I have visited a relative several times and everyone is always so helpful and happy. There are always staff around to help you find your people and the place is always so warm, clean and inviting. There is a lovely atmosphere and my relative is always happy and well cared for. I would happily live here

I cannot speak highly enough of the care that my Mum has received at Ivy Court. All staff whatever level are hardworking, empathetic and nothing is too much trouble when it comes to the individual care of residents.
Ivy Court is exceptionally clean and bright, residents' rooms are spacious and accommodate
those with mobility issues. The outside space is well maintained with good wheelchair access for all to enjoy. The residents have the opportunity to attend daily activities from a dedicated activity team, with outside trips enjoyed by all. Residents enjoy meals together in the communal dining room, where a choice of nutritious meals are served.
As the daughter of a resident at Ivy Court any concerns I have had with Mum's well-being and increasing frailty have been managed with compassion and support. Mum has settled in well to Ivy Court and speaks highly of staff on all levels as caring and nothing is too much trouble.

My mother has been a resident at Ivy Court for approximately three months and on every visit we have felt reassured with the care Mum is receiving the staff are friendly kind and approachable.
Occasionally at weekends, it's not always possible to speak to anyone on the phone but generally, communication
is good and staff will always phone back when they can.

I was very happy to leave my husband in the care of Ivy Court after discussions with the home about their facilities. He was well looked after and help was at hand at the press of a button. Ivy Court did everything I asked and I was well pleased with their care and attention to my husband. He has Alzheimer's
and I needed to know he would be well looked after. I would not hesitate to send him there again.

Mum was a resident for three and a half years in Ivy COurt. The staff really worked hard to give her the best.
They showed real care, compassion and kindness to mum. Cared for her, kept her safe during Covid and providing activities (trips early on) events, pampering, hairdressing etc.
Caring qualities
were never more evident than in mums final days and were extended to me enabling me to be with her all through. I shall always be immensely grateful for that.

The reception team are very efficient in making sure all visitors are compliant with covid regulations. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are always activities available for residents and their visitors to participate in. My mother had to go in in the middle of covid lockdown this could
have been very stressful but the manager and staff all helped to make this easier.

My husband has only been there a few days for respite care while I have an operation. He understands why he is there (up to a point) but forgets (dementia). The staff have tried hard to help him settle but he is frustrated. Normally he can walk around our road safely as neighbours know him well. The
staff are beginning to understand his needs and capabilities and he is beginning to relax and enjoy his surroundings. I had good reasons for choosing Ivy Court and I am satisfied he will enjoy his stay.

A very pleasant stay. The food is good. The staff are excellent. I cannot fault the staff at all. Activities programme ok, very varied. Always something for everyone. Played quizzes, entertainment ok. Even had spiritual guidance from the local vicar. Overall I quite enjoyed my stay and would come again.

Our Dad came into the care home and I was really worried about how he would settle in during the pandemic. Dad has dementia and I must say the nursing care given to him by everyone including the manager, nursing staff, carers, activities staff, receptionists and even the chef, has been excellent. Everyone
knows him by name. We receive weekly updates on his health and well being. I was concerned about Dad going into a nursing home and it did take me a little while to accept he needed this care but now I am happy we have done the best for him. We can now visit with COVID restrictions and it’s lovely to see him smile. Grateful thanks to everyone.

I cannot fault the care given to my father since 2016. He was treated with love, dignity and honour. He died recently and his end of life care was excellent. My treatment over the past years has been very good. I was kept informed and consulted at all time and the staff became my friends.

I would personally like to thank every member of staff at Ivy Court Nursing Home for their kindness, dedication, support and genuine care for my Nannie. The 24/7 care was exceptional; they treated Nannie with respect and dignity all the way through. They always spoke to her in a gentle, calming and
reassuring manner. We know Nannie was comfortable in her cosy room and felt relaxed during her time at Ivy Court.
We were welcomed by each member of staff every day - everybody is so friendly, supportive and empathetic to all families. The Covid-19 measures put in place kept us, staff and residents safe, yet it was carried out in a sensitive manner to make residents feel at ease.
Thank you for providing our family with food and drinks during some long days - we really didn’t expect such incredible care for us too.
I couldn’t recommend Ivy Court Nursing Home enough. Thank you.

My Nannie stayed at Ivy Court for palliative care during the late stages of her dementia. I want to thank every single member of staff who were absolutely exceptional. They went above and beyond to look after my Nannie, giving her the care and dignity she deserved. I’m truly touched by everyone’s genuine
kindness, compassion, professionalism and care. They treated our Nannie with the dignity, respect and kindness she deserved. They even provided our family with refreshments and food during our long visits, and would constantly check on Nannie to ensure she was comfortable. I can’t thank the staff enough, you’ve all been absolutely wonderful to our family and my Nannie. I’m so pleased she was looked after by every single one of you.

We specifically selected Ivy Court for transfer from hospital for end of life care for mum in law. The home is modern, airy and contemporary and more importantly, the care home reviews are positive, up to date and totally relevant. Since admission (16/10/20) we have personally observed the adherence
to the stringent Covid regime, professional and diligent administration, nursing capabilities and cleanliness. Perhaps most of all, the genuine care and attention that everyone displays is greatly appreciated (we have even had the Chef pop his head in to see if everything is ok and offering alternatives or suggestions). The nursing team are exceptional; listening, explaining and communicating in a thoroughly professional and friendly way that is genuinely appreciated by the family and reinforces our decision to select Ivy Court. I’m going to mention the previous CQC report because we decided to let our own eyes look beyond that and see what is actually happening now. We are not disappointed.

My mum was admitted to Ivy Court in April. She's basically on the end of life care. The staff are really going out of their way to look after her. Even the chef is making the things she really likes. I don't think she could have gone anywhere better. It's a weight off my shoulders to know she's in safe
hands.

I feel I must write a review to endorse this lovely care home. Since the lockdown period started in March we as a family have been kept informed of everything going on regarding my mum's care. She has been a resident at Ivy Court for over three years and I am so impressed with the way the staff have
looked after Mum during this time and specifically during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
The amazing activities team, old and new, have done their utmost to keep us in touch with Mum via video calls as often as they are able to.
Their continued dedication to assure us as a family and Mum as a resident, are kept in touch has been nothing short of amazing, hats off to you guys.
The rest of the staff are always on hand to assure safety, care and reassurance throughout the day and night. We are so impressed with you all at Ivy Court.
We as a family want to send a huge thank you and are so very grateful for all you are doing in these extremely difficult and unprecedented times. Superb team.

Ovidiu Andreescu

Job Title: Home Manager

Growing up in Romania and inspired by my mum who worked in the nursing profession, my dream was to become a nurse. After graduating from nursing school in 2013, I took the next steps and applied for my first RGN position in the UK. I then progressed to Clinical Lead and Deputy Home Manager, and finally to Home Manager.


I enjoy all aspects of managing a care home, including making it homely for my residents and offering personal care based on individual needs. It is important to me to support my staff to develop and succeed in their roles. I feel very privileged to be in a role which gives me such fulfilment and enables me to bring my knowledge, experience and skills to my team.


Our residents have a wide range of personal interests and this is reflected in the activities we offer and the personal touches you will find around the home. Our community here is warm and welcoming. I would welcome anyone to come for a tour and I look forward to introducing you to all we have to offer at Ivy Court.
