Leycester House in Warwickshire, a stone’s throw from Warwick Castle and Shakespeare’s Stratford, is a purpose-built care home that offers spacious care facilities within a luxury environment.

The pricing policy is all-inclusive at Leycester House – a single weekly fee covers all care, all facilities and all the inspired and stimulating events held in the home. This includes the bar and bistro, fine dining, outings, entertainment, and even getting your hair done.

The policy at Leycester House is to always pay team members above the National Living Wage and employ a higher than average quantity of staff, ensuring all residents' expectations are always met. The team feel valued and appreciated, and this in turn benefits the Leycester House residents.

The home features its own cinema room where residents can relax, a fully stocked bar and bistro, library, private dining room, spa, hairdressing salon and landscaped gardens.

Leycester House has a full-time events manager who organises activities and events for all residents to enjoy each week, while the home has its own chauffeur-driven, high-end vehicle for use on days out and special occasions.

Lovely care home with a great friendly feel to it. They take great care of my mum and the nurses under the Lead Nurse's wing are all wonderful. There are special little things that the carers do that make such a difference from bringing their children into holding mum's hand when she has her leg dressed,
and hugs at night. As family members, they are all very caring toward us as well, and we are grateful to all the staff for their kindness.
The food is lovely and the afternoon teas are a real treat which also goes towards making visits a little different. Thank you, everyone!

My father became a resident on the nursing floor at Leycester House in March 2022. Leaving his home after 61 years was not easy for dad but everyone at Leycester House went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition for him. The whole process was dealt with the utmost sensitivity, dignity and respect.


Choosing

Leycester House was not a difficult decision to make as mum has been a resident receiving 5 star care here since January 2020. I cannot speak highly enough about the incredible care and service every single person who works here provides. It is so reassuring to know that both my parents and all the residents are being so well cared for by the most amazing team!

Leycester House is a purpose-built nursing/care home with all the facilities that we required. The staff go above and beyond normal standards. The food and service are first-rate. My partner has been made so welcome that I do not stress anymore about her well-being.

From our very first contact with the staff at Leycester House, it was clear that this was a dedicated and highly professional team. From the first assessment visit to dad in his own home, good relationships were formed and dad was treated with warmth and respect. His admission was arranged at short
notice because of the urgency of care for him. However, no corners were cut and everyone went the extra mile to ensure his needs were met. The environment and facilities are top class, comfortable and well looked after. All staff were delightful and worked hard to put dad at his ease. The nursing care was excellent. The nursing staff always had time to talk and explain what was happening. They offered so much support both to dad and to me. I could not have faced the final stages of dad's life without their care and encouragement.

After a prolonged period of hospital treatment, it became clear my mother would need 24-hour nursing care upon discharge. When I began the search for a suitable home nearer to myself, several friends recommended I consider Leycester House based on their own experience. From the very first contact and
without exception, I found a highly professional, caring and compassionate team from the manager down. My many questions were answered openly, honestly and with patience. I was given help, support and reassurance with each stage of the admission process. Since Mum moved in four weeks ago, I have witnessed her improvement due to the excellent care she has received. She is treated with dignity and genuine compassion. The facilities and standard of care are excellent. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I feel included in every aspect of mum's care and that we are working together to ensure this chapter of her life is the best it possibly can be, which is so precious. Thank you!

Leycester house was the very best of all the care homes my sister and I visited when we had to find residential care for our mum. We have never doubted our choice. I can remember being told at the time of admission of the seamless transition from residential care to nursing care etc - something we thought
at the time was a good thing - but now realise it is one of the most important considerations.
Other reviewers have rightly praised the overall care and facilities. For those looking for nursing care for a loved one, Leycester House provides professionalism, love, dignity and respect, and all-around excellence.
Special thanks to those behind the scenes who keep rooms cleaned, clothes laundered, hair coiffed and food fresh, tasty and carefully prepared when eating is difficult. We are indebted and will miss you all.

My mother is here for respite. Care is very good, well organised and staff are friendly. Meals are excellent and drinks are always available. My mother has taken part in some of the activities, which I didn't think she would. The communal areas are very nice and spacious and well furnished. Thank you.

My beloved aunt became a resident at Leycester House shortly before her 101st birthday and died there recently aged 104. I can't fault the wonderful care which she had there. Living a long way away, we couldn't visit as often as we would have wanted, but I was always more than satisfied that she was
happy and well looked after. The facilities are excellent - the bistro, parties in the private dining room, and fabulous birthday cakes! There's a weekly programme of activities and entertainment, a hairdresser and a beauty salon.
So a huge thank-you to all of the staff at Leycester House for their friendship and love for my aunt, for the cuddles, and for sitting with her at the end. We shall miss them.

