Very pleased with the loving care which my father received. Every department very good, not just the care team.

Reply from Venita Couzens, Home Manager at Kingsbury Court Care Home

Your father was like family to the staff on the ground floor. A gentleman and a pleasure to look after him.

My aunt has been a resident at Kingsbury Court for six months. She looks so much better than she has done for some time due to the care and attention received. It was her 90th birthday recently and all the staff made it very special for her and other residents. We appreciated the lounge and dining area were made available for the occasion. Suggestion, perhaps a notice board with photos of parties, outings, activities could be put up for residents and visitors to see.

I have visited my friend on several occasions and have found most of the staff welcoming and giving good care and attention to the residents. The home is well appointed, with a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness. My friend had a 97th birthday, which the staff pulled out all the stops to give her a memorable day, including her favourite singer, birthday cake, bouquet and decorations. Thank you.

My mother has just had her 97th Birthday. Kingsbury Court gave her a wonderful day. Of course, we took lots of photos. Looking at the photos of last year, my mother looks and is so much better. She has put on weight and most of the time she does not want to eat, but with the help of the staff and the chefs, she is making progress.

My mother was in Kingsbury for a week. She was very reticent about going because of dementia but she absolutely adored it when she was there. She was very well looked after by the staff and wanted to attend all the activities. There is a variety of things to do and lovely relaxing rooms for the residents. Its light and the dining room is decorated and makes you feel like you are going out for a meal. Everyone works very hard here.

My aunt has been in the residential care section on respite care for two months after a fall at home. She has been very well cared for is happy and content. She enjoys the food and says all the staff are lovely and very helpful. This was my first visit and I found the place very clean, modern with purpose-built facilities, luxury furnishings just like a nice hotel. The staff were all very pleasant and informative. The place was secure and felt safe, providing a calm environment offer recuperation. The ensuite bedroom is large and airy a lovely place.

When I was reviewing a placement for my mother. All homes I visited were cold calling. Each time I was drawn back to Kingsbury Court Care Home, open, honest, 24/7 access. Best decision I made. Any issues with care are discussed immediately and positive action taken.

All the permanent staff I am on first name terms. Access to visit is 24/7, as I am on shifts this is, even more, a benefit. Activities are good and also improving my mother stays in her room and the animal activities are taken to her.

My dad arrived directly from a hospital , this care home took care of him, received him and made him feel comfortable and welcome.
During my father's stay the staff cared for him with extreme care and confidence, they treated him as a friend and looked after all his needs. I found all the staff to be highly qualified and caring with a can-do attitude that made my dad's stay the most comfortable and happy it could possibly be under the circumstances.
The room was as described and felt more like a hotel than a home for the elderly, a great many activities and areas to just sit and chat.

I would highly recommend this care home.
