The home even has its own gym with specialist equipment designed for the elderly, including a MOTOmed and the Cumnor Hill House team includes a physiotherapist, personal trainer and holistic and wellness lead.

A full-time events manager at Cumnor Hill House organises a wide variety of activities and events for all residents to enjoy, while the home has its own chauffeur-driven vehicle for residents to use on days out and special occasions.

With an all-inclusive pricing policy at Cumnor Hill House, a single weekly fee covers all care, all facilities and all events.

This includes getting hair and nails done, having a massage, having a drink and nibble in the bar and bistro area looking out onto the landscaped gardens, enjoying fine dining with the family and each week’s entertainment.

The care home has been amazing for mum. The team here genuinely care about each of the residents and nothing is too much trouble. They make every effort to cater to all her needs and welcome family and friends at every opportunity. We are extremely grateful to the team here.

My partner who has Alzheimer's has been in the Cumnor Hill House home since September 2018. He has been treated by all with respect and care. Any little issues have been quickly dealt with to our satisfaction and have been notified with all his ongoing problems. Nothing is too much. A few more carers
might be perfect. On the whole, it is a good home and very difficult to beat. Well done to all.

It's a very difficult decision to put a relative in a care home but this transition was made much smoother by the sympathetic and caring staff at CHH. The atmosphere is more akin to a 5-star hotel and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Everyone is very friendly and my mother has settled in well in
lovely, well-maintained surroundings. Well done everyone for making CHH such a nice place to be!

I would like to thank everyone for their loving care and professionalism. I know that Dad was so grateful to be in such a great care home. Dad lived at the home for over 2 years and constantly said how lucky he was to have landed in such a lovely place.

whom went out of their way to provide care and comfort to myself and Dad in his final days.

Mum has been living here since March. She has settled in well. It has been a huge relief to us to know that Mum is in such a lovely environment, fed well, has choices of things to do and trips out, and we know she is safe and secure. The staff are very caring and helpful. They are professional and responsible
and we cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication. It is always difficult having to make decisions about how to best meet the needs of parents when they should no longer be left living on their own, but we feel we have made a very good choice in deciding on Cumnor Hill House.

My nan was a resident at Cumnor Hill, from June 2018-November 2018. This home is amazing, the people that work here are outstanding and the care they provide is also outstanding. We, as a family, were made to feel so welcome, they can’t do enough for the family or the residents, nothing is too much
for them. Towards the end of her life my nan was treated with such dignity and respect we can’t thank them enough.

My husband is on the nursing floor. We are really impressed by the standard of care provided. I especially like that there are enough carers so that when my husband presses the red button someone comes immediately to help him. The carers are all well trained and friendly - some are exceptional. The
nurses are terrific - one spent ages of her own time helping me complete some very lengthy Continual Care assessment forms; she really went above and beyond to help me. All the staff are very flexible and try and make things work so that the resident is happy. The setting is beautiful and the food is very good. My husband especially appreciates the well-stocked bar!

I have been highly impressed with the care my mum has received here. The staff are extremely professional, well trained and very helpful and compassionate.
My mum settled in very quickly and made friends with other residents.
She joined in with lots of activities and is also more alert and mobile
than when she arrived. Cannot fault the care.

Cumnor Hill House is an exceptional care home.
My mother is enjoying a new lease of life since moving in 5 weeks ago. She has rekindled making friends and eating extremely well. The staff are so caring and nothing is too much trouble and any issues are dealt with swiftly and with a smile. All the residents
are loved, cared for and treated with dignity and respect. Family and friends are made very welcome and I can recommend the delicious meals and cappuccinos. Panoramic views of the gardens and woods beyond from all main reception rooms have the wow factor. All activities, plus hairdressing, manicures, massages and trips out are all offered in the inclusive price. Brilliant. Thanks.

Cumnor Hill surpasses its mission statement of 'exceptional luxury living' by delivering a high standard of 'hotel style living' underpinned by a competent, caring, compassionate and professional nursing/care team. My 87-year-old mother has spent a period of 'respite care' at Cumnor Hill and the improvement
in her health/wellbeing while there was noticeable. As a retired nurse, Cumnor Hill to me is a 'model' for good care of the most vulnerable people in our society. My heartfelt thanks to the Cumnor Hill team, you are inspirational.

I am a Registered Nurse and have over 30 years of experience in the Health and Social Care Sector. I began working in care homes in 1992 as a staff nurse and have since held various positions. During this time, I gained the Registered Managers Award qualification. I spent five years working as an Area Manager for a provider which ran five care homes in Oxfordshire. In 2006, I commissioned a new 64-bed dementia specialist home, something I achieved while at the same time successfully studying for a Diploma in dementia care.


My wealth of experience within the care industry, and passion for excellence, allow me to create an environment which promotes each individual’s well-being.

I lead a team of housekeepers and laundry assistants, to ensure the home maintains its high standards of cleanliness.
Having previously worked in finance and banking this was my first role in the care sector. I find this job so rewarding because of the interactions and friendships that I have built with the residents.
