Leycester House in Warwickshire, a stone’s throw from Warwick Castle and Shakespeare’s Stratford, is a purpose-built care home that offers spacious care facilities within a luxury environment.

A team of professional and skilled staff are trained in the delivery of high-quality care to all residents with a strong focus on wellbeing, and all hospitality staff are trained to hotel standards. It makes all the difference.

The pricing policy is all-inclusive at Leycester House – a single weekly fee covers all care, all facilities and all the inspired and stimulating events held in the home. This includes the bar and bistro, fine dining, outings, entertainment, and even getting your hair done.

The policy at Leycester House is to always pay team members above the National Living Wage and employ a higher than average quantity of staff, ensuring all residents' expectations are always met. The team feel valued and appreciated, and this in turn benefits the Leycester House residents.

The home features its own cinema room where residents can relax, a fully stocked bar and bistro, library, private dining room, spa, hairdressing salon and landscaped gardens.

Leycester House has a full-time events manager who organises activities and events for all residents to enjoy each week, while the home has its own chauffeur-driven, high-end vehicle for use on days out and special occasions.

From the moment our extended family met together with the manager when Dad had become acutely unwell we immediately felt we were in safe hands. We were comforted emotionally, impressed and reassured by the professional and clinical approach, but were mostly impressed by the experienced, patient and
kind care extended towards our dear Dad and other family members. This approach did not falter, ever.
Every member of staff, from administrative to catering, cleaning, care and nursing staff were professional, kind and friendly towards Dad and family members; showing respect and understanding and offering reassurance at a time when Dad and all of us were so vulnerable and this continued throughout his stay and during and since his passing. As time passed it was clear that many of the staff had forged close relationships with both Mum and Dad, showing genuine concern and interest and understood Dad's individual needs and his sense of humour.
Above all else, the warmth and kindness shown will stay with us forever.

Following the recent passing of my mother who had been a resident in Leycester House for 3 years I would comment as follows:
From the moment Mum went into the home we knew she was extremely well cared for and valued. All the staff worked hard to help her settle in and for the last 3 years, she has
been very happy. Residents are encouraged to take part in the many and varied activities, although if they would rather be quiet then that is fine, as their wishes are always respected. The home is a beautiful place to be with lovely lounges, rooms, superb food and a lovely bistro - more reminiscent of a 5-star hotel.
Whilst we always knew the care Mum received was second to none we cannot express the gratitude we feel for the love and care shown to her prior to her passing.
From senior management down, no one could have shown more compassion than the wonderful staff at Leycester House and for that, we will always be truly grateful

This is a very honest, genuine review. Leycester House has provided an excellent, professional, nurturing environment for my parents. Unfortunately, my family and I had to say goodbye to my wonderful dad on Christmas Eve. The end of life care my dad received was excellent. The staff provided a supportive,
kind, respectful environment to ensure my dad had a dignified, peaceful death. They continue to support my mum during this very sad time which I know she is extremely appreciative off, as are her family. These are unprecedented times and all the staff at Leycester House have worked relentlessly to continue to deliver excellent care. I can not thank them enough for continuing to support my mum. I would have no hesitation in recommending Leycester House care home to anyone considering/needing nursing care. Thank you to all the staff.

At one stage I was under the impression that all care homes were very much the same.
This is defiantly not the case.
Leycester House is a very special place. My father was at Leycester House for a limited period of time, but I was taken on a conducted tour of this home 12 months prior to his admission.
On his discharge from hospital, there was only place I wanted him to go to, and Leycester House was it. First impressions do count. All staff (and I do mean all) were so helpful and comforting with Dad, and were always very supportive with myself at this very difficult time, not to mention the Covid restrictions in place. I always knew Dad was in the very best place for all his needs, 24 hours a day. The receptionist, management team and the nursing staff on the first floor looking after Dad, a very big thank you!
All the members of staff are a credit to Leycester House.

This is a beautiful care home that provides a place of comfort to our senior citizens. Mum was resident for approximately 15 months in total and resided on both the residential and nursing floors. Her room was extremely comfortable and she enjoyed the view over the lovely courtyard garden, where she
would enjoy the passing seasons, birds and daily life being played out. The carers really got to understand mum, and it was a relief to know she was there. Kindness and welcome were extended to us as a family and Leycester House felt like her home, albeit not the one she really wanted to be in. Initially, Mum was encouraged and enjoyed participating in the activities that were offered. Lockdown altered the nature of the entertainment and Mum's increasing frailty made her involvement more difficult. Mum was cared for tenderly and treated with dignity until she sadly passed. I would recommend that anyone seeking care for someone they hold dear, look carefully at what is offered here. It's a lovely home.

Sadly my father was only a resident for a month but our family were very impressed with all aspects of the home. The staff, from top to bottom, were wonderful, nothing was ever too much trouble and communication was fantastic. I have already recommended to others.

