Lots of different areas to sit down, relax, spend time with loved ones overlooking the well kept gardens whilst you are visiting.
Beautiful dining areas, with top quality meals.
Theres always a range of activities going on in the home, something to suit everyone if they choose to join in.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We're so happy you felt welcomed and at home here. Our team works hard to keep everything fresh, clean, and comfortable - and it's wonderful to know it shows. We can't wait to see you again soon!
My husband went into Cumnor Hill House for a week respite care. He was quite anxious about going into care for a week but the staff at Cumnor Hill House was so welcoming and helpful that he came back home quite happy from the experience. I can't praise their caring and attention to detail highly enough. As you walk in you are welcome with a warm smile and every body is prepared to help if needed. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff for looking after him so well.
I will be sure to share your kind words with all the staff. We look forward to welcoming him back whenever you need us!
We have had a fantastic experience at Cumnor Hill House. Louise and her team are brilliant. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My Mum has dementia and high levels of anxiety and the whole team has done everything to create a calm, caring environment.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review, your kind words will be shared with the whole team.
Since my friend came to Cumnor Hill House she has had excellent care. Post op hip surgery in January, she was welcomed back like an old friend (she first became a resident in August 2025). Special occasions are marked. All carers very friendly. Good nursing care & medical attention. Lovely physiotherapists. Caters to the individual. Excellent food & drink. Careful security system (car parking not adequate).
We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding our car parking. While we strive to maintain a secure and accessible environment,...
All the staff were very caring during her stay. I was very impressed how welcoming and friendly all the staff were when I arrived. The room was clean, warm and comfortable.
I would certainly recommend this care home.
We are utterly delighted to hear about your positive experience. Thank you for choosing us for your respite care needs.
Thank you so much for making our afternoon lunch such a wonderful experience.
It was an honour to host such a significant milestone event. We will be sure to pass your specific compliments along to...
The team at Cumnor Hill House did a wonderful job helping us to celebrate my dad's birthday with a fantastic meal for the whole family. My dad has only been resident there for a few months but we all really appreciate the team's efforts to make all of us feel like part of the community.
Thank you for your kind words. Family is at the ethos of everything we do here at Cumnor Hill House so we are pleased that you all feel welcome.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. It is the teams pleasure to ensure that Mum had a great day.
Rooms - looked in those close to me which were excellent - mine was awaiting refurbishment?
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for booking in another week. We look forward to welcoming you.
The arranging was very easy.
The room is very comfortable and the fact we can stay there as long as we want makes it all a very relaxing time.
Thanks again to head chef Neal and all the team, a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Thank you for this review. We always endeavour to ensure our fine dining experience is of the highest standards and enjoyed by everyone.
My cousin moved to Cumnor Hill House in December 2024 and the staff could not have been better at supporting both her and me during the move. They made sure that she felt welcomed and took extra time to help her understand the routines. She really enjoys the different activities, especially the dementia choir. Whenever I visit, I too am made welcome. We have enjoyed sharing lunch and high tea in the Bistro area which is a lovely place to sit and chat. It is a great relief to me and my brother that she is well cared for, content and enjoying life as much as she can. Thank you all the staff.
Thank you for your lovely comments which I will pass on to the team. Your cousin has settled into the home wonderfully and it is our privilege to continue to care for her.
The staff at Cumnor Hill House are exemplary. I can't praise their caring, attention to detail highly enough. From the moment we visited to the time my mother spent as a respite resident to try it out, to the time she moved in permanently, they made the process stress free and seamless. Their standards far exceed other care homes. My mother is settled and content which is a huge weight off my mind. With me living abroad, the quick response to emails and keeping me informed of events is vital. I have complete confidence they are taking care of Mum just as I would. Thank you Cumnor Hill House team.
Thank you so much for these kind words. When we admit a resident to Cumnor Hill House we "admit" the family too. It is great to hear that we have exceeded your expectations and that you can be at peace all those miles away. Mum has settled in well, I see her everyday and her smile is radiant. She is enjoying her new life.
We attended the afternoon tea organised by the staff at Cumnor Hill House for my mother's 92nd birthday. It was beautifully laid out, in the library, with a delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes, birthday cake, drinks etc. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. My mother had a wonderful birthday and we all loved sharing it with her.
Thank you. The team work very hard to make these days special and individual for our residents and their families. I am so pleased it was a success.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for your kind comment. We aim to ensure a high service delivery at all times for our residents and their families.
My mum came to Cumnor Hill via hospice, and we were aware that she was end of life. I have worked in care my self for 33 years, so I was a little anxious, but we were welcomed warmly to a home that was beautiful. She had a very nice room looking onto the garden, which was important due to her being in bed. Every concern we had, met with a warm, friendly, and interested approach. All of the team were approachable when it came time for her end of life care. I could not have asked for better and in all the homes I have worked, this is the only one I would have felt I had any unresolved feelings.
Every resident is important to us and meeting their individual needs is our priority and I am delighted you feel we achieved that.
I enjoyed my second respite care stay at Cumnor Hill House. The staff were wonderful. I look forward to staying there again.
It is our privilege and pleasure to be included in our Cumnor Hill House family and look forward to seeing you again.
I stayed at Connors Hill House Residential care home for 3 weeks while my wife had an operation and recuperated with my son and his wife. I found the whole experience an entirely happy time with great facilities, friendly attentive, and highly professional staff. If I ever need to live in a care home full time in this area this Joint would be top of my list for preference.
Thank you for the wonderful comments and the lovely feedback you gave me in person yesterday.
We moved her to Cumnor Hill. Set on beautiful grounds. It was for end-of-life care. However, a month later my Mum is now awake most of the day, can walk, is in the physio gym cycling from a chair, has made biscuits and her BP is down. The Physio has made her much stronger. She doesn't ask to come home and has made a couple of friends. The turnaround has been miraculous. The stimuli and care have turned her life around.
We are so pleased with the change in her well-being. We always strive to ensure residents are given every opportunity to maximise their potential to live life to the full.
Very friendly and efficient staff. A very enjoyable and relaxing visit.
Yesterday was my friend's 90th birthday held in the fine dining area for 8 people. I want to say that from the first time I met the head chef l to organise the meal to the actual day I received nothing but professionalism. The serving staff were amazing and friendly to make this a special day. I travel and eat out frequently here and abroad and I can honestly say the food and presentation were outstanding. The quality you would expect to receive in any fine-dining restaurant. Thank you so much to the head chef. Regards.
Thank you for this amazing review. Your comments have been passed on to the Head Chef who always delivers to the highest standard.

