My husband stayed in this care home for 2 weeks. The atmosphere in it is warm and welcoming. There is a lot of space for the residents. The list of activities is perfect and stimulating. My family and I were pleasantly surprised. Excellent. Will recommend this care home to anyone, and my husband is
most certainly coming here for his next stay.
Reply from Leanne Applewhite, Community Development Manager at Camberley ManorThank you so much for taking the time to leave these wonderful comments, which we have shared with the team. And we look forward to seeing you and your husband again in the future for his next stay at Camberley Manor.

My mother has been a resident since Camberley Manor opened.
All the staff are very warm and welcoming - it is a "home from home" for my mother. I do not have a bad word to say. The current home manager has done an excellent job raising the standards in every way.
Reply from Leanne Applewhite, Community Development Manager at Camberley ManorThank you Carole, your mother has been a part of this home since the beginning and we are so fortunate to have such a wonderful lady live here with us.

Camberley Manor care home is a wonderful care home and the amazing staff have made my parents, who are in their late 80s, feel very welcome, nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is lovely to see them both happy, relaxed and cared for and enjoying their time together there.

I cam to visit my friend and ex-neighbour before Christmas, who recently moved in.
He seems very settled, happy and relaxed which is great. I am really happy he has adjusted well and I think that has come from a good team at the care home.

My mother has only been at Camberley Manor a few weeks but already I can see a mark difference in her. More alert, getting involved in all activities like her old self.
It's so reassuring to know she is comfortable and safe. The facilities are first class. Staff are wonderful, caring, understanding
and very professional. A lovely home.

No one likes putting their Dad in a Care Home. I was so worried, the staff are extremely welcoming. My dad has resided there for approximately 6 weeks and has already settled in very nicely. He is being looked after by the Memory Loss Care Staff. They all get on so well and there is a lot of fun and
laughter there! Residents are not only looked after with dignity and respect but are also treated as individuals. There is an abundance of activities to keep him busy and my dad has already gone on several trips out. He seems to have a new lease of life! I would thoroughly recommend Camberley Manor and feel so much more relaxed now. Thank you.
Reply from Sarah Parkin, Manager at Camberley ManorDear Jennifer, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your lovely review.

a positive effect from all the care.

My grandmother came to Camberley Manor after a very nasty fall for a few weeks rest and recovery. We were a bit worried about her going into a care home as she is very proud and independent.
All of her worries were very quickly put to rest as she absolutely loved it there, so much so she didn’t want
to leave. She enjoyed the company it gives her as well as the fantastic food and care. She enjoyed sitting out on their beautiful gardens and took full advantage of their hair salon.
Reply from Sarah Parkin, Manager at Camberley ManorThank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure having your Mother staying with us and I am so pleased that she recovered well and enjoyed her stay. We always enjoy seeing her when she comes back to visit us all. Best wishes.

My elderly mother spent 12 days in this wonderful care home. I can't thank the staff enough. They were kind, courteous and respectful of my mother's needs. The care home is absolutely wonderful, with activities daily tailored for individual needs.
The daily menu was just fab with a different menu
each day. My mother made a remarkable recovery which I can only put down to the time, empathy and compassion which was shown to her. I would like to thank all the staff and management for their care.

I have noticed an outstanding change, especially on Clover Unit. Since recent very qualified and experienced care members have joined my mother in law has received excellent care, especially one particularly carer.
My mother always looks smart and her hair is immaculate. She joins in and socialises
more than ever.
I am so thankful for having such a great team member working here and having such a great impact on other team members, all the residents and staff always have a wonderful, caring nature. Well done.

I only manage to visit my relative every 2-3 weeks because of the distance from my home. However, my husband and I are always given a warm welcome from all members of staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My relative, who is very elderly, seems very happy and well looked after. Whenever she is
poorly, despite her great age, everything is done to get her better. We have been very impressed, it is important to us that her last years are spent in comfort, safety and in an environment where she is stimulated. As my sister visits daily I know these conditions are met.

I have visited a resident on many occasions at this delightful care home. It has the most fantastic staff and the building and grounds are stunning. The decor is modern and uncluttered. The rooms are well maintained and spotlessly clean. The menus are varied and of the very high standard. I would
have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful care home. It is of 5* hotel standard with fantastic features and amenities, such as an in-house hair salon/barbers and a cinema room. There are high-quality activities put on regularly by the residents and the staff get involved in all celebrations such as Halloween, pancake day, easter etc.

Since new management has joined Camberley Manor the nursing home has been turned around. There are more permanent friendly, approachable staff who are very knowledgeable, especially with residents living with dementia. My mothers well being has been totally lifted and the care she is receiving is second
to none.
I have not seen any agency staff during the day anymore which to me is only a good thing, as there is continuity within the home.

Well Done Camberley Manor you are all doing an amazing job.

And thank you for looking after my mum so well, I have not seen her smile so much.

Camberley Manor is a very well designed home with a very good layout, very large bedrooms and facilities for residents and relatives.
My Mother, 93, has been here for 8 months.
The range of activities and the team are excellent.
There have been too many management changes; too many agency staff and
inconsistency in unit control and organisation.
I do believe my Mother has been well cared for and looked after.
The worst element is the effect the residents with severe dementia on Clover Unit have on the atmosphere for other residents and relatives.
Follow through of concerns I have raised has been variable.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.929)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.929) out of 10 for Camberley Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 67 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 67 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.929 for Camberley Manor is calculated as follows: ( (747 Excellents x 5) + (46 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 798 Ratings = 4.929
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Camberley Manor is based on 67 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 67 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

What I enjoy most is the opportunity to make a positive impact on both residents and their families. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team that provides not just care, but a supportive and compassionate environment where residents can feel valued, safe, and comfortable. I take great pride in ensuring that all aspects of the care home experience, from communication to service delivery, are handled with the utmost professionalism and empathy. Being able to listen to residents and their families, addressing their concerns, and helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere is very rewarding.
