A visit today to celebrate my friends 95th birthday. A very enjoyable and delicious lunch followed by wonderful entertainment, sing-a-long and birthday cake. The most delicious cake ever tasted. The staff are all so lovely with the residents and enjoyed the the live singing and dancing.

Camberley Manor has provided excellent care for my mother who has now been a resident for over 2 years. Mum arrived at CM with a serious abdominal wound and was immobile. Today she is able to get around in her electric wheelchair and loves the garden. Mum is also able to walk a few steps due to excellent
physio.
Mum has had some moments of quite serious unwellness but the staff have always rallied to her aid and gone the extra mile to get mum the medical support she requires.
Mum has developed real friendships with staff and residents and is very content. She feels safe at CM and if she has had to go to hospital she has been very happy to get "home".
CM has shown tolerance and patience when family members might have been over-worried or stressed at certain times. This is a real skill.
CM is a friendly, professional, caring, and highly competent home and has given my mother and indeed the whole family a huge amount of support and care. We are truly grateful.

It's only been a few days since my mother and family selected The Manor as her new Home. We call it "The Manor" because it is not a nursing home, it is her new home. I didn't realise the meaning of the sales pitch and the words "We don't use agency staff". Only a week into my mother having moved in,
I now realise that the workforce is a family with close connections with not just the residents but also a team as a whole. This makes it work so well.
Food is an important part of a person's life and with my mother having special food preparation needs I have been blown away by the lengths the team goes to to ensure she gets to sample the excellent food. An example of this is that at the weekend the home had an open day and without asking and in such a natural way, a preparation of the BBQ was offered. Inclusive life supported by the Team at The Manor.
Would I recommend The Manor - no - that isn't enough. Would I shout and scream about how great it is.

My mum had to go into hospital after a fall in her home. She was not safe living on her own, and in mum's best interests, we started looking at care homes. After looking at quite a few we settled on Camberley Manor. It all was taken care of. The manager came to see mum in a hospital to see her and assess
her needs. From there mum was picked up from the hospital and brought to Camberley Manor [As respite first to see if she liked it] she then became a resident that was a year ago. The carers there are such wonderful people and the care mum receives is amazing, I don't have the words to say how caring and gentle they are. Mum sees them as part of her family. The team they have on the different floors remain the same so there is continuity and they know mums needs before she does. I can't speak highly enough and would like to give a special mention to the Team Leader and her team on the Tulip Floor. Thank you I couldn't have picked a better care home. Thank you so much.

The team at Camberley Manor has been so helpful and supportive from the first phone call they all understand how important it was for us to have a safe, happy new home for my Dad. Dad needed urgent care and support and we are so thankful and impressed by how the team has helped us at such short notice

Camberley Manor Care Home is a home from home... I can't fault it. Carers and staff are friendly and helpful with a smile whenever asked for help. Meals are varied and tasteful. Activities organised should interest all. There is a lovely garden with walkways for residents to enjoy. Relatives visiting

My mother moved to Camberley Manor at the beginning of Dec. 23. From the first second she was made to feel welcome. All of the staff were most welcoming and attentive.
Before choosing Camberley Manor I visited 12 other homes in the area and visited Camberley Manor 3 times before deciding on Camberley
Manor. My decision was never regretted. My contact with the home was excellent. On calling to discuss Mum's care I always received excellent information. When visiting I was always greeted by my first name and made to feel welcome.
Camberley Manor has a fantastic system that allows me to log on and see all of mum's medical and behavioural notes which were constantly updated. This was most reassuring since I live abroad. Mum had mobility issues and refused walking aids. (She did not need them) However, Camberley Manor worked with a physiotherapist who did a fantastic job in getting Mum mobile and accepting a walking stick!

The staff and facilities at Camberley Manor are excellent. The variety of activities that are available each week is outstanding. My Dad enjoys yoga, Thai chi, keep fit, the book club, and even some dancing. The standard of care and the regular communications and updates are particularly valuable.

My Mum has been a resident at Camberley Manor for over two-and-a-half years. As I live abroad, I have not been able to visit her as much as I would like, but I have been able to keep in touch via the home's excellent, and usually daily, updates on their Facebook page. Through the photos and videos posted
there, I could see her taking part in the many and varied activities which the home organises, and witness the delight on her face at the visits from therapy animals, or singing along to songs from times gone by! The staff are very observant and attentive, and soon got to know my Mum well and treat her as the individual she is. Unfortunately, my Mum's dementia is severe and has become progressively worse, which poses considerable challenges that the staff have dealt with, with huge flexibility, insight, and compassion. Camberley Manor has truly become my Mum's real home in her - and in our - hour of need.

The Manor made the transfer from the hospital to a care home very smooth and helped the family with what was a very difficult time. Every effort has been made to help my wife settle in and enjoy her surroundings. The staff could not be more helpful and always make the family and visitors welcome.

Staff on the front desk are always chatty and friendly and give a very warm welcome when I visit.
Management has always been approachable and has helped to sort out any hiccups that have occurred with my mother's care.
The welfare team provides a varied and busy timetable of appropriate activities
and they always encourage my mother to take an active part. The trips out have been most enjoyable and I’ve always been happy to assist.
The managers and staff who organised the tea party for my mother’s 100th birthday went above and beyond, I was very grateful for their dedication.
My main concern is the lack of care staff at busy times of the day,( mornings) when residents need most assistance. I feel that this is an issue for management as the care staff do their best to cover all bases. My observation has been that on occasion my mother has remained in her nighty until late morning and there are too few staff to help residents, who need it, use the toilet.

