of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

We are delighted to hear of your comments about Cavell Court; from the support offered by our customer relations manager to the activities, dining experience and facilities on offer that help residents to lead fulfilling lives. In recent years, mobile phones have been issued to each suite, meaning relatives do not need to rely entirely on the landline when wanting to speak with loved ones. Whilst these cannot always be free when requested, particularly if team members are busy aiding residents, we will always ensure families can maintain regular communication with their loved ones.

We are glad to hear you are pleased with the staff’s supportive and caring nature, as well as the cleanliness of your mother’s room at Cavell Court. Although we have opened lounges up to be used by residents on different suites, this has been done purely for the benefit of residents to encourage socialising and access to further space. Decisions at Cavell Court are made in the interest of residents, and we communicate this to all team members, so as to promote a supportive home environment for residents and staff alike. Our kitchen team work to provide a consistent service so residents know when to expect mealtimes, although food is always available throughout the day upon request.

I qualified as a Nurse in Portugal in 2010, and my first care job in the UK was for Care UK.
I left after five years to progress my career, but I decided to return because I believe in Care UK’s values and commitment to caring for residents.
Care UK is the best place I have ever worked. The support provided to colleagues is fantastic. Providing care is about being passionate and committed. As Home Manager, I believe it’s important to listen to and support residents, relatives and colleagues in the home on a day-to-day basis. I work hard to make a difference in their lives.
The safety and wellbeing of the residents living at Cavell Court of the utmost importance to me, and ensuring all procedures are followed is an important part of my role. My favourite part of the day is walking around the home every morning to talk to each resident and team member.
When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy time in the garden and do DIY at home.
