Overall Experience
My Aunt was transferred to Mary Rose Manor from hospital and all the staff were so attentive during her stay. Her welfare, comfort and dignity were paramount at all times to the staff who were also compassionate and to the family too which was much appreciated as it was an emotional time for us.
My Aunt was able to continue enjoying her love of music and dancing through activities and staff taking the time to help her with these favourite things.
I was so pleased and relieved that my Aunt was in Mary Rose Manor to receive such excellent care. Other visitors to my Aunt remarked to me that the home was lovely and they were impressed with the facilities but more importantly how every staff member wanted and did the very best for my Aunt.

Thank you to everyone at Mary Rose Manor for such good care of my Aunt and keeping her safe.

My brother was transferred to this location from another care home due to excellent all round reviews. On my first visit, I was very impressed with the size of the accommodation and the very positive result of cleanliness and tidiness, also the attention of the very friendly staff. On the first floor was a large common room where the patients could sit during the day and be looked after by numerous staff, again very attentive and helpful, with snacks available. Security was a high priority also. This is an excellent all round home!

I am a carer/friend of a gentleman who spent the last couple of weeks of his life here. He received excellent care and nothing was too much for the carers, doctors etc. I would be happy to have anyone of my family members be looked after here.

My father was transferred to Mary Rose Manor for palliative care from hospital . His pain was managed with extreme care, sensitivity and success. It was managed much better here than in hospital where he was in pain at times. The staff were unfailingly kind, welcoming and couldn't do enough for dad and the rest of the family. We had absolute confidence in the staff and felt no qualms in leaving dad with them. The rooms are spacious, clean and cheerful. The deputy manager kept us up to date and explained every aspect of dad's care to us with great patience. If I needed end of life care then I would want to be at Mary Rose Manor. They had a very good understanding of dad's needs and treated him with respect. They understood that although his short-term memory was very poor, he was able to make his own decisions.

My son stayed at Mary Rose Manor for end-of-life care. I can honestly say that the care given to Carl was exemplary. He was treated with respect and dignity. Staff went beyond my expectations to care for his every need. They showed compassion and empathy. The home made the experience as good as it could be possible be. It was a very difficult time for us, and the staff made all of the family feel welcome, and we could visit 24 hours if required. I would definitely recommend this nursing home 5*.

My brother was very well looked after and liked his room/home at Mary Rose Manor. The residents and staff make him and us feel very welcome. In the short time he was there he made good friends and built a bond with his carers/nurses. We are grateful for him being accepted in the home and can't thank them enough for the care and support.

I liken myself as a mother tiger with her cub as far as my husband was concerned at first terrifed as to what was to come. However my fears rested quickly as I became aware of the caring and loving way everyone was being treated. His stay was short but I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart, take care and God bless all of you always.

Can't praise this home and staff enough. Manager Julie is always on hand to chat if you need anything. Quarterdeck staff are all amazing, friendly, helpful and very attentive with the residents. The care they provide is second to none even if the residents needs can sometimes be challenging. I think it takes a special person to work in a care/nursing home, Mary Rose Manor have lots of those special people. Thank you all for all your kindness and support.

My mum cared for my dad for several years following his Alzheimer's diagnosis, but this resulted in high levels of anxiety for her and our family. Following two heart attacks and a faster progression of his illness, he was brought from hospital to Mary Rose Manor. Dad was still able to do as he wished within safe parameters, and we quickly saw a positive shift in his previously high levels of anxiety. For the first time in years, we felt less isolated, fully supported by the caring and knowledgeable team at Mary Rose Manor. I would highly recommend this nursing home, and we will never forget their kindness, compassion and support.

My wife has been living in Mary Rose Manner since April 2024 and I am so happy to say that this home is something beyond outstanding. The home is modern and clean and the quality of care is exceptional. All the nurses, carers and other staff are professional, caring and very supportive. I don't know what to say about the home Manager and how to express my gratitude for her care, love and consideration towards my whole family.

Thank you so much Team Mary Rose Manor

The team at the Mary Rose Manor were beyond exceptional with the care they provided to my late Nan.
Unfortunately, my Nan was diagnosed with dementia and became very strong-willed at times but the team continued to treat her with dignity, kindness and respect and I as a healthcare professional know how hard this can be at times.
Every visit to the manor was always lovely even in recent sad times, the facilities were always clean, staff extremely friendly and all residents were treated with dignity.
In my nan's recent last days, she was cared for and the empathy shown to us as a family was incredible I will be forever grateful that she was with the team and the time they took to ensure she was well looked after.

Thank you for all you did and continue to do.

My husband was transferred to Mary Rose on the 6th of June and from the first day the staff were amazing with him. Despite his complex needs and initial challenging behaviour, he was treated with care, compassion and dignity. In his last few days, all the carers, nurses and all staff were amazing, looking after both him and myself until he sadly passed away.

This home is amazing. They always offer the best care for the residents. The food is amazing and plentiful. There is always a range of activities happening and during June they included D.DAY which helped residents recall events. The new social media page is wonderful for letting us see what's going on when we are not there, and supporting physical and mental development.

My brother was very fortunate to get a place at Mary Rose Manor a year ago. The whole place is spotlessly clean as are the residents. All the staff from the cleaners and laundry staff to the care assistants, nurses, doctors and management are excellent. There are plenty of staff on who constantly engage with the residents keeping them happy and well cared for. The meals also look amazing and always plenty of food supplied throughout the day. My brother sadly died last month but the palliative care was 2nd to none. The wonderful staff took fantastic care of my nephew and myself as well as my brother. I have so many happy memories of his last year thanks to these brilliant people. A special thank you to the manager who went above and beyond to help my nephew and me throughout the year. I truly believe you will never find another home with such dedication and high standards. Thank you all.