My mother has been staying as a respite resident but may have to stay permanently. I saw a few care homes whilst looking for the right care for my mum. Camberley Manor lives up to its name luxury. The staff are amazing and attentive from the office staff, laundry, cleaners, chefs, hairdresser, carers
and nurses. I have no concerns leaving my mum when I visit and know she is getting the very best care and support. The gardens are lovely and the bistro is lovely to take mum for a coffee. Camberley Manor provide activities for the residents and are great at trying to get the residents to participate. I always feel very welcome when I arrive and the whole place gives off a warm happy atmosphere in what could be a very challenging environment at times I’m sure. My mum seems very settled with her environment and with the staff and if I had to go into care I would want Camberley Manor to be the place I go to, can’t thank the staff enough.

Mum has been a resident at Camberley Manor for over two years and her dementia has progressively become more challenging. Throughout all of this the staff have cared for her with professionalism (nursing care and everyday care) and compassion and have given her a home where she can feel loved and safe.
The staff have the capacity to see beyond the dementia and recognise and value the person underneath.

Albert Joy joined Camberley Manor in October 2022 as Care Services Manager.


A qualified Registered Nurse since 2010, Albert completed his training in India and brings over eight years of diverse clinical experience across hospital and pre-hospital settings in India, Dubai, and the UK. He has a strong background in accident and emergency care and most recently served as a Deputy Charge Nurse within the NHS, where he further honed his clinical expertise and leadership capabilities.


Albert was drawn to the TLC Group by its commitment to creating an exceptional workplace and a cohesive team environment focused on delivering the highest standards of care to residents.

Jade Smith

Job Title: Hotel Services Manager Joined: 2021

Jade began her journey with TLC in May 2021 as Head Chef at Camberley Manor, bringing with her over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. Inspired by TLC’s core values of Truth, Love, and Compassion, she was drawn to a role where her passion for food could make a meaningful difference in people's lives.


With formal qualifications in Hospitality Management and Professional Cookery, Jade began her culinary career at the age of 15 as a ‘tea lady’ and has since dedicated herself to delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that bring joy to others—particularly the elderly, who she believes deserve an exceptional dining experience at every mealtime.


Her talent and commitment have been widely recognised: in 2022, Jade was awarded Great British Care Chef of the Year for the South Region, secured 1st place in the South-East Region at the National Association of Care Catering’s Care Chef of the Year competition, and was a finalist at the National Care Awards.


Following these proud achievements, Jade chose to take the next step in her career by moving into the role of Hotel Services Manager. In this new position, she is dedicated to delivering outstanding service across all areas of the home, always keeping the needs and wellbeing of residents at the heart of everything she does.

Salika Handi

Salika Handi is an accomplished Finance and HR Manager with over 15 years of international experience spanning the banking and hospitality sectors in the UK, Qatar, and Sri Lanka. Her career includes notable positions at globally recognised organisations such as HSBC, Qatar Airways, and Hertfordshire Council, where she developed a strong foundation in financial management and service excellence.


Salika holds dual Master’s degrees—an MBA from Kingston University and an MBS from the University of Colombo—bringing a robust academic background to complement her practical expertise.


Since joining TLC in December 2023, Salika has played a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of both finance and HR functions. Her passion for resident well-being and her commitment to delivering exceptional service are reflected in her approach to supporting not only residents, but also their families and visitors.

Dimpal Gadher

Job Title: Office Manager Joined: 2022

Dimpal joined TLC in May 2022 as Head Housekeeper at Camberley Manor and quickly distinguished herself through her dedication, professionalism, and passion for providing exceptional service. Thanks to the supportive environment at TLC, she embraced opportunities for growth and development, earning recognition as an Onboarding Champion, Manual Handling Champion, and Engagement Champion.


In April 2023, Dimpal transitioned into the role of Admin Assistant and has since been promoted to Office Manager. In this role, she plays a vital part in the day-to-day running of the home, fostering strong relationships with residents’ families and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere.


Dimpal takes great pride in creating meaningful connections with those around her and is deeply committed to the values of care and compassion that define Camberley Manor. Outside of work, she enjoys listening to Bollywood music and spending quality time with her family.

Crystal joined Camberley Manor Care Home on June 10, 2024, as a Customer Service Supervisor, taking a lead on role modelling an outstanding customer experience across all areas of the business; delivering exceptional customer service and proactively addressing customer feedback with effecting communication and resolution.


What I enjoy most is the opportunity to make a positive impact on both residents and their families. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team that provides not just care, but a supportive and compassionate environment where residents can feel valued, safe, and comfortable. I take great pride in ensuring that all aspects of the care home experience, from communication to service delivery, are handled with the utmost professionalism and empathy. Being able to listen to residents and their families, addressing their concerns, and helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere is very rewarding.

As our Practice Development Lead, Arlene plays a key role in coaching and mentoring staff, designing and delivering impactful training, and supporting both personal and professional development across the team.