I am a Registered Nurse and have over 30 years of experience in the Health and Social Care Sector. I began working in care homes in 1992 as a staff nurse and have since held various positions. During this time, I gained the Registered Managers Award qualification. I spent five years working as an Area Manager for a provider which ran five care homes in Oxfordshire. In 2006, I commissioned a new 64-bed dementia specialist home, something I achieved while at the same time successfully studying for a Diploma in dementia care.
My wealth of experience within the care industry, and passion for excellence, allow me to create an environment which promotes each individual’s well-being.

There is a very good management team here and we work closely alongside each other to ensure that the company values are maintained.
My role ranges from assisting with enquiries, communicating with relatives and the staff team, and ensuring the team is well informed and the home’s administration is effectively maintained whilst supporting all departments.
In my spare time, I enjoy a variety of activities such as lovely walks in the countryside, cooking, gardening, watching sports and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I started working at Cumnor Hill House in 2017 as a Care Assistant and worked my way up to trainee senior before being offered the role of Hospitality Manager. Having worked in hospitality for over 15 years in England and Spain, I have accumulated many skills that ensure we are delivering excellent customer service to our residents.

I am the Community Customer Relations Manager, here at Cumnor Hill House.

I believe that bringing the local community into the home can bring real benefits to our residents, variety, and choice, and thoroughly enjoy working closely with the great team here at Cumnor Hill House.
