My 85-year-old mother entered this care home after being discharged from hospital on 6th September. She had lung cancer and was in the last stages of life. I was so impressed at this care home.
The building was beautifully appointed and scrupulously clean throughout.
The staff were superb at all levels and were very kind and supportive to both my mother and the friends and relatives that came to visit her.
The hospitality provided to visitors is quite amazing. Visitors can have meals in the dining room with residents or have a drink at the bar (coffee tea, wine, beer etc.) and this is all included in the fee paid by the resident.

When my mother became very ill on Sunday, 17th I was provided with a separate room to sleep in so that I could be close to her 24 hours a day. The staff offered me meals and drinks and brought them to me whenever I wanted. Even a full English breakfast was provided. I stayed there for three days until my mother died and almost felt like a resident.

When I was called for open heart surgery, I couldn't go home so looked for respite. Leycester House was our first choice. Very welcoming, friendly and they had a clear perception of just what we would need. The whole ambience, high standard of care and support are apparent. The many staff work together and clearly support each other. The home and décor is a delight to live in with every luxury laid on to make residents feel valued and totally cared for. A variety of entertainment, activities, cinema, spa and hairdresser are freely available. Leycester House is a top quality care home which we could not speak highly enough - more a luxury hotel with first class care included.

I was in Leycester House for six weeks respite care following a broken ankle. The care and attention from all the staff made my stay a happy and comfortable experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Leycester House to others or to stay there again if the need arose.

Welcoming, cheerful, kind, caring, clean, helpful, patient are some of the words to describe the staff and environment of Leycester House. Nothing is too much trouble for any staff member whatever their role or position. They take great care of dad who has Parkinson's disease and appreciates his sense of humour which thankfully he still has.

I can not praise Leycester House enough for the Care that they provide for my husband. The staff here are so friendly and approachable. Whether carers/nurses/ cleaning etc all the staff always have something to say to you and I feel they are almost an extended family. I never worry about my husband as the level of care he receives is excellent and he is always washed and dressed smartly whenever we drop in. He is so well looked after and very happy which is so important to me.
The care home is beautifully laid out with well designed en-suite bedrooms with ample room for someone like my husband in a wheelchair. When we visit as well as the bistro bar there are also a number of lounges to sit in where you can just chat or play games.

All in all a lovely environment to happily leave a loved one.

My Mother had been a private resident at a nearby care home, but prices were rising sharply while food, care and condition were all deteriorating - staff were exiting too.
We found Leycester House just as it was opening late summer 2016, it is a private care home and we cannot recommend it too highly. Its location is strange but its services and general ethos are outstanding.
It is new and fresh, with all the qualities + facilities + feel of a 4* hotel. More importantly, the quality of their staff, and consequently the depth of their care, is truly special, personal and sensitive.
In addition, there is plenty for residents to do, if they wish. Trips to the local racecourse, a nearby Safari Park, shopping etc or in-house entertainers or daily games, say Scrabble. There is great social interaction generally.

It is wonderful to find somewhere for elderly loved ones, who now need first class care, who deserve a good quality of living and who want appropriate activity and fun.

I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the care my mother-in-law has received at Leycester House. She has moderate dementia and had been in another local care home for just over a year when we realised that they were no longer meeting her needs. The move was the best decision we ever made in the course of her care.

The staff are comprised of genuinely warm, caring individuals, and they've gone beyond the standard level of care in so many ways. They communicate honestly in a frank way when family members have concerns and initiated talks with her physician to investigate medication changes in the hope of increasing her awareness. They included her on outings even at the stage where that was obviously exceedingly difficult for staff members. Most importantly, they've connected with her as a person, even as her dementia has progressed to a point where she is no longer responsive. We will never forget their kindness and professionalism.

My father moved to Leycester House soon after its opening, in September 2016, and I have nothing but the highest praise for the care he is receiving. His room is very comfortable, clean and light, the standard of the food is very high, but above all, the nurses/carers are truly excellent - he is treated with kindness, respect and genuine warmth by all members of staff.
It is hugely reassuring for me to know that he is being looked after so well and that his needs are dealt with so promptly and sensitively.

We as a family are always made to feel extremely welcome, never more so than today when we celebrated his 90th birthday.

Visited in December and the whole set up of Leycester House from the ambiance, the food and drinks to the staff and residents is second to none. Everyone was so happy and cheerful which brought a smile to my face seeing such harmony in place. Entertainment for the residents was professional and of a high standard, from talking to the residents they said they looked forward to regular events.

My mother went to Leycester House as respite at first on the 8th December. I arrived from Brazil, where I reside, to find her being so well looked after. We decided to make it long term. She stayed at Leycester House until the day she passed away on 30th December. I can't only thank Leycester House from administration/nursing/carers/cookers. Every single human being that works for them, love and care. I am truly thankful to all.

Having moved my aunt from a previous home I find Leycester House is an outstanding caring residential home with excellent nursing care. She is much happier and less distressed. The food is excellent with plenty of choice and visitors are made very welcome and can often be invited to stay at mealtimes. I would highly recommend Leycester House and the facilities it offers to residents i.e. Spa room, hair dressing salon, cinema, chiropody plus a bar in the main lounge for residents and visitors. It is a pleasure to visit. A 5 star residential home.

I cannot speak too highly of Leycester House. Although my relative was only resident for 2 weeks for palliative care, the care and attention both my relative and we, his family received, was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. The staff held our hands, so to speak, and led us on a very gentle and loving journey towards my relative's end. The care and consideration shown was unbelievable. I have never seen anyone with so much personal hygiene care given in their final days. It was wonderful for us as a family to see our relative in such a good condition given his palliative status and imminent death. He was made so comfortable and we are now fortunate to be able to say that our relative had a 'good death'. Everyone should have this sort of experience, what a team they are at Leycester House, we cannot thank them enough.
