Augustus Court care home, located in the picturesque village of Garforth, provides residential and residential dementia care designed around the individual needs of each person.

My wife and I were only able to stay for a short while though our intention was to stay longer. This was partly due to my son-in-law having a nasty accident and causing our plans to go hay-wire. Nevertheless, in that short stay, we were both impressed with everything as you will see form below.

My father has been unable to look after himself for some considerable time. After much persuasion, he agreed to one week's respite. He has now stayed 3 weeks and will be signing on the dotted line to stay permanently. The home has everything he needs. His nature is very volatile and he can be unpleasant
to people very easily. Whilst he still has this streak in him he has no reason to act in this manner. The staff handle him in a very caring and understanding way without allowing him not to misbehave. Long may this continue.

Mum had lived in her own home until she was 92 and had never wanted to go into residential care but she came to realise that she needed 24-hour care and she settled very well. The care she had was excellent. The staff were extremely caring and couldn't do enough for her. The meals were excellent, decor
unbelievable and facilities outstanding. During her final days, the staff not only looked after her with great compassion but they did everything possible to help my husband.

This was my first time to stay in a care home for respite. My initial concerns diminished when I first visited and had no hesitation of saying I would like to stay. Beautiful home, polite and caring staff and all very obliging. Should the need arise, I will be happy to return to return for another stay.

Having visited the website and following a visit, we selected Augustus Court Care Centre for respite care for my mother to allow my husband and I to join family on holiday. From the start, we were impressed with the appearance, ambience and staff as so was my mother. This helped reduce, if not remove,

Dad decided at very short notice that he wanted to go into respite care whilst I and my brother were on holiday. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in helping me facilitate his stay. The staff were all very kind and caring. They made us feel welcome and all seemed happy in their work and wanted my mother to be happy. The food was lovely and my mother definitely enjoyed being looked after for her short respite stay. She has already booked another "holiday".

I've been in the home for just 2 weeks and so far, so good. My room, the homes facilities are really nice, even though I can't always make the most of them. The staff and carers look after us well. The meals are good, although, a bit too 'international' for my taste.

My mother-in-law was not sure what to expect when she left hospital and transferred to this care home, but everything has been seamless. My mother was initially in the home for respite care following the death of my father. She has been made to feel so welcome and at home. The staff are all very kind and helpful and they have taken great care to integrate her with other residents and help her socialise after a traumatic time. She has
now decided to become a permanent resident. I am so pleased as I feel happy in the knowledge that she is safe, secure and in a beautiful home where she will be well cared for and looked after.

A stunning environment for residents - beautifully styled, light and airy with excellent facilities. At the time of writing, only the ground floor restaurant is used but upstairs lounges are available for residents use. Rooms very in size but all are well furnished and comfortable. The rooms with patio
doors are particularly good although there is access to the gardens from two lounges with plenty of seating. It seems well managed with cheerful, caring staff although communication could perhaps be improved at times.

Augustus Court has proved to be such a special, fantastic place for my grandmother. Because she is so well cared for it has meant that she has got more independence back and now enjoys the company of other residents. The friendly approachable and caring staff make Augustus Court such a lovely place.
They have helped my grandmother to feel content, happier and like she has got some of her life back.
