Sherwood Grange is a modern and luxurious care home in Kingston Vale, South London, offering high-quality residential, dementia and short-term respite care.

Residents live active and fulfilled lives with a range of superb facilities, including a cinema, hair salon and coffee shop, which is the hub of the home. Plenty of garden space means residents can enjoy growing vegetables and flowers, or simply relax outside on sunny days. As well as stunning shared spaces, every resident has their own beautifully furnished en-suite bedroom.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Sherwood Grange is a superb care home in every way. The staff are kind, helpful, pro-active, friendly and treat my father so well. The room and bathroom are clean, spacious and light. The entrance reception staff are efficient and welcoming and the reception area on the second floor is well manned.
The food at the restaurant is, in my opinion, the same standard as that we experienced when we used to visit a popular hotel chain with our father. They serve different starters, main courses and desserts every lunch and dinner time throughout the week - I often join my father for lunch so I know how good the food is. There is a cinema where my father and I have enjoyed the musical films they put on on a regular basis. They have activities like singalongs, exercise classes, visiting school choirs, poetry readings and many other things. There is even a hairdresser/barber. I really couldn't ask for more for my father.

You experience the warm welcoming atmosphere when visiting. The attitude you pick up is this is the residents home and he or she is free to be relaxed and free as possible while living in a communal environment are excellent. The carers are to be congratulated on their patience and kindness.

I can't speak highly enough of Sherwood Grange. All the staff here were so helpful, first in helping Dad to get a place and then the care they have provided has been amazing. My Dad has dementia and it was such a worry, but now he is so well looked after and it is nice to see him enjoying life. The
facilities are excellent and I enjoy visiting him. The staff make such an effort to make Dad's birthday special for all the family when visited. Sherwood Grange has given me so much hope that I can rest easy knowing Dad is happy and well looked after.

I wasn't able to cope at home alone with shopping, housework, gardening a general struggle. My son's mother-in-law is in the home so I have contact.
Because of how I was feeling I didn't do my hobbies but now can do my hobbies in the new home and take part.

Mum has settled well here due to the care the staff have taken with her.
This has included involving her in events that she has enjoyed and wouldn't have been able to do elsewhere. Everyone who works at Sherwood Grange is very approachable and helpful. Certainly the best place for her.

Having visited on many occasions, I have found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful to both the residents and visitors. There are always activities taking place, however, it would be nice to see someone of the less able-bodied residents to be included in these.

My mother-in-law has been in Sherwood Grange for 3 years.
We know she is a fussy eater but everyone complains about the food.
She pays enough in fees to warrant a better diet.
We should not have to provide food for her, which we do.
She knows what she likes and is quite happy to discuss.

Overall standard is very good, (excellent infers it cannot be better). The staff are attentive and treat residents as individuals, showing genuine care.
Food is variable but a new chef has been recently appointed so this aspect may well improve.
There are activities on every day of the week and many
are away from the home.
Nicely placed opposite the local church also adds another positive aspect of the home.

Our father has early dementia and is finding it increasingly difficult to get around. From the moment I first went into Sherwood Grange, I felt confident and at ease with the team and the surroundings. Dad has settled in so well and we are so pleased to have found Sherwood Grange. It has taken so much

The ethos of Sherwood is that this is our home. The care given by the staff and their patience is excellent, even though desired staffing levels may be difficult to achieve at times. Cleanliness is excellent. The food may not always please some residents of different tastes but the overall food is well
balanced. Fluids always! Rooms are pleasant and well appointed with fairly good ensuite facilities and activities varied and excellent for all. Management fully engaged with residents.

Job Title: Home Manager

I come from Poland originally, which is where I did my training, and I initially worked in orthopaedics as well as in emergency care.


When I moved to the UK I moved into social care. It was my first experience of it, but I haven’t looked back. I’ve discovered my dream career!


I love Care UK’s ‘fulfilling lives’ ethos: I truly believe that moving into a care home is an opportunity for residents to live life to the full, with care and support. I see it as the start of an exciting new phase of life, and it’s wonderful to see the positive effects of what we do, and how we make people happy.
