This brand new facility offers first class accommodation. The rooms are well laid out and are tastefully decorated with all modern conveniences.

The staff are superb. Friendly and caring with the clear ethos throughout to make the resident feel safe and cared for.

The building is well designed and finished to a high standard. It is in a quiet location with really lovely gardens.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone.

My husband for the first time was happy and content away from home for respite. I was happy knowing he was well looked after. This has been a happy experience for us both and I would and have highly recommended Augustus Court.

Augustus Court is beautiful - the rooms are elegant and the whole design and furnishings make the place feel like a 5-star hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly and, for the majority, very competent and hard working. (They had to be - staff shortage).
At times, though, I witnessed what appeared to be a lack of training on the part of one or two of the younger care staff. Sometimes, they were (unintentionally I'm sure) discourteous and they failed to notice or respond to some of the residents' needs.

I was also aware of a chronic shortage of staff.

My wife and I were only able to stay for a short while though our intention was to stay longer. This was partly due to my son-in-law having a nasty accident and causing our plans to go hay-wire. Nevertheless, in that short stay, we were both impressed with everything as you will see form below.

My father has been unable to look after himself for some considerable time. After much persuasion, he agreed to one week's respite. He has now stayed 3 weeks and will be signing on the dotted line to stay permanently. The home has everything he needs. His nature is very volatile and he can be unpleasant to people very easily. Whilst he still has this streak in him he has no reason to act in this manner. The staff handle him in a very caring and understanding way without allowing him not to misbehave. Long may this continue.

Mum had lived in her own home until she was 92 and had never wanted to go into residential care but she came to realise that she needed 24-hour care and she settled very well. The care she had was excellent. The staff were extremely caring and couldn't do enough for her. The meals were excellent, decor unbelievable and facilities outstanding. During her final days, the staff not only looked after her with great compassion but they did everything possible to help my husband.

Having visited the website and following a visit, we selected Augustus Court Care Centre for respite care for my mother to allow my husband and I to join family on holiday. From the start, we were impressed with the appearance, ambience and staff as so was my mother. This helped reduce, if not remove, any anxiety on mother's behalf whilst at the home.

This was my first time to stay in a care home for respite. My initial concerns diminished when I first visited and had no hesitation of saying I would like to stay. Beautiful home, polite and caring staff and all very obliging. Should the need arise, I will be happy to return to return for another stay.

Dad decided at very short notice that he wanted to go into respite care whilst I and my brother were on holiday. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in helping me facilitate his stay. The standard of accommodation is excellent and I knew he would be well cared for which gave me peace of mind.

The staff were all very kind and caring. They made us feel welcome and all seemed happy in their work and wanted my mother to be happy. The food was lovely and my mother definitely enjoyed being looked after for her short respite stay. She has already booked another "holiday".

I've been in the home for just 2 weeks and so far, so good. My room, the homes facilities are really nice, even though I can't always make the most of them. The staff and carers look after us well. The meals are good, although, a bit too 'international' for my taste.

My mother-in-law was not sure what to expect when she left hospital and transferred to this care home, but everything has been seamless. The home is of an excellent standard, her room is nice and the staff and carers brilliant. She enjoys her meals and gets on really well with other residents. All in all, a real "home from home".

My mother was initially in the home for respite care following the death of my father. She has been made to feel so welcome and at home. The staff are all very kind and helpful and they have taken great care to integrate her with other residents and help her socialise after a traumatic time. She has now decided to become a permanent resident. I am so pleased as I feel happy in the knowledge that she is safe, secure and in a beautiful home where she will be well cared for and looked after.

Overall a very good experience, once I had settled down, everything is kept nice and runs smoothly but too far to walk to the nearest pub. The other residents and staff are very nice and saving my room and place in the restaurant for my next visit.

A stunning environment for residents - beautifully styled, light and airy with excellent facilities. At the time of writing, only the ground floor restaurant is used but upstairs lounges are available for residents use. Rooms very in size but all are well furnished and comfortable. The rooms with patio doors are particularly good although there is access to the gardens from two lounges with plenty of seating. It seems well managed with cheerful, caring staff although communication could perhaps be improved at times.
