Hartismere Place

All aspects of the whole experience from initial enquiries to moving in and his care so far have been first-class. His quality of life has improved immensely.

The garden by the coffee area was very disappointing.

My mother stayed for a 2 week respite cover. Absolutely comfortable with her safety and the care and service provided. I would fully recommend this care home with no hesitation. Just wish they had room for her full time.

We visited a dear friend and were greeted with such a warm welcome by your receptionist and felt such a happy atmosphere from the moment we walked in with happy residents. A beaming chef, a beautiful hair salon and so warm, modern and fresh. Our friend has a beautifully appointed room and very kind carers, our friend is beautifully turned out and you are the nicest care home I have ever been to and we came out so impressed.

My mother moved to Hartismere Place for respite care, and I have been impressed every step of the way, from the initial meeting and tour of the home to the way the staff care for Mum as an individual.

The staff at Hartismere Place Care Home have made the difficult and painful process of arranging care for a loved one simpler and with compassion. We have been comfortable knowing that our mother is in good hands and that her needs are understood and well cared for.

The staff are all so very caring and helpful where necessary. I have found nothing but a caring and lovely workforce without exception. Everyone has made me feel at home and are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

My elderly friend came to Hartismere to recover from a broken hip. She was very apprehensive about not being able to return to her own home, but the friendliness of the staff meant that she very quickly settled in, to the extent that after three weeks, she extended her stay! She now says that she's going to miss everyone when she eventually leaves in a couple of weeks. The staff are always friendly, polite and very helpful. My friend enjoys the food and the fact there are so many activities to occupy her still very bright and able mind.

Having previewed Hartismere Place, I felt it would be a place I could trust to care for my husband. I was not disappointed. I believe he was cared for in a suitably sympathetic manner, respecting his degree of dementia for the two weeks of arranged respite. When the time comes for full-time care, I would not hesitate to call on Hartismere Place, again.

This is one of the nicest care homes I have been in, the staff are all very helpful and friendly and also very caring to the residents. The gardens look well maintained and I am sure would be a very inviting place to be in the warmer weather. There is also plenty of parking for visitors.

We're pleased with how our father was welcomed into the home. Most staff are helpful and certainly, medical issues are dealt with very quickly. There is good communication between the staff and ourselves, via emails, phone calls etc and we are able to ask about things at any time. The cafe area is a lovely idea, as the residents can wander down and enjoy a cuppa and they will usually find someone to have a chat with and a friendly smile. Our father went initially for respite but is now hoping to stay.

I'd certainly recommend Hartismere to anyone looking for a care home where you can feel reassured that your family member is safe, secure and supported.

My mother has been a resident at Hartismere Place throughout the pandemic and has always received an excellent level of care and attention. The staff have always shown compassion and affection during extremely difficult times. Whilst the circumstances around my mother's need for constant care are far from what anyone in the family envisaged or wanted the staff at Hartismere Place have provided an environment that puts my mother's needs first and have always tried to provide the best possible home away from home for her.

Hartismere Place has always had a special place in my heart since I used the care home for respite care for my late wife back in 2015. On this occasion, I arranged for my 95 year old Mother to sample the hospitality and comforts for what turned out to be almost an 8 week stay. The hosting, staff demeanour and kindness and all round service extended to Mother during her stay was absolutely unbeatable. Accommodations, facilities and entertainment were first class and the Home was ably led by a great Manager and supporting team. I would not hesitate in recommending Hartismere Place and The Care UK Experience to anyone. I am confident of a return should Mother's health stay good. Bravo and thank you all once again for making my Mother's stay so enjoyable and memorable.

My 92-year-old Mum spent the last couple of years of her life at Hartismere Place and now her best friend is a resident there and I can highly recommend it as a well-run, caring home. When my sister and I looked around homes in the area, we were attracted to the architecture and layout as well as the pleasant atmosphere. The sunny dayroom at the entrance is more like a café than a reception area. Mum used to spend hours there watching what was going on. Sometimes we would have lunch together and I always found the food good. We came to appreciate the care and individual attention provided by the staff and in the last few weeks of her life, we realised it was more than that – it was loving care. Mum passed away and now I visit an old friend of hers from South Yorkshire. On my first visit I was amazed to be welcomed by three staff I knew. The family of my Mum’s friend lives in North Norfolk and in London but they feel the care she receives at Hartismere Place is well worth the journey.

I have been extremely happy here. Very well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Very friendly environment. Spotlessly clean.

My reception by all staff was very good and made me feel confident of being treated well. The facilities and activities were very good and the food and drink were always available. Overall, the atmosphere in the home was always friendly and happy and cheerful. A pleasant situation to be in.

I can’t find fault with this residential home at all. The staff are particularly wonderful, they are so kind and thoughtful towards my mother and nothing is too much trouble. Regular meals with lovely choices, tea and coffee on tap, peace and quiet or chat with others, whatever Mum needs, it’s there for her. Thanks to everyone looking after her, you all deserve medals, especially one member of staff on Ash Suite who has gone above and beyond, thank you!
