Leycester House provided a kind, caring and stimulating home for our mother. The facilities are all excellent and the staff, in all areas, always friendly and eager to help. Our mother felt at home in Leycester House and it was a great comfort to her family that she was so well cared for in a safe environment and all her needs were catered for. Thank you.

If only all care homes were run like this one, the world would be a better place. You have marvellous management and staff. It doesn't matter what sort of day they have got they are always smiling and ready to help you. My husband has been going for respite since you opened. He said he hoped he wouldn't have to go anywhere else. It is like home from home, from cleaners to the chef, to reception and carers. Thank you. It makes my life much easier.

The manager and staff of Leycester house are the best I have ever encountered. My husband suffered a severe stroke in 2017 and a care home was his worst nightmare to be suffered in the event. The last 12 months, due to the loving care and dedication of their excellent staff, were the very best they could possibly have been. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The quality of these surroundings, the food, the entertainment is all excellent. But for my husband, who always jealously guarded his privacy, the last few days of his life were spent being cared for and cherished by their wonderful staff. He was kept comfortable and free from pain. They simply give everything they have to make their residents content, peaceful and loved whilst giving every support to their family members. They are literally angels on this Earth. I have never seen this anywhere else. I can only give them my heartfelt and grateful thanks for making my husband so comfortable, with every small detail attended to with such kind thought. Leycester House I applaud you and sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My Mum has been a resident at Leycester House for just over 12months. In May we all celebrated her 100th Birthday when all her family from near and far were made to feel special, very welcome and a wonderful buffet was provided for all to enjoy. Sadly Mum passed away on July 24th, I can’t thank the manager and the teams enough, also the night staff enough for all the love, care and support they gave before and throughout this sad time. Mum was always treated with dignity and respect, the love, laughter, hugs and kisses will stay in our hearts for ever. Thank you.

We moved my mother to Leycester House in January 2018 as she suffers with dementia. The level of care she receives is wonderful. Mummy always looks beautifully dressed and is regularly stimulated with a wealth of activities. There is a very friendly and caring feel about the home and it is a pleasure to visit her. It has given the family complete peace of mind. We would recommend it highly.

My wife, who had suffered from dementia for six years, stayed for a week's respite in December 2017 before moving to Leycester House permanently in January this year. She settled in immediately and thought of the home as her home. She was always happy and smiling when I visited and was pleased to see me and knew my name but never thought of leaving. She was stimulated, ate well with a lot of assistance from the staff and could not have received better care.

Very sadly she died in April very unexpectedly and I can give no higher praise than to say that during her last hours the care was as good as at the very best hospices.

A very short visit to my friend ... who is extremely ill ... so only stayed for an hour. We were met on arrival and encouraged to have tea/coffee and cake ... these were excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional and informative. The whole ambience and atmosphere is calm, peaceful and supportive. My friend is beautifully cared for in a well-appointed room.

We found Leycester House beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The rooms were tasteful and large beds a bonus.
All the staff were delightful and could not be more helpful.

The evenings were quiet and more stimulation would have been a bonus for dad. He was very content here and looked very healthy on leaving. Many thanks to all the staff.

More of a boutique hotel for the elderly than a care home. Have already booked my room for 2038. Hopefully.

Leycester House care is the best care home ever. My father had been in two other care homes before the Leycester House care home, the difference was the hostel in a third world country and a 5-star hotel. The Leycester House care home being the 5-star hotel.
The staff are amazing, supportive and really do care about their residents.
Their standards are extremely high.
Both my parents died while in the Leycester House care home, it was expected but the compassion and support they gave my family was outstanding and beyond the call of duty.
They really do care, unlike other care homes I've seen, which, quite frankly, you wouldn't want to be in dead let alone alive and ill.
If you are looking for a care home, this is the only one I would recommend.
Your relatives will be more than cared for.

They even made my dad's feet look good, quite an achievement, trust me.

Having recently spent a week at Leycester House after a major operation, I can honestly say it was the best place for me to recoup. Excellent care in nice surroundings. All the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

I was made to feel very welcome. The only area I felt needed attention was the cleaning of my room, bathroom and my bed wasn't always made.

The care our old neighbour is experiencing is second to none. She has settled in well into an atmosphere more like a 5* hotel than a care home. Staff are friendly and frequently check she is ok and will chat for a while. Our neighbour feels she is part of a new family. Activities keep her busy and trips out make her aware of the outside world still. After staying for lunch one day, I can confirm the food is to hotel standards with choices at all meals and special requirements always available. Super place!

Two visits to Leycester House for post-operative recuperation on both occasions the care and physical environment have been excellent.
The surroundings and food are the equivalent of four-star hotel facilities.

Overall Experience

Both my parents spent their last three weeks of life in the Leycester House. The standard of care was excellent. Apart from being highly competent the nurses were empathetic and looked after the family as well. They kept Mum and Dad as comfortable as possible in their last days. The nurses were highly experienced and kept us up to date with our Mum and Dad's situation. We were provided with a room when we knew that our parents were likely to pass away and had free reign of the kitchen to make coffee, tea and toast. The Head nurse even came in on her day off when she found out that Mum had passed away.

The surroundings in the care home are luxurious. Visitors are fed and when there were a few of us visiting we were given a private room where we had lunch. I would highly recommend this care home.

Overall Experience

My mother moved in as a permanent resident for nursing care in August. The care has been superb. Staff are gentle, patient and clearly care about the residents. The nursing care is extremely competent and compassionate. Records are detailed and regularly updated. I am looked after too, plenty of drinks and food on offer whenever I come.

The food is restaurant quality, delicious, freshly cooked and well presented. The chef produced an excellent gluten-free meal for my coeliac daughter when she visited with no fuss. It is clear that staff know the residents well and make every effort to care for them as individuals. They are constantly busy but always make time to speak and greet me by name whenever I visit.

I am very confident that Mum is receiving the best possible care. Leycester House is one minute from the M40 junction which makes my local journey speedy from wherever in the district I may be travelling.
