funeral home who told me how lovely Mum looked when they collected her. That was so comforting. Thank you so much, everyone.

The staff provide a warm and welcoming homely environment. They care about the residents and also the resident's family. The staff at Britten Court are kind and caring. They demonstrate passion in the work they do. I feel my mum is being very well looked after.

My father was 99 years old when he went into Britten Court and they do everything they can to help him and he has settled down. I have no complaints about Britten Court, all I can do is praise them.

I have been visiting Britten Court now since March. I've always been pleased with all staff in there, greeted with a smile and hello by everyone. It is always so spotlessly clean and welcoming. From the entrance to whatever unit you go into it's the same. We even had a party in there for my friend's
80th and the food and care were really good, all gas said how great it was.

The home supported my mother through her last months of dementia. It was excellent, above all because they saw my mum as an individual and took time to understand her. They also saw the job as helping the family come to terms with transitioning from life to death. A clear vision translated into a culture
of support, excellent facility and a real commitment to the family. One member of staff, in particular, epitomised this.

Job Title: Home Manager

I originally began working for Care UK when it took over the running of various homes operated by Suffolk County Council. The organisation truly puts residents at the heart of everything, which I completely support. It’s also very supportive as an employer – as a manager I have a great support network to help me do my job to the highest standards. 


I enjoy mornings the most at Britten Court: many residents are up and about and I can spend time with them, having a chat and finding out how they plan to spend their day. I’m privileged to work with some wonderful residents and families, including some people we’ve been supporting for a long time because they transferred from the old Council-run homes as I did!


Outside of work, I have a very busy home life. I’ve three children and eight grandchildren who I love spending time with.
