I would and have recommend anyone to stay - either short term or long term.
Thank you everyone for making my stay so memorable.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It means so much to us all to get this great feedback.
My 101 year old mother, who is registered blind, had a two week respite break at Leycester House and received excellent care and attention whilst she was there. The staff were very kind to her and accommodating of the fact she did not have the same mobility as other residents and needed extra help due to her lack of eyesight. It was very reassuring to me to know she was in good hands whilst I was away and could not assist her in the usual way. I could see an improvement in her appearance and demeanour after the two weeks which is testament to the standards at the Care Home. I should certainly suggest someone looking for a high quality home for a relative considers the Leycester.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind review, It was a real pleasure having your Mother with us, Hope to see you both again soon. It is always lovely for the team to hear from loved ones about the difference they make to all our residents lives everyday.
The lovely rooms and shared areas are beautiful of course, but for me it is the staff who stand out. All of them, no exceptions. The care staff, the housekeeping staff, the entertainment team, the bar staff, nothing was ever too much trouble and their kindness shone through always. All led by the manager who always had time for a chat.
When mom left to go home we were both sad and we both still miss the team over a month later. I think that says it all!!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. As you already know, you are both always welcome at Leycester House.
It is hard to put into words just how good Leycester House is. It's not just the incredibly caring and friendly team, or the lovely ambience of the home itself, it's more the willingness to go the extra mile to make things work for your relative and their needs at the time. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff if it will improve the quality of life or care for the resident. It is not just the Carers that care, all the staff, be they housekeeping, hostess, maintenance or management, take the time and trouble to stop and chat, offer to help and give a feeling of support. I never imagined my Mother having to be in a care home but I also never imagined there would be a care home quite like Leycester House where I would be happy for her to live, confident that she is looked after properly, professionally and with genuine kindness. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to visit Leycester House and see for yourself what a Care Home can be like when they get it right.
Thank you so much for these absolutely beautiful words!
I would highly recommend Leycester House, my father moved in, in November 2025. I visited several care homes in the area and thought that their approach would suit our needs the best. They made the whole experience of moving Dad into the home a perfect experience. All the staff are superb; they are friendly, engaging and compassionate, they welcomed Dad and settled him in so quickly. I can't thank them enough for welcoming him and us in their fabulous community.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review, we will share this with the team.
After researching a number of care homes my sister, mum and I chose Leycester House, which has proven to be an excellent decision. The Team led by Josh are brilliant, really communicative, always greet you with a smile and most importantly provide great support and care to the residents.
Mum enthusiastically participates in the numerous activities and entertainment put on every week, she particularly looks forward to getting her hair done at the salon and organised trips out. The Home is spotless and there are always plenty of staff on duty. Mum was nervous to go into Leycester House and care, but is happier than she has been in years. I know my mum is being well looked after and is happy, you can't ask for more than that.
Thank you for such a wonderful review, It's wonderful to see your Mum so happy at Leycester House.
From the day my father moved in, I had a sense that Leycester House was going to be the right place for him. The stated person-centred approach is clearly not just words - staff show a genuine interest in my father and treat him with dignity, kindness and respect. He required intensive support initially, which was delivered with compassion and professionalism, but his independence was encouraged wherever possible. The staff all seem to take great pride in what they do, whatever their roles, and there is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the home with lots going on. My father is invited to get involved, but there is never any pressure to do so. As family members, we have been actively welcomed as partners in my father's care and encouraged to visit as often as we like. Thank you, Leycester House.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It is lovely to receive feedback like this, I will make sure to share it with the Leycester House team.
I would highly recommend Leycester House to anyone looking for a caring and professional home for their loved one. As a family, we visited several homes in the area while searching for the right place for our mum, and we found Leycester House to be exceptional in its patient-centred approach to meeting each resident's individual needs.
The entire team is attentive and aware of Mum's specific needs, and from the moment she arrived they supported her with kindness and patience. They helped her settle in during what was a very difficult and emotional time for our family, providing reassurance and compassionate care throughout.
As a family, we are kept regularly updated about Mum's care, and staff have been very supportive in involving us in any decisions relating to her care and wellbeing. Although it is still early days for Mum at Leycester House, we already feel reassured that she is safe, comfortable, and being very well cared for.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. We will make sure we share this with the team.
My Aunt was so happy and comfortable what started off as a two week stay lasted 6 weeks !
We couldn't recommend Leycester house highly enough its wonderful as are all the staff and amenities
Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to have your Aunt here and glad she enjoyed her stay. You are both welcome at Leycester House anytime!
I am so grateful to Leycester House for the way in which they cared for my 93 year old mother and for me during her recent short stay. When I contacted them they responded very helpfully to the urgency of our situation and fast tracked all the preparation for her arrival, without skipping any of the essential processes. My mother had very complex and fast changing needs, but the staff came to understand them very quickly and got to know my mother as a person, which was not easy becuase of her deteriorating condition. I was very impressed by the communication systems which allowed all the staff to keep track of the care being provided to each individual, and also by the genuine care demonstrated, which was never hurried and always highly skilled and professional. All the staff - nursing, hospitality and management - were amazing. And the catering team were outstanding - the food was brilliant, and every possible dietary requirement catered for.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review, It means so much to us all at Leycester House. I will make sure the whole team get to receive your lovely feedback.