The Leycester House team are amazing! I cannot thank them all enough for the fantastic care that my mum has received since she moved into Leycester House in January 2020. The staff are so caring, so patient and understanding - they arrange such fun activities for the residents, and Mum says the food
is delicious too! It is great to see all the photos from the daily activities too. The facilities are so good - really homely - and it is lovely that my mum could bring some of her personal belongings - pictures and furniture to add to her room. Mum is able to have her hair and nails done regularly too, and has been supported when she has needed any medical care. Through Covid, the whole staff team have been absolutely incredible to ensure that my mum has been kept safe and well during what has been the most challenging time for them. They also organised a special outside lodge so that we have still been able to see Mum during the pandemic. A huge thank you to you all!

I was very tired when I entered Leycester House. During my stay I became more relaxed, I was sleeping well and I began to wake up earlier, feeling refreshed and ready to get up. I didn't need my alarm to wake me, I began to wake refreshed. My family began to say I was sounding much better, relaxed and
cheerful. My husband came with me, he has remained whilst I prepare a bedroom for him on the ground floor. My husband is 92 years and I am 79 years old.

My mother moved to Leycester House following a bad fall 2 years ago. She was 96 years old. Mum spent just over two happy years at Leycester House, surrounded by incredibly caring, flexible and understanding staff. We always felt welcome to visit mum, who died there peacefully just after her 98th birthday.
I miss her very much and I also miss the loving, kind and funny members of staff whom I met.

The manager and the staff in the dementia wing provide love and care in extremely trying conditions. My mother who passed away early Tuesday morning spent the last year of her life there. I have nothing but praise to give. Leycester House feels more like a personal hotel than a care home. I am so glad
that we chose Leycester House - unsurpassed care. And I have very happy memories of her birthday last which we spent with her. Very many thanks and highly recommended.

My mum was a resident at Leycester House for one year. She received excellent care during this time. There was a welcoming atmosphere so that it was always nice to come for a visit. Rooms were very clean and furnished to a high standard. Meals were nicely prepared and looked delicious, and there was
a good variety despite my mum‘s special dietary requirements. Staff was very friendly, dedicated and approachable. They made every effort to keep my mum happy. Events, such as the music on Thursday evenings, created a particular community among residents, family and friends.
Unfortunately, my mum passed away in January 2020 after she was diagnosed with an illness. She spent her final days in peaceful surroundings, which was very helpful for us in this difficult time.
I can only say Leycester House is a very special place and I could not have chosen anywhere better.

Mum has been at Leycester House for 18-months and every day has been wonderful. The staff are kind, caring, professional and friendly to both residents and family visitors alike. Facilities are excellent with all the equipment required to look after a wide range of residents with different needs. The
food is of a very high standard, and there are many forms of entertainment to stimulate residents and to make their stay enjoyable. Visiting is a pleasure, and the staff are always welcoming.
The current Covid-19 crisis has been dealt with extremely professionally by the staff who are open and communicative with family keeping us informed of how they are managing the situation.
I cannot speak highly enough of the management and staff at Leycester House - they are fantastic!

My mother moved into Leycester House 3-months ago. She has received excellent care and has felt comfortable and safe at a time when I and other family members and friends are not able to visit her. Before the Coronavirus lockdown occurred, I witnessed a great friendliness and caring attitude toward
both my mother and myself. The staff were always helpful and willing to talk when I visited, and this has continued while we have been unable to visit. The management team have kept relatives informed of events and progress during the lockdown, and this has provided a great sense of confidence and security in the way the home is run and the residents are being cared for. I, like many others, am very grateful for this. Thanks to them all.

A fantastic care home which is well designed and well run. The environment is warm and welcoming and both care and pastoral services are excellent. Residents are respected and treated as adults. There are plenty of activities and all are encouraged to attend and/or take part. Good quality food and a
nice bar. The all-in pricing is great for visitors and enables residents to host their loved ones.

Mum and Dad have lived at Leycester House for over two years and the care they have received has been outstanding. They both have dementia and the care they receive has really put my mind at rest that they are happy, safe and secure. The team looking after them are fantastic and so caring. Mum has really

My ninety-three-year-old father has been a resident of Leycester House now for four months and I cannot say enough how wonderful it is and how well he has, and is being cared for and supported. Before entering Leycester House he had been living on his own for many years and I was concerned about how
he would adapt but I needn't had worried as the Leycester House staff have been absolutely outstanding caring for his every need and he settled in easily. This level of care and support is provided by the whole staff whatever position they hold and I can't believe how fortunate both my father and myself have been in selecting Leycester House. While the staff are the outstanding stars, all other aspects of Leycester House including the facility, food, activities etc are simply excellent, this is supported by good communications by the management to myself to ensure I'm fully aware of what's going on both with my father and at Leycester House as a whole.

Caring, kind and wonderful home - couldn’t wish for anything more in terms of Mum’s care. Mum is on the residential floor and is treated with respect and kindness even though she sometimes needs to be reminded about her P’s and Q’s.
