I would like to thank all the staff at Camberley Manor for the unique care provided for my Nan for the last few important years of her life. The carers, nurses, receptionists, cleaners chefs, activities, managers, and everybody who make the home such a family unit. When choosing a home for your loved
one, you hope you have made the right decision. We definitely did that when we chose Camberley Manor. Hats off to all of you for your care, commitment, and compassion. Thank you so much.

My mum has been a resident at Camberley Manor Care Home for a month. Although it has only been a relatively short time for Mum to adjust to her new home, it is clear to us as a family that she is in very capable and loving hands! The staff have been amazing and so helpful throughout and I would just
like to thank you all for being so kind, so helpful and so professional. I personally could not ask for more. Truly outstanding!
Reply from Lloyd Kitchen, Community Development Manager at Camberley ManorThanks, Simonne! What a lovely review. We love being able to care for Mum and making sure she is engaged daily.

My father spent his last few weeks at Camberley Manor Care Home, and they were fantastic.
The care home facilities are brilliant, the home is kept ultra-clean and Covid friendly. The staff at Camberley Manor are exceptional, I couldn't have asked for more caring staff to look after my dad in his time
of need. The management and all the staff that work with them went well above and beyond. They care, not just for the resident but also for the family, and it made such a big difference to us as a family. What makes a care home special is when the staff really care, are passionate about service and always take the time to check everything is ok and if they can do anything.
Thank you all from all of us.
Reply from Lloyd Kitchen, Community Development Manager at Camberley ManorThank you so much for such a lovely review. Looking after your father was an absolute pleasure, and we always look to go above and beyond not only for the resident but family too. In the short time my mum came to Camberley Manor Care Home the care she received was truly amazing and caring. The staff always made sure that me, my sister and my dad were ok on a daily basis. My mum received the best love and compassion and care and went above and beyond. Camberley Manor is a first-class
care home for our loved ones and couldn't wish for a better place for our loved ones to be in the autumn of their lives. Truly outstanding. Love to you all.

It was such a difficult decision to place my beautiful mum in care, but she was living with dementia and struggled to look after herself, and wasn’t safe living on her own. Searching for the perfect forever home during a pandemic is a challenge, but the second I walked into Camberley Manor Care Home
and was met by the community development manager all my worries and fears were gone, it felt like home, I knew she was meant to live there, from the stunning bedrooms, lounges, communal areas to the fantastic gardens!
Almost 6 months have passed since Mum moved in, she has settled wonderfully, all of the care staff, nurses, and management, which includes everyone from cleaners, laundry, and administration are so caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Camberley Manor is a family and we, my family and I, are so thankful to be a part of that family.
Thank you all for all you do for my wonderful mum and us, you truly are very special.

What can I say, not enough space here to write everything? From the moment I brought my beautiful mum into your care, I knew I did the right thing - firstly Camberley Manor Care Home, I see as a beautiful home, holiday, hotel, exceptionally clean, modern, "stunning". More importantly, your staff are
outstanding "angels", "friends", caring, compassionate and loving people. They care for everyone, patients and family, my mum had the utmost best carer in her final two weeks of life with you. I am so grateful you took her in, I only wish I had done earlier. Love you lots. Thank you.

Since Dad arriving at Camberley Manor three weeks ago we have all been so impressed with it. The manager and care services manager made it as simple as possible so that he could transfer quickly from hospital and they were very efficient and warm at such a difficult time. All the staff have been very
friendly and professional and the environment is just first-class, every attention to detail wherever you look and always very clean and fresh. There are so many little areas indoors providing interest, places to meet or to sit comfortably and many good quality activities going on each day. Outside the garden has been beautifully thought out and provides a safe place to stroll and sit in peaceful areas. Dad has also started enjoying eating again due to the meals being just the right size, of excellent quality and beautifully presented. Care seems to be excellent and the staff appear to be a happy team - all very reassuring and such a relief to know that Dad is in good, safe hands.

The fabulous home and staff are amazing, but today was a very sad day. My mother in law who had been there over two years and spent her life savings had to leave. Not management in the home but those who control finances would not compromise and accept local authority rate and let her stay. So had to
move to another home, just hope she settles in, has taken a long time for her to settle where she was. You would have thought everything everyone has been through this last year, that duty of care would be more important than money? My rating on management does not reflect the management in the home.

I arrived at Camberley Manor after an emergency major operation at the hospital. The TLC I have received here from all the staff has put me back together again. The nurses and carer are professional, and all the staff are helpful and kind. The atmosphere is jolly, and that has really aided my recovery.
I would certainly come back here, should I need to, and recommend it to others.

My mother-in-law moved into Camberley Manor when she became unable to live by herself. The communication with the home from the start has been first rate. Every query we have had has been promptly dealt with and, more importantly, the staff have been proactive in informing us of how she is getting on.
This has been especially reassuring as due to Covid restrictions visiting has had to be limited. We feel confident that we will be informed of any change or issue immediately. The home have also made use of Facebook to show photos of the residents which has given us some insight into what my mother-in-law has been getting up to. It has been good to see her joining in with lots of varied activities and celebrating birthdays and other special days. She is doing more than she did at home!
The carers are lovely and kind as well as professional. It is a huge relief to know that my mother-in-law is safe and having her physical and mental needs met in such a beautiful environment.

Too early to comment on the functioning of the home, but all good so far, 2 days in. This review is about the pre-home/check-in process for which we cannot thank the community development manager and the care services manager enough. They were very helpful with our initial evaluation and the community
development manager answered all the questions helpfully and professionally (my sister is a nurse practitioner). Once we had chosen them, the care services manager offered to manage the whole process of moving our mother from the hospital which was a great relief. The community development manager was also very helpful and knowledegable about the funding options. It was very complicated and difficult as my mother had Covid and is terminally ill with cancer. Both managers worked brilliantly together covering both the medical and admin. There were lots of problems with the hospital and we all worked together as a great team to get Mum out. Mother hated every minute in the hospital and was desperate to get out. Since being out she is a different woman and feels like she is living in a luxury hotel. Thanks guys.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.929)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.929) out of 10 for Camberley Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 67 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 67 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.929 for Camberley Manor is calculated as follows: ( (747 Excellents x 5) + (46 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 798 Ratings = 4.929
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Camberley Manor is based on 67 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 67 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
