My mum was struggling living by herself at home. She has several falls and was not eating properly; she was getting more and more depressed by the day. After a long stay in the hospital, she agreed to try a care home. My sister and I visited several care homes that were depressing to visit, let alone
live in. When we found Ryefield, it was like a 5-star hotel. My mum's health and happiness have vastly improved, and she enjoys the company of all the staff and residents.

During the Covid pandemic, my mother has been extremely well cared for at Ryefield Court. I speak to her daily and she has usually taken part in an activity during the day and she speaks highly of the carers. She has had a few medical issues recently and the care staff have called in the appropriate
NHS services and my mother's medical requirements have been identified and dealt with promptly. I would like to particularly mention the manager and her team who are now organising the Skype calls and visits. Last Saturday I visited Mum but the visit was not straightforward as Mum had been ill the previous day and also needed some treatment from the Community Nurse. I am not local and had a 2-hour drive to Hillingdon but kindly, they emailed me at 07:50 in the morning to tell me that Mum was well and my visit could go ahead. They also arranged to extend my visit time because unfortunately, my Mum was being seen by the nurse when I arrived. They were very thoughtful and kind.

Ryefield Court is the true meaning of a care home. It feels and looks like home and the staff really do care. They are like family to the resident when the family cannot be there. Have no hesitation in recommending it to others and the staff have my very grateful thanks for the love shown to my husband.

I am have been so pleased with the care provided to my mother at Ryefield. Really glad to have found Ryefield Court a hidden gem in Uxbridge. Moreover the handling of the Covid -19 crisis and how this has been led by the management team has been exemplary. As a daughter of a resident it has been so
welcome to be kept informed by the Zoom meetings and regular email updates. This has proved very reassuring.
Thank you once again to all those staff at Ryefield Court.

My mother has been in Ryefield Court since late 2019. My mother has dementia and has specific care and dietary needs. Mum needed a residential home which for her had luxurious surroundings and her own bathroom and could cater for her dietary needs as well as somewhere she would be given time and true
care. For her family we wanted Mum to have the best care and best family liaison. This place was and is Ryefield.
Under the fantastic leadership of the manager, and a hardworking, friendly and professional care team, Mum has received the best care from day one at Ryefield. I have no worries about Mum in Ryefield and know she is being treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Ryefield have really taken time to get to know Mum and the care plan she has demonstrates that they know her so well, especially how to communicate with her. they continue to do everything plus more. Thank you. I fully recommend. Family liaison is first class in every way too.

I have nothing but praise for the wonderful staff and carers at Ryefield Court. Their care for my father has been exceptional since his first day with them, and they have coped admirably with the incredibly difficult situation caused by the pandemic. They have excelled at keeping their residents both
safe and comfortable during the crisis, and regular updates to families have been enormously comforting. Before my father became a resident, we asked a number of healthcare professionals for their preference of local care homes and Ryefield Court was consistently mentioned as one of, if not, the best, and I can certainly see why. Not only is the care superb, but the facilities and food are fantastic, and the rooms spacious and always clean. It was not an easy decision to place my father in care, but at least I have the comfort of knowing that I have found the kindest and best place for him. Thank you to everyone at Ryefield Court - you're all amazing!

I visited my friend who is a temporary resident here and the experience was good. The garden is lovely. I was most impressed and it had seating which was a definite plus. I was offered a lovely cup of coffee in a very kind way. Unfortunately, most of my acquaintances probably could not afford the fees.
The safety net has gone for people like us so we have to cut our cloth.

My mother has been resident in Ryefield since March 2018 and has had excellent care in that time. The staff are courteous and very respectful of the residents. We have witnessed members of staff dealing very patiently with residents who have become upset or confused, and they managed to calm them and
get them happy in their environment again.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.919)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.919) out of 10 for Ryefield Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 34 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 34 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.919 for Ryefield Court is calculated as follows: ( (376 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 408 Ratings = 4.919
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ryefield Court is based on 34 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 34 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
