Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and comments on Cedrus House care home, we appreciate all feedback. It is great to see your excellent scores regarding the team and security of the home and that you would be likely to recommend Cedrus House to others. We take great care in our menu planning to offer a variety of choice for residents, however, the home manager and kitchen team would be more than happy to discuss your mother’s preference with you so that we can create a meal plan that will suit her individual requirements. We acknowledge that for a short period mealtimes were slightly delayed and we apologise for this – the home manager has confirmed that this was looked into immediately and specified mealtimes have resumed. With regards to activities, the lifestyle team support residents to continue with hobbies and interests, with a daily activity schedule and regular outings that residents can choose from; however, our team are always keen for feedback and suggestions, so please do let us know of any ideas, so that we can continue to provide the very best care for your loved one. The two hairdressers can be booked via the diary on the front desk and attend twice weekly; if there are any problems doing so please make a member of the team aware.
Cedrus House is bright and cheerful,
I did notice that although the bedding was very clean, the duvet was thin and lumpy, the sheets were slightly rough towelling. They didn't seem in keeping with the standard of the rest of this care home. However, when I mentioned the sheets, they immediately offered to get some different ones for her.
Definitely recommended.

I decided to join Care UK as a Registered Nurse in 2014 because it is a growing care provider that upholds its vision and values by keeping residents at the heart of its care.
A good home manager must be a great communicator, an active listener and an amazing supporter. It’s essential to be empathetic and kind in nature to lead a team well. I feel proud when I see the team and residents engaging as one big work family.
Being there to support colleagues, residents and relatives is the most important part of my role. I’m proud to have had several promotions within Care UK. My biggest career highlight to date was my internal promotion to Home Manager.
Outside of work, I have twin toddlers and enjoy walks with them, often taking them to the beach.