My father recently stayed at Leycester House for respite purposes.
After researching a few local Care Homes and careful consideration, we couldn't have been happier with the care dad received during his stay.
The home is a beautiful place with fantastic facilities and activities for residents to participate
in if they so wish - we asked that dad be encouraged to join in - he was and really enjoyed what he took part in.
Each time I met with staff at Leycester House I felt reassured dad was in the best place. The carers not only cared for him but invested time in him - I know they engaged in great conversation and ensured he had an enjoyable stay.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to any family looking for care for a loved one.

I stayed at Leycester House for 3 weeks, needing nursing care following an operation. The staff were all lovely and I received all the care I needed, willingly given 24/7. The food was excellent, three cooked meals a day if one so desired and very good quality.
My wife was also impressed with the help
she was given when coming and going to visit.
Meeting other residents in the large sitting room for chats and a glass of wine confirmed the friendly atmosphere and satisfaction of other residents with Leycester House.
I think it is safe to say that I would be hard-pressed to find a better home.

My mother needed respite care for 2-3 weeks, and Leycester House had been highly recommended to us.


We were a bit apprehensive about respite care, so I decided to visit before my mother stayed there. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, and everything seemed clean and efficient.


During

her stay my mother was very happy that she had a lovely sunny room, all the staff were kind, and the food was very good too.

When my husband and I were looking for a care home in the area we live, we visited at least 5 homes. Leycester House was head and shoulders above all the others. From our initial enquiry to my mother-in-law moving in, was exceptional. The team took time to understand her needs, likes/dislikes, hobbies
etc which really made us feel reassured this was the right decision. The team are so caring, happy and supportive. The home itself, in our mind, is like an all-inclusive hotel.

I am very confident to recommend Leycester House as a safe, comfortable and enjoyable place to stay or live. We had a short stay at Leycester House to recuperate after a bereavement. The staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Throughout our time there we felt that everybody was
understood and appreciated as an individual and that the staff were both sympathetic to our needs and skilled at meeting them. The surroundings are lovely and everything was spotlessly clean. The food and drink were excellent, and always on offer when you wanted them. We enjoyed the entertainment programme, which gave us lots of opportunities to meet other residents and make friends. We were able to appreciate the real sense of community that exists at Leycester House, and all this was achieved despite the continuing Covid restrictions.

The team could not have been more helpful when Mummy unexpectedly needed convalescent care. The speed and efficiency was especially impressive with the extra demands of Covid-19 protocols. Mummy could not fault the care she received. Her only negative comment was that she found the food disappointingly
dull and over-salted for her taste, and she felt it did not match the very high standard of everything else at the home.
It was wonderful to know she was in such safe and caring hands. I was particularly impressed by the proactive approach in medical matters (and drug re-ordering). The other real strong point was their communications, not only with us children but also within the home. It was all very joined-up and everyone seemed to know what was going on at all times.

This is my first experience of respite care and necessitated by a lengthy period of isolation between hospital procedures and the necessity for help with transport to and from hospital appointments. All my requirements have been handled in a professional, caring and supportive way. I am encouraged to
use my call button for any need, big or small, and the response time is reassuringly short. Nothing is too much trouble. My ground floor room has access to outside space and puts me in mind of a comfortable hotel rather than my preconceptions of care home accommodation. Meals are also on a par with restaurant fare - who would expect dressed crab in a care setting? Leycester House has made a stressful period bearable and I will be eternally grateful.

Moving our lovely mum into a care home during this dreadful pandemic was a heart-wrenching decision but the love and care she has received at Leycester House has been second to none. Mum spent time on the residential floor before needing to move to full nursing care and the staff on both floors have
given such amazing care and it is obvious that they form very special relationships with each of the residents. Nothing is too much trouble even though Mum's care is now quite challenging. As a family, we can always ensure a friendly reassuring voice both on the phone and support during visits. We know that Mum is getting the very best care possible from a very special team of professionals.

When it was necessary for Dad to receive nursing care in 2017, Mum promised him the best because he deserved the best, and Leycester House didn't disappoint. It was clear that Dad was in good hands from day one, and we were all made to feel most welcome when we visited. Provision of delicious refreshments,
and being able to share special family occasions together with Dad was so important. We appreciated so many things, including the provision of transport to appointments and favourite places, and the little things that added to Dad's quality of life, including hair and nail cutting and weekly newspapers. As a family, we never had to worry about the care Dad was receiving, even in the last year when visiting has been restricted. When Dad became more unwell and sadly died recently, we were so impressed by the dedicated care of the nursing and care staff and the efforts of everyone to keep in close contact with us. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we can't thank you enough.

I’ve worked in the care sector for over 15 years, starting as a Carer and progressing through roles including Senior Carer, Nurse, Nurse Manager, Deputy Manager & General Manager. Each role has been incredibly rewarding.