If you are looking for a care or nursing home, stop looking. You won't find one better than Leyceater House. We looked - trust me we looked everywhere! We wanted for Dad to go home and it was a massive deciuson for us, even though we had no choice because his needs are so high. Leyceater House was the only one we wanted Dad to go to and they co.pketely understood how hard it was.The management is excellent and has chosen and works with a simply unsurpassable team. Our Dad comes first, he care staff are compassionate, kind and experienced. They exceptional because the management is exceptional. I would wholeheartedly without reservation recommend Leycester House and thank them all from the bottom of my heart for their kindness and care - oh and the food is amazing!
Thank you so much for your truly beautiful review. The Leycester House team are an incredibly dedicated and caring team, I am so pleased you and your Dad have experienced the best of Leycester.
He ended up staying for 3 years until his passing at the start of September 2025 where Parkinsons finally engulfed him.
Leycester House's biggest asset is without question its staff. There are probably nursing homes with plusher facilities, maybe even a more up market menu but I defy anybody to find me a home with more caring, loving, appreciative, engaging and warm staff. He felt loved and completely safe within days and that never ever changed.
My brothers and I will forever be grateful to the team and will never forget their kindness and in particular over his last days. Leycester House was his home just as his bungalow was & his farm before that. Thank you
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. The team here are incredibly dedicated, and it's lovely to hear that you experienced this first-hand. You and your family are always welcome at Leycester House - perhaps pop in for a drink once our newly refurbished bar & bistro is complete!
Excellent respite care and very friendly welcoming, kind staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience with our respite care services. Our team takes great pride in creating a welcoming and supportive environment, so it means a lot to know that your loved one felt well cared for and that nothing was too much trouble. Your feedback truly brightens our day!
The food and entertainment is very good. If necessary, I would like to come here again.
A wonderful and kind review, thank you so very much. I do hope you will drop in and see us for coffee sometime. In the event you did need to come back to Leycester for care, we would welcome you with open arms, taking care of you was an absolute pleasure. Stay well.
My Mother looks very well cared for. The staff are friendly, accessable and helpful. The facilities are excellent with an atmosphere of cheerfulness and fun. As a GP, this is the best care home I have ever seen.
We sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to provide feedback on our home. Your insights are invaluable to us as we strive to enhance our offerings and ensure that we meet our customers' needs and expectations. We are committed to delivering exceptional service, and your feedback plays a...
Absolutely delighted with everything, care, food and attitude of the staff.
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback, it is very much appreciated.
My 90 year old mum moved into Leycester House in May 2024 when she was struggling badly, both mentally and physically. Almost immediately we saw a drastic improvement in her well-being. Her comfortable room is on the nursing floor and the level of care and nursing is superb. She has a great relationship with the nurses/carers. She looks and acts 20 years younger. The admin/reception/catering staff I've come into contact with are lovely. The private dining room and bar area are attentive. The events organised are frequent and varied. It is a really happy place to visit. I've got my mum back and want to thank everyone at Leycester House for making that happen.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a lovely review, the team will appreciate this wonderful feedback. It is great to hear the positive impact LH is having on your mother and the entire family. Long may it continue!
My father was sadly not at Leycester House for long due to the nature of his illness, but the end-of-life care he received was exemplary. The nursing staff worked proactively and sensitively with the local GP practice to ensure Dad was pain-free and comfortable in his last days. Lots of welcoming smiles for us as family and two staff members in particular could not be more generous with their time. The rooms can sometimes feel quite small but the bar was well stocked and looked after!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, the team will greatly appreciate knowing how much their 'exemplary' care was appreciated. We are all very sorry we didn't get to spend more time with your father as he made a very positive impact on the home in the time he was there. Thank you again from the whole team at Leycester House.
As my husband became increasingly unwell, the time came for him to go to Leycester House, where he had spent a fortnight a couple of months earlier to give me respite from attending to him at home day and night. He knew that he was going to a home that had looked after him beautifully, so he was pleased to go there again. Leycester House has a happy atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and they always greet residents and visitors with smiling faces. He enjoyed the meals, and visitors are encouraged to join the residents for coffee, tea and homemade cake and, if ordered the day before, lunch, which was much appreciated. In fact, visitors are welcome to visit whenever they choose. My thanks go to all the staff for making a previously unknown experience for me and my family as good as it could possibly be.
Thank you very much for your review, the staff will truly appreciate the kind words. It was an honour to take care of your husband and I am so pleased he felt at ease staying with us when he needed the care the most. Do take care.
Nothing appears to be too much trouble and they are always thinking of ways to improve his quality of life. They are also always so kind and supportive to both myself and my elderly Mum. Thank you all so much.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are truly touched to hear and see how happy your dad was to return to Leycester House-it's our goal to make all of our residents feel at home, no matter the circumstances. Knowing that his smile reflected his comfort and joy means the world to us....
